I am looking for a reasonably priced sports video analysis software?

I am looking for a reasonably priced sports video analysis software? I need it to tag events during a sports game, then be able to recall the tags later.  There is software out there, but not a lot that are MAC compatable.

There's no way to do those things on an iPad.  If you have already installed a new application on the iPad (Disk Drill) then your file has probably already been overwritten.  Sorry.

Using Sothink video downloader, normally by default my video files are save in FLV extension. Now for whatever reason suddenly my video files are save in .ebm extension & I can't open my video file. "Save file Type As" -to select file extension does not seem to work -

It's a WEBM video file. My solution was to rename the file to have .webm extension, and play it with the latest VLC Player (2.1, but I think any from 1.1 and upper will solve it too). Just associate .ebm with VLC didn't work. I had to rename the files so VLC knew exactly what that thing was.
By the way, it worked the same way with a .eam file (!), I just renamed the extension to .webm.

  • Looking for a Photo Album or Photo Management Software

Does anyone know of any good software that I could use like a photo album, something like iView Media (which I have) but maybe a little more visually appealing. I'm not looking for anything to host pics online; I just want something that lets me break down my pictures by year...and then sub-folders for each year so I can have all different subjects. I haven't been able to find anything no matter how much I've googled...THANKS!!

    Medic2872P:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. As TD mentioned you can use iPhoto in the alias mode but you take on some additional responsibilities. When you delete a photo from the iPhoto library you do not delete it from the HD. That must be done manually from the Finder. It can be pretty easy to do that before deleting from iPhoto by Control-clicking on the thumbnail and selecting Show Original in the contextual menu. You'll be taken to the folder where the source file is located where you can delete it manually. Then delete it from iPhoto.
Secondly, you won't be able to add photos to existing source folder and have them imported into iPhoto automatically. So it's best to put each new import in their own folder and import that way. Also you should not rename or move a source file once it's been imported into iPhoto.
If you're interested in checking it out more thoroughly, read Tutorial No. 2.
If do decide on converting to an alias based library and want to preserve your keywords from the library, Tutorial #1 would be of help. You can follow #1 and then move the photos from the Originals sub folders into your other folders in the Pictures folder and replace the old files with the keyworded files. Next remove the old Library folder to the desktop, create a new library and set iPhoto's Advanced preferences to not copy file when importing. Then import your "source" folder into the new library and you're back in business.
But you should remember the caveats I've mentioned. If you're careful you can operate as you'd like.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Looking for a company to write Labview compatible software

Extech Instruments is a manufacturer of hand held test instruments (www.extech.com) . Along with our proprietary products we also import and private label a number of instruments from the far east. Many of these instruments have custom RS232 software available that allow them to communicate with a Windows XP compatible PC via the serial port.
We are looking at being able to offer these instruments with LabView compatible software/drivers? that would allow our users to integrate the instruments into their data acquisition systems.
We are looking for a company that would be able to take the existing instrument and software and do the programming so that we can offer a finished product with a LabView Compatib
    le label on it.
If you know of such a company please let me know.
    Thanks.

    Hi Scott,
I am the National Manager of Neo Vista Systems Integrators Pty Ltd, a National Instruments Alliance Member. We have extensive experience in providing "LabVIEW compatible" drivers for several companies in the same position as yours - developing a package that your customers can use to communicate with custom hardware, and have a great deal of experience with liasing with National Instruments in the creation of fully compatible code and licensing. All of the technical specialists that work on driver development are National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Developers (see here for more information of the CLD qualification), so they know LabVIEW back-to-front, and as they use LabVIEW drivers themselves, they know what structures and functionality that your customers are after. I'd like to hear more about you and your application. You're welcome to email me at [email protected] also, please feel free to browse our website, as it will give you a better understanding of our expertise, previous products, and corporate direction: www.nvsi.com.au. If you'd like, I'd be happy to provide you with example code and documentation to demonstrate our skills in driver production.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Christopher
PS: Several US customers are particularly happy with the project developmental time zone difference between Australia and the US, as whilst we provide a project manager that can be contacted 24hrs, the code development is carried out while you sleep - therefore any changes you request at the close of business can often be delivered to you email inbox by the next morning.

  • Looking for a reasonable looptime for my PID controler!!

