I am Losing Control of Tools..Why

I am having a bizarre incredibly frustrating thin happen....when i am working with a toool i lose control of it...for example in free transform when adjusting an image (finger held on control button) the selection will jump almost as if someone has bumped my hand while dragging....if i am using the spot healing tool after i click the correction will skidd across the image making a blurry streaky path...i have no idea why this is happening and it happens with increased frequecy...i keep having to step backwards...VERY FRUSTRATING!!! any ideas??
THANKS!!!!!!

One thing not mentioned:
Mouse buttons do get "dirty" and make intermittent contacts.  Also, check the port at the bottom.  Sometimes hairs and dust get in there and make things jump.
Try swapping out the mouse with one known to work on another computer to confirm or eliminate this as a possibility.

    I purchased my IPad 3 in June and it keeps losing its GPS signal why is this please?  I have not been able to use the NavFree or SatVav applications or search google whilst travelling

    If you mean adding a GPS receiver into the iPad then no, an iPad can't have it's hardware changed. There are stand-alone GPS units that work with the iPad e.g. Bad Elf GPS receiver (I haven't got one but I've seen it mentioned on here a few times)

    If it's the cursor you're talking about In Windows, try this:
    Right-click the desktop.
    Choose Personalize.
    Click the Display link.
    Change to a slightly different size.  For example, if you're at 150%, try using the Custom sizing options link and setting to 149% or 151%
    If you're seeing what Trevor is showing, without a delay, it's possible your left and right mouse buttons are swapped.

  • Tab control usiong tool bar

    Hi!
    In my application i want show different graphs using tab control.How can i control the page selection  of tab cntrl.  using different buttons that i put up on my tool bar.Is there any property to this op.?
    Thanks
    DeWalker
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Create a local variable of the tab control and wire a constant into it. Run this code when your button is pressed.
    The downside of this is that if you are reading the value of the tab control as well, it will break dataflow and cause a race condition.

  • HT6027 What the heck is switch control for and why would I use it?

    This doesn't begin to explain what this function is or why I would want to use it. What would it do for me exactly? "Switch Control helps you navigate your Mac using switches to enter text, interact with various items on the screen, play games, and ..."

    Switch Control is a feature that enables users with fine motor impairments to access their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad through the use of one or more switches. Switch Control highlights items and item groups one by one on the device screen. To make a selection, the user activates a switch when the desired item or item group is highlighted.

  • SQLPlus behaving differently in DOS prompt than in windows tool - why?

    I'm executing the following using both sqlplus from a DOS prompt, and in the SQLPlus Windows application. I get different behavior and am trying to determine why. Here's the code:
    create procedure JUSTTESTING (DebugStatus IN VARCHAR2)
    AS
    BEGIN
    <do stuff>;
    IF DebugStatus = 'MakeChanges' THEN
    commit;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Changes Made!');
    ELSE
    rollback;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Not gonna do it');
    END IF;
    END;
    Case 1: I fire up the Windows SQLPlus application and type in:
    "execute justtesting('MakeChanges');"
    it responds "Changes Made!"
    If I type "execute justtesting('Just kidding');"
    it responds "Not gonna do it"
    This is as expected, of course.
    Case 2: Now, let's store the following in a text file called "a.sql":
    execute justtesting('MakeChanges');
    execute justtesting('Just kidding');
    quit
    Then I type this from a DOS box:
    sqlplus login/pwd@env @a.sql
    The output says:
    "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed"
    "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed"
    The PUT_LINE does not execute, nor does the commit when I give the right parm. Why, and how can I make it work?
    This is Oracle 8.0 - I know that's way behind the times but that's unfortunately beyond my control.

    This is Oracle 8.0 - I know that's way behind the times but that's unfortunately beyond my control.As Anurug says, in the command line version you'll need to do...
    set serveroutput onbefore any dbms_output calls are made so that SQL*Plus retrieves the contents of the DBMS_OUTPUT buffer and displays it.
    As for you saying the commit does not execute, there doesn't appear to be anything in your code to commit, so how are you determining that?

