I am looking for PG Certification in ERp/SAP

Hi All,
I am looking for PG Certification in ERp/SAP. I am looking for a course which Multiple modules are Covered in SAP. So please Share details with me, regarding which university Offering this type of courses.

Hi
There are many different universities which offer curriculum which include different aspects of SAP.  An emerging trend is to add "bolt on" SAP Consultant Certification training.  The most popular of these is TERP10.  A quick search of this site and you will find details aboutr this course.
There are a few universities who are allowed to offer other SAP Consultant Certification.  This can take the form of classroom training, elearning or a combination of both.
In terms of classroom training, University Technology Sydney offer FI/CO courses.  In terms of online there are 2 options.  The first is SAP eAcademy which which is offered by private providers and some universities and is available to the general public.  The SAP uAcademy is offered by a few universities in the world and is only available to university students.  Accordingly it is usually significantly cheaper.
Hope this helps

  • Looking for Master Thesis suggestion in SAP Business Intelligence Area

    Hi,
I am in final semester of my masters program in Electronic Business. I have studied SAP ERP (SAP ECC 6- MM, SD, PP) and Datawarehouse (DW structures, Reporting, ETL, etc) with SAP BW 3.5. I have also learned and worked with ABAP programing.
I am interested to do my masters thesis in SAP-BI area. Kindly guide me regarding some topics or current issues which i can further explore and work on.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Azam

    Hi Moshin,
You have to learn SAP BW 3.5 along with ABAP and BI 7.0. Because BW 3.5 is the earlier version of BI 7.0.
BO is widely used for Reporting which can work on any database.
It's better to join in SAP Authorized Institutes like the following. It may be expensive.
    1. Siemens
    2. Yash
    Etc..........

  • Looking for:  UA members with Student SAP User Group

    UA Professors in North America:
Does your campus have an offical SAP student user group, ERP special interest group or similar?  If you do, please post with a brief description of what that group is / does.
In the next month I would like to organize a conference call for the schools with these SIGs to understand what member schools are doing, how the groups are organized, how the groups are (or are not) affiliated with your SAP initiative on campus, what works / doesn't work for your students and so on.  Students at member schools have more and more interest in starting these groups - and we'd like to be ready to share best practices!  Our colleagues at ASUG are interested in this topic as well, and will join us for the call.
    Thanks for sharing!
    Best Regards,

Central Michigan University has remained active since Dr. Andera's last post (9/29/10). We fulfilled our goal of visiting Cargil and 3M this past March 2013 in ST. Paul/ Minneapolis.I attached a couple pictures of our visits to 3M & Cargil. It was a very rewarding experience that allowed us to present our program to each company in depth. This trip taught us as group many things. We have also gone to multiple ASUG meetings including Grand Rapids, and Detroit. We are currently invited to the ASUG-Illinois Meeting on Nov 1 at Harper College, and will be hosting an event in the fall here on CMU's campus in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
As a group we have weekly meetings including guest speakers and SAP TERP10 training sessions. Our group has now reached 100+ students and continues to grow each year. There are many things we are doing that attract new students.
For instance, this past year the Information Management Institute here on campus conducted the 1st annual ERPSim. An annual invitation only competition challenging the best ERPsim teams in a competition to determine which team has developed and implemented the best business strategy for the ERPsim Game.  Twenty teams of four students and one mentor competed head-to-head for the Top Honor of ERPsim Champion. The top five teams were rewarded with scholarship money and plaques.
So to answer your question, Central Michigan University currently has a very active SAP UASUG , and it only continues to grow!
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask, I am the president of the group here at CMU and would love to help you. Just email me at [email protected]

Here in BOM we have maintain the API quantity as 100% dry where as we received it in moist form. After sampling we come to know the moisture contain & assay contain. This value is stored in table driver directly from QA32 usage decision. We have maintain the classification view with moisture & Assay in %. for every batch the % moisture & Assay is different. Now i want to adopt the recipe formula for API calculation. The formula for calculation is as per below.
=(Bom Component Qty* Moisture contain %- Bom Component Qty* Assay%)/100

    Hi,
probably the TERP10 certification is what you are looking for.
Many universities offer this kind of certification, that includes a 10 days ERP course that ends with an certification exam.
If you search SDN or google using the keyword TERP10, you will get additional information about this certfication.

