How do I unlock my ipod with out my code

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I pod disabled and cant remember passcode. cannot use itunes as it wants update and restore need to use passcode and the hold sleep/wake key and home key doesnt put it in DFU either . any help ?

My ipod has been disabled as I cant remember the passcode . When doing a restore on I Tunes it will only update and restore , the update doesnt work as the phone is locked and I need a passcode. I have tried the other way which is to hold the sleep/wake key and home key together for 10 seconds but as soon as you plug it inot the pc the ipod boots up so this method doesnt work either . Very close to usin it as a brick , any suggestions ?? Thank you

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

You should be able to remove the passcode by restoring the device. Do the following:
Connect the device to the computer to which you normally sync;
Open iTunes (Note: If iTunes prompts you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes" in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212 );
Right-click the device in the left column of iTunes and select Back up (read this article on how to restore http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 );
When the backup is complete, select Restore;
Whenever finished, restore from your most recent backup.

If that doesn’t work you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.

If that phone has been synced in iTunes, you can restore from the backup after having restored the phone.
There is also a little mac app that can read the iPhone backups that are in iTunes,called ibackupviewer.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff.
