i am lost Arabic language .
how can i get it back ???

The reason you lost your  Arabic after the ANNA  update is because  the language was installed as optional on your device thorough a care point.
You may wish to apply the same method as you  previously did.
I hope this answer  your question.

No, that is not the reason. There are no "optional" languages in Nokia firmware variants. Carltabi, you may wish to check how things really are with your Nokia colleagues that know how things work for real.
The real reason is that the phone was originally manufactured with a firmware variant that did not have Arabic, because it was intended to be sold in a country/region where Arabic is not spoken.
Afterwards someone (not likely a Nokia Care Point, but more likely some unauthorized importer) changed the firmware, but did not change the product code value, and then sold it.
After that, when a Nokia-supported firmware update was done (with Nokia Software Updater, or over-the-air), the phone reverted back to the firmware variant that the device had originally (i.e., what the product code says the phone had when it was originally manufactured).
If a Nokia Care Point updates the firmware to a different language variant firmware, they should also have the means to change the product code to match the new firmware, so that NSU and OTA updates do not change the firmware (languages) back.

I installed software update for Nokia 6131 with Firmware 6.10 and I lost arabic language and now I can't write arabic message please I want help because I do n't know what I can do to solve this problem or this situation please.....

No, the update will not remove languages, if they were there when the phone was originally manufactured.
NSU is just delivering the latest version of whatever phone software (firmware), including the languages, the phone had when it was manufactured.
When you lose a language, then the phone was originally manufactured for a different country/region with different languages, and someone (illegally) imported it and changes the firmware to a different language/region. NSU does not know this was done, and just delivers what the phone originally had, and what Nokia's systems think it still should have.

  • I lost my language after updating

    hi all
    i have nokia x6
i updated  my nokia x6 to new software 20.001
and then i lost my language (arabic)
    what is the solution ?

It means that your phone was not originally intended for sale in areas with arabic language and that language pack was manually flashed into your phone.
Head to a Nokia Care Center and ask them to install an arabic language pack.

  • Lost Chinese Language After Update

    G'day,
I recently bought a 7230 while living in China and downloaded and installed the Ovi program for my PC.  On running Ovi, with my phone connected via USB, I saw that there was an update available for the phone so I went through the update process. I have now lost all of the Chinese language options.
It is a major annoyance as I get a lot of texts in Chinese and, although I can't type in Chinese, I need to be able to send text from my phone to people who may not be able to read English.  I have read that it isn't possible to install a language onto the phone, which seems silly, to say the least, but is it at least possible to install an updated ROM for this region?
    Kinda peaved!!!

The phone you bought is most likely a 'grey-import' intended for a market elsewhere than China, and the person who unofficially imported it added the Chinese language pack to make it look legitimate without caring that you would lose that language in any update.
As Farby states, the only legimate way to have it added back is to ask a Nokia service point. For future reference, it is best to check these things when buying phones because this kind of thing becomes more and more common - the big problem is that if you phone genuinely isn't one intended for sale in your country, then the Nokia warranty won't be valid.

  • N95, lost most languages after update

I had about 7 or more languages before the update and now I have only 3. I lost my native language in the phone. why?

    Hi piccolo
The software version delivered by Nokia Software Updater is determined by the "seven digit" product code on label under the battery. Unless the product code has been amended, this should deliver the language pack related to the country of first point of sale.

  • Lost All Languages

You think I would learn by now. Here I go again reading these books and forums online about how to "maximize" my machine. Every time I do this I end up here looking for help.
I just read (less than an hour ago at Barnes & Noble) how to free up more disc space by deleting unused languages from programs. I started with the Mail program. I selected all the languages and then unchecked English. Then I hit remove and whala, now my Mail program is not breathing.
Is there a way to repair this? My wife is going to kill me. Have I lost all of the emails that were saved?
    Somebody please help me........
    This is so embarrassing....
    V.

Whoa! I checked the trash bin and found a bunch of upset and confused files. "Why are we in the trash?" What did we do?"
Anyway, I restored the program....everything's cool.
I know just enough to get into trouble.