  • Looking for HA experiences for SAP on IBM i

    Hi,
We are very experienced in disasters, it seems not possible but it is true: in last three years we have suffered three major outages, with big downtimes ( from 13 hours to 36 ) in our main production system, our R/3 which is supposed to be a 24x7 system.
We started our HA architecture several years ago, using MIMIX to do a logical replica of our production database. It worked, but it needed so much administration at this time. So we moved to a hardware replica, using DS8000 storage subsystems and moving SAP to an iASP, we also use the Rochester Copy Services toolkit to manage all this landscape. At first we used MetroMirror, a synchronous protocol, because we still owned our machines and they were physically close. Recently we evolved our HA architecture, moving our systems to a different sites of an outsourcing partner, we were forced to change the replication protocol to GlobalMirror, asynchronous, because the distances.
We know what is a 'rare' hardware failure on our storage susbsystem: it started to write zeroes on a disk, without practically no detection, lots of SAP tables were damaged. We also have suffered a human error that deleted an online disk and killed all the iASP ( first real tape recovery in my life ). And finally we know what is a power failure in the technical room of our partner. Imagine that all this failures with a database that is 3TB big. Do you know how much time is needed to restore from tape and run APYJRNCHGX or rebuilding access paths ? I know...
As you can imagine we have invested a lot of money trying to protect our data, and it worked because we have never lost any bit of information but our recovery times are always far from the ones needed.
I'm looking for experiences about how other SAP on IBM i customers are managing the HA in his critical systems, and if possible compare real experiences of similar outages. What are we doing wrong ? We cannot be the only ones...
    Regards,
    Joan B. Altadill

    Hi Joan,
We run MIMIX replication for our ERP system/partition and 4 other partitions with BW, Portal, PI, SRM, and Solution Mgr in them.  There is some administration but it has been worth it for us.  We have duplicate 570 hardware in an offsite DC 35 miles away for failover.  We also do our backups on the replicated systems.  We have been running MIMIX since going live with SAP in 1998.
Several years ago we used MIMIX replication to migrate to new servers during lease replacement which cut our migration downtime from 8 hrs for backup/restore to about 1 hr while we shut down the system on old servers, started up ERP system on new servers and checked all the interface connections.
But the real payoff came in March this year when our production server went down hard during a hot maintenance procedure.  We were able to MIMIX switch to our DR server in under 1 hr and the business ran on the DR server for two weeks, while we reverse-replicated, then we switched back.
We have subsecond replication so we did not lose any data and there were no incomplete transactions on the DR side after the switch.   MIMIX paid for itself, including administration, in that one incident.
    Hope this helps,
    Margie Teppo

  • Looking for SAP MM Certification guidance - Mining & Resources

    Hello All;
Anyone who has recently certified in MM module, I am looking for some guidance on which of these you think is more appropriate for mining, oil & gas sectors:
    https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/c_tscm52_66-sap-certified-application-associate---procurement-with-sap-erp-60-ehp6-g/
    https://training.sap.com/shop/certification/p_lewm_64-sap-certified-application-professional---logistics-execution--warehouse-mgmt-with-sap-erp-60-ehp4-g/
I have 8 years experience working in SAP MM including P2P Transactional Purchasing, LIV, Inventory & Warehouse, RLM and BI reporting.  I would appreciate any advice, tips or useful information in preparing for certification.
    Thanks,
    Jim Beaudoin

Thats a very generic and vague question.
But to sart with, get trained in SAP Security. You might even go for Certification if you have the time and money for that.  And then just float your Resume.

