I am looking to implement a POS system using my iPad, What is the best software and hardware for POS?

One of my clients wants to transition to an iPad POS system and I want to know what are the best software and hardware options?
I am going to completely upgrade the hardware so I'll need solutions for card readers, printers, cash drawers and iPad enclosures that are compatible with an iPad POS system.
Any help would be appreciated!

What is the best/efficient DB Design for a device reservation system?

I have to design table structure for a device reservation system. The user can reserve any device for a period of time (start time and end time).
Based on the reserved devices
1) I need to show on the UI if the device is reserved or available
2) for any logged in user, to reserve, how do I validate and check all the devices and allow the user to reserve the device
with minimal logic
Each reservation for a particular time for a device may be present as one record, when the user is reserving we have to consider the entire set of records to arrive at a conclusion whether the device is reserved or free for that particular amount of time.
How do we do this with minimal logic and what is best db/table design for this kind of system.

You may have a Users/Customers table (contains users personal info)
You may have a Devices table (contains info about devices (name, supplier and etc))
You may have a reservation table that contains a userid + deviceid + startdate + end date+ quantity...

They all access the same data, so one's as good as another. iStat Menus is good for displaying a variety of information in the menubar for convenient access. But if all you want are temperature readings then I would select Temperature Monitor 4.98.

What is the best CPU/FAN combo for my system

My computer configuration is located in my Signature....
With this type of CPU and motherboard, what kind of heatsink/fan combo would you recommend. I am using the one that came with my 2100 processor and I'm worried because I don't think this will provide adequate CPU cooling. So what CPU/FAN combo would give me the best bang for my buck.

Looking for best application and stylus for iPad

I am looking to download an application for an ipad to use with a stylus, but don't know which application or stylus is best. Please share your opinion on the best application and stylus for taking handwritten notes.

Procreate is the only good reason to own an iPad, it has support for the top three stylus. However iOS7 has broken the Bluetooth Bridge that Pogo Connect, Wacom and Jot need to give pressure sensitive support. Procreate hardly works now.. except..you want to finger paint.
But when it is fixed I would suggest buying the Pogo Connect and a set of nibs and if I had only one App to use it with I'd use Procreate. It's vastly superior to many desktop Apps too.
However, Apple relying on third party Stylus support only makes my MS Surface Pro look like where I'll be spending my cash on the next upgrade cycle. Why Apple has not come out with an iPad Pro is a stunning insult.

What is the best way to connect a MacBook Pro to my HiFi system ?

I'm new to Apple support communities having just bought my first Macbook Pro (a 17" 2.5GHz i7 model) and this is my very first community post.
Im a bit of a Hi-Fi enthusiast, so, with my new MacBook Pro I've taken the opportunity of completely reloading my iTunes library in high quality Apple Lossless format. Took a while but now I've completed the task Im pleased I've done it.
My question is, what is the best way to connect a Macbook Pro to a high quality Hi-Fi preamp - my Hi-fi system is musical Fidelity, and the pre amp (an A5 CR Pre amp) and this pre amp, which has superb audio quality, only has analogue phono inputs ?
I'm interested to understand what both the wired and wireless connection options are. I'm guessing one option must be to use the headphone output, but I have no idea if the output from the headphone socket on my new macbook (which is presumably designed to drive headphones) would be at a suitable level for a phono line level input ?
Ive also read a few comments about using digital connection - and my second question would be - what is the audio digital connection on my macbook ?
Aplogies if this question has been asked lots of times before but I've looked through some previous posts and can't find any answers in simple and straightforward language concentrating on the issue of connecting a MacBook Pro to an analogue phono pre amp input ?

What is the best way to connect a MacBook Pro to my HiFi system?
Look at the back of the reciever and see what your connection options are, the front headphone jack is output usually.
The Mac's analog audio in/out ports doubles as a optical in/out ports.
The analog won't over power your amp, it's just a headphonejack, like a powered mic, just enough power to get the signal to the destination in one piece.
Since you have a analog amp, your stuck with inferior analog connections, however you mentioned you wish to listen to the best sound quality of your lossless music.
To do that your going to need a decent surround sound system with Toslink optical import jacks, a Toslink stereo jack to regular Toslink adapter, Toslink cable and enable the optical output in your System Preferences >Sound
Another method is to use a Airport Express, it also has duo analog/opical out port. Then set up the Airport Express for iTunes streaming using the Airport Utility, then in iTunes setup the lower right corner one can set the connection.
I recommned a Harmon Kardon surround sound system, with their 100 watt satelight speakers and the 200 watt subwoofer. Enable the "concert hall" and other neat effects which will turn your 2.0 (stereo) iTunes music into 4 channel speaker sound filling the room with music and sending the lower channels to the subwoofer.
It will likely bring tears to your eyes that you can actually hear the full quality of your music as intended, I almost quarranty you will never want listen to music on a crappy iPhone or iPod again.
If a surround sound system is out of your budget, you can get by using the Harmon Kardon "Go Play" portable stereo and a analog stereo cable.
If your going to use your analog amp to power reference speakers, then there are various analog adapters of all sorts to make the appropriate connections once you know what they are, check out Radio Shack online for them.

That's a nice system Kevin, and it will work very nicely with Photoshop. I do take it that you have 16Gb RAM in Total?
250Gb SSD is a good size, but you can still run short, and that will affect Windows performance. When you get your system, instal WinDirStat which gives you a graphic display of everything on your drive, like below. Clicking on any of the large areas will tell you what and where they are, so you can think about moving cache folders etc. to one of the HDDs.
Leave the Pagefile.sys on the boot drive. Think about disabling Hyphenate as it takes a ton of space, and too often crashes on wake up.

Think about another 500Gb drive just for Photoshop Scratch. Drives are cheap as chips nowadays
Do yourself a favour, and invest $100 in Shadow Protect (or similar if there is such a thing) SP saves incremental backups every 15 minutes (you can set the interval, but it has no impact on performance with a system like yours). If you have a problem you can mount the back up at any of those 15 minute points, and open files from it. You can also make a bootable DVD image of your C drive, and be back up and running five minutes after disaster strikes.