  • Imaq Image Display Control - Zoom tool - zoom factor changes slowly

    Hi at all,
    we have a strange behavior with the zoom factor of the Image Display Control in an Labview executable.
    Ususally by clicking into the image with the zoom tool activated, the zoom factor changes from 1,2,4,8,16, ... ("x2")
    Now we have one PC, where it changes from 1,2,3,4,5,... ("+1")
    Has anyone an idea on which windows setting this behavior depends on? The PC runs with Windows XP SP3, the LV-Exe was built
    with LabVIEW 8.5.1 and the Vision Development Module 8.5.0. Is there any regsitry setting where I can adjust the "click intensity" or
    something like that? Or can I set a property of the image control to force a specific behavior?
    Actually I have never seen this behavior before, I only know the half/double mode.
    In the software the operator has to search for fiducials on PCBs what means he has to click several times into the image.
    Changing in the Mode "+1" instead of "x2" is not acceptable for him.
    Thanks for your help!
    Stefan

    Hello Stefan,
    thank you for posting at the National Instruments forum. The "Zoom Behaviour" was changed due to customer requests. I totally agree with you, that it is not the best solution to click 24-times to get the desired region of interest.
    I created a small example for LabVIEW 2010, which uses a property node and event structure, to perform the zoom programmatically.
    Best regards

  • Interactively changing values to table problem: indicator and control table, and why it does not work after a while...?

    I have been producing a VI that loads a set of data and displays it in a table: A table control is initialised with an empty variable, the loaded data takes the place of the variable and fills the table, while some headers are added. That table feeds an intensity graph to give a pictorial impression of the data.
    With this scheme, a user can change any value of the table, and the changes are interactively reflected on the graph.
    Problem: after few saving of the VI, the access to the table doesn't work anymore. It is the same with all my numerical controls in the VI where it should be possible to enter a value.
    If anybody has an idea on the potential
    causes of these problem, I would be really grateful as it is very useful...when it works !
    Regards,
    Elie Allouis

    I can not image what is causing the error. Would you be willing to post some code to see if we can reproduce the problem?

  • I received notification of a new update to Firefox, but did not install it due to losing my Norton Tool Bar. I am now receving messages to update Firefox. How can I update this and keep my Norton Tool Bar? It has my logins and websites.

    When I received notification (about a week ago) to install the latest update to Firefox, the update stated that I would lose the Norton Tool Bar with the installation of the update. The issue is that I use the Identity Safe feature in the Norton Tool Bar for the majority of my logins. To lose this feature would be a hardship. Is there any way I can maintain the Norton Tool Bar?

  • I have a Toolbar, but no button for' Tools', why? and how can I get it?

    on the Right top is a star for Bookmarks, below that is a green wheel which I thought would be "Tools", but its not. It's 'Toolbar Settings' I can't find the Tools button.

    I guess the green wheel might be the "WOT" extension doesn't sound like something in Firefox.
    You can make '''Firefox 6.0.2''' look like Firefox 3.6.*, see numbered '''items 1-10''' in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 thru 8.0, look like 3.6)]. ''Whether or not you make changes, you should be aware of what has changed and what you have to do to use changed or missing features.''

    There is a lot more beyond those first 10 steps listed, if you want to make Firefox more functional.

  • I create a CNiGraph control dynamically, But why havent I seen the Demo Mode Message Window?

    I am a licenced user of Mesurement Studio. I create a CNiGraph control dynamically. All work well.
    Then I copied my source code to another PC, I run "regsvr32 cwui.ocx", I found I can compile my source code on that computer, without any message box.
    But some people said that there will be a Demo Mode Message box.
    That's to say, any one can copy my source code to other computer and compile it well, then how can I protect my right?
    On what condition the Demo Mode Message Box will appear? I want it to show up when others use my code.

    It sounds like you were expecting the message box to come up at compile-time. Is that correct? If so, that is not expected and should not ever happen - the message box that you're referring to should not come up until you actually run the application. However, if you're dynamically creating the control and you are specifying the license string at creation time in your code, I expect it would still work when you take the code to another machine. Could you please reply with more information about what you're trying to do and how you expect this to work? Thanks.

  • Lowlevel video output switch controls? Modulized, why?

    Hi
    Well, i use Arch on my laptop. And there is one thing, which makes me wanna jump on it. The Lowlevel video output switch controls kernel module. I need this activated in order to switch between the projector and my laptop, I have my finals soon so its important this works as it should.
    Would it be possible to enable this module in later pacman-versions of the kernel? At the time beeing, I would have to recompile everything my self. Which I have yet to become successful at, something is always wrong. But I`ll summarize what I would like to do:
    #Build a kernel with this option, choosing it from grub at boot-time. But still have the "pacman-version" in case i mess up somethings up.
    NOTE I use luksEncrypted root, does this option do anything to the kernel? Since the installer asks if you need to boot from an encrypted volume. Just asking...
    Anyway, can I just download the kernel source. Run make menuconfig, activate the Low level video output switch controls. Then -> make modules_install? And then copy the kernel-version over to boot, and use it? Or what else?
    Thank you so much for helping, took me ages discovering this feature was disabled on purpose.

    sveinemann wrote:Nice, any idea when it`ll be in core? I cant risk having an unstable kernel, this is my work laptop <3
    Not before next weekend. My best guess is next Wednesday or later.