    Good morning!
I am trying to do a PID control of a combustionchamber.  The setpoint and process value are the output  temperature, the value to  operate  is  the massstream of  the fuel.  My  in- and output datas are refreshed every 50 ms.  My problem is...
What is a reasonable looptime for my PID control?
    Do you have any ideas???
    thanks RT

My group has used the Sun Electronics PC-1000 Process Controller for some time, with good results. There are some instructions in the beginning of this Engineering Note (pdf link) that discribe how to iteratively determine the PID coefficients for a linear system. I'm not a mathematician, so I can't vouch for whole document, but their somewhat antiquated instruments DO work
Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T

  • Looking for a reason to stay with Verizon as my monthly plan cost has increased dramatically in the past year. Forced to change plan at last upgrade, and lines that used to be $10/mo are now $30/mo.  I cannot afford this any longer.

When I last upgraded, I was told that my current plan (unlimited data was no longer an option) was obsolete.  I had to go with the family plan and choose a data plan.  Also, the non-smartphones on the account are now $30/mo rather than $10 as they used to be.  The cost of service has increased dramatically in the last 18 months.  Why, when other services are offering unlimited data and less expensive monthly lines, does Verizon not offer this to at the very least, long-time, loyal customers?

RC like myself do not work for Verizon wireless.
    We are customers like yourself.
However his reply was 100% spot on. You may not like his answer but not liking it does not change the accuracy of it.
If you purchased at full price the unlimited data would have stayed.
But when people say upgrade they normally mean a free phone or greatly reduced phone with a two year contract.
The plan change was not necessary unless you purchased smart phones. If you were buying clam shell basic phones only then no plan changes should have been done.
You had 14 days to back out of the deal. Because you did not do so does not mean Verizon did not explain all your options.
You can port out and have Sprint or T-Mobile refund your early termination fees. I read this morning AT&T is also doing this on a limited basis.
Or you can go to Boost mobile or Net10 or Cricket prepaid all you can eat unlimited talk, text and data.
Also look at consumer cellular they may be just what you need.
They range from $10 to $50 check them out.
    Good Luck

    I don't mind, but I don't see how I can respond...

Sure: if you're flying business class all they way from New Zealand, staying in the Presidential suite at the Marriot and eating lobster all week I'm not sure where you got US6k from (I know that the Netherlands is long way to come from), but there are a number of ways to do it for much less than that...
I said it "might" add up to 6k USD For now I can only estimate, and I admid 6k is a worst case (or bad) estimate. Still, food, flight, airport taxes, cab fair, etc., it adds up...

But how to justify it from a commercial point of view?
Perhaps you're missing my blog's point - it's all about the people and the knowledge you gain from meeting with those people. The discussions you have with the people at NI-Week can justify the cost alone, not to mention the component ideas you might get from the exhibition and conference sessions. That said, if by "justify" you mean that you're only going to get good customer leads from the conference and a directly tangable financial return, then there's little doubt that you will fail That said, the knowledge you gain from the people can be directly applied to current and future projects, thus reducing your costs and increasing your capabilities - a secondary and tertiary financial gain, but it can be much more valuable than a direct sale or two (depending on your persepctive, I suppose...)
We have NI days here, and some NI week presentations are repeated here. I also read some NI week presentations online. No big eyeopeners there... NI days is mostly interresting for networking (meeting colleages). I know there are ways to save money by getting "hands on" knowledge, but I'd has to be sure a lot of knowledge to balance with the costs.
I guess I just have to try it out... I'm sure I'll enjoy myself...
    Regards,
    Wiebe.

  • Can I purchase a license for CS2 reasonably priced for my Mac?

I have a Mac Pro running OS X Snow Leopard and a Quicksilver running OS X Leopard.
I've seen a friend running CS2 successfully on similar machines, same operating systems.
    Can I purchase a license?
    Thanks.

Not likely at all to find a legal version and it's worth noting that CS2
isn't even supported under Snow Leopard.

    Hi,
I want to download list price for the following products:
OFSA FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing) and
    OFSA PA (Performance Analyser)
On http://www.oracle.com/corporate/pricing/pricelists.html I did not find these products included on any of the price lists published there.
Please help me where can I download this information?
    Thank you.

For me it is really a big surprise new versions will be for Leopard only. I don't think upgrading to Leopard is a must for existing users (I am using Tiger).