  • Looking for best approach to implement all ERP and CRM Analytics

There is a scope to implement all the ERP Analytics (HR, Finance, SCM, Procurement & Spend, Project) and CRM Analytics (Sales, service, Marketing, Contact Center, Price, Loyalty ). Just want to know the best approach for impelmentation of both ERP and CRM analytics
1- Work with two separate containers with separate execution plan for ERP and CRM
2- Work with one container with one execution plan for both ERP and CRM
3- Work with one container with separate execution plans for both ERP and CRM
Also, Please let me know if there any standard document to achieve both the implementations simultaneously.
    Thanks!

Answer, as always, is "it depends". Here is a list of things to consider w the 3 approaches you mentioned:
1- Work with two separate containers with separate execution plan for ERP and CRM
This is a good approach if you plan on a different frequency of ETL loads for each container or different timings. As long as the targets are the same and you run INCREMENTAL loads from both containers, then the refresh dates will be updated. This is usually a good idea if your ERP and CRM users have different timing and load requirements and do not want to "interfere" w each other. You will also have DATASOURCE NUM ID uniquely defined for each system so the data will be segregated. By default, each source system will have its own container
2- Work with one container with one execution plan for both ERP and CRM
This is good if you are ok w the same exact load time for both. Its a simple approach and all tables will be loaded at the same time to avoid any confusion.
3- Work with one container with separate execution plans for both ERP and CRM
Not sure what the advantage of this option versus keeping them in separate containers (like Option 1).
I would also review the secion in the DAC guide for "MultiSource Execution Plans"
    if helpful, pls mark correct

  • LabVIEW Certificated MSc student looking for any related job

I am a MSc student studying Electronic & Computer Based System Design in the UK. I have LabVIEW project experience and got certificate from National Instruments. I am looking for any type of job relating to my course.

    My CV:

I like the optical bay caddy idea, as I barely use my optical drive anyway and it has some issues. The NewModeUS caddy seems a tad expensive for what it is, but it doesn't seem like there are any other options to choose from. I think I would probably just get an external USB optical drive to replace the internal optical drive completely.
So, NewModeUS caddy, and how's this for a HDD?  One possible issue; I've read that some people have had issues with a 7200 RPM drive not working correctly when used as a secondary drive. A fluke, I hope?
I've looked at the generic disk setup guidelines, and I'm wondering how much of a performance boost I would get from getting a 3rd drive (using eSATA). Is it worth going all in with that, or is getting even just a second drive going to help out significantly? The external option I've come up with: docking station (thanks John T Smith), and HDD (recommended on the forum)
The Cineform neoscene looks useful, but I'm not sure I'm prepared to spend $130 on what is essentially a file converter. Thoughts on how much that would actually affect performance?
Thanks for everyone's help so far, there's been more helpful suggestions than I'm allowed to mark, it looks like .

  • Looking for ideas for transferring large amounts of data between systems

    Hello,
I am looking for ideas based on best practices for transferring Large Amounts of Data in and out of a Netweaver based application.
We have a new system we are developing in Netweaver that will utilize both the Java and ABAP stack, and will require integration with other SAP and 3rd Party Systems. It is a standalone product that doesn't share any form of data store with other systems.
We need to be able to support 10s of millions of records of tabular data coming in and out of our system.
Since we need to integrate with so many different systems, we are planning to use RFC for our primary interface in and out of the system. As it turns out RFC is not good at dealing with this large amount of data being pushed through a single call.
We have considered a number of possible ideas, however we are not very happy with any of them. I would like to see what the community has done in the past to solve problems like this as well as how SAP currently solves this problem in other applications like XI, BI, ERP, etc.

Primoz wrote:Do you use KDE (Dolphin) 4.6 RC or 4.5?
Also I've noticed that if i move / copy things with Dolphin they're substantially slower than if I use cp/mv. But cp/mv works fine for me...
Also run Dolphin from terminal to try and see what's the problem.
Hope that help at least a bit.
Could you explain why Dolphin should be slower? I'm not attacking you, I'm just asking.
Cause I thought that Dolphin is just a „little" wrapper around the cp/mv/cd/ls applications/commands.