  • I Lost Arabic Language After Updating Software c3-...

Hi Everyone , Sorry for disturbing' you but I'm really need help !
First, I had a problem with a message that appears when I tries to use camera " File not supported " , so I Setup Ovi Pc suite and Update my Mobile Software which was v4.20 to v7.20 , and it seems to work good , but when I'm trying to write a message in Arabic , There's No Arabic ! And You know I need it cause I'm in Middle East Area , and it's usually used here ! .. Waiting for helping ..
    Thanks !

It seems that your phone was not intended to be sold in your region.. The retailer added the language afterwards for his own gains... You may contact the retailer again and explain the issue.. and if you are lucky, you may get the language pack added (..may be free of cost.. if you insist..) .. If not then the ONLY solution that remains is to get it installed at Nokia Care.. may be by paying a little fee..
Be warned that you will be in the same situation again if you go for any firmware update in the future...
BTW.. there are n no. of threads on similar subject already on this forum. Always SEARCH for your problem first.. before you start a fresh thread...

I have two computers. They both had Acrobat 10.1.7 greek installed. The first computer was showing the menu in the Acrobat correctly in greek but the other in english. I had asked this forum with someone else that had this problem in spanish and no solution was found. Now, I updated Acrobat to version 10.1.10 and the language in the first computer turned to english there too. In Acrobat's International settings the greek language is set but everything including the menu is in english. For God's sake, can anyone help me solve my problem?

When I update my phone's software my phone was with automatic language and it was English but when I go to the phone settings I saw that I haven't got Bulgarian Language. It wasn't a problem but now I want Bulgarian Language urgently. Please if enybody know what I must do to have a Bulgarian language to write. Thank you for reading that!

Your phone was not meant for the Bulgarian market. The dealer who sold you the phone probably installed a language pack containing Bulgarian before selling you the phone. When you updated the firmware it reverted back to the original language pack. You need to contact ypour local Nokia Care Point about reinstalling the Bulgarian language pack again.

  • Updated 5230 firmware - lost Chinese language supp...

    Hi,
I live in China and bought a 5230 last week.
When I bought it the languages supported were English, Malay, and Chinese (both simplified & traditional)
I updated the software/firmware yesterday using the Nokia Software Updater, and now the fonts, etc look much better than before...but the languages on the phone have changed to English, French, Portuguese and Arabic (I think its Arabic, but I can't understand what it says).
Any Chinese Characters that were on my phone are now displayed as little boxes, and I can't type Chinese in an SMS.
When I bought my phone, the shop told me the phone was from Hong Kong...but I dunno how true this is.
How can I get Chinese language support back on my phone and keep the new user-friendly look and feel?
    Thanks!

Sadly the shop you bought it from has sold you a modified import.  They import them from elsewhere then modify the firmware to include the regional languages.  This process also voids the warranty.
When the phone is updated it rightly defaults back to the set of languages that it should have originally been installed on it.
To get Chinese back on the phone you will either have to contact the retailer that sold it to you or a nokia care point.  You can find details of your nearest care point via the "contact us" link near the top of the page.
Any other unofficial ways of adding languages that you may read about on other forums cannot be discussed here.

  • After I updated software lost Arabic Language

I bought a Nokia 6300 from Dubai and the orignal language was Arabic , then I made software update ( updated to 550) but after that I found the languages are only (English, French and Portgees)
in order to get the Arabic back I have tried to restore it to the orignal factory setting but without any success.

Your phone was originally manufactured for a region where French and Portugese is spoken (English is always on every device).
Then someone imported it to an Arabic speaking country and illegally updated the firmware.
When you used NSU, the upgrade used the information on the phone (product code) to install the latest version of the original firmware.
You can ask if a Nokia repair center in an Arabic speaking country can help you.
Or you can return the device to the seller and ask for a device that was originally also intended for an Arabic speaking country (or you can buy a new one from a reseller that sells legally imported devices).

If you are referring to the phone's language pack, it is market-dependent and pre-installed on the phone. Phones that supports these language are usually being sold only to countries where the language is mainly spoken.
