I am new to adobe so forgive me if I should know answer ? lifecycle
I am trying to make a form in Lifecycle which will have multiple document. I may not print all of the pages all of the time so i need some infomation like persons name to be on all of the forms? I am hoping I can set it up so once I type the name on the first page it will add it to any other page where I have a name field? is there a way to do this. second question if I have a pdf I all ready use can I add to the end of a new document I made in lifecycle?

For the first question, the field names have to be the same and the field binding has to be set to Global, as opposed to Normal or anything else.
The second question depends on a numbe of things. It would be best to ask in the LiveCycle Designer forum here and include more details.

I am new to Adobe Designer, so pls forgive me if this is a stupid question...I have also tried to search for the answer - but no luck...
This is the requirement:
- the user opens a PDF form
- the user fills in the required fields
- the user clicks on a SEND button
- an alert is shown "PDF sent!"
==> I.e. this button should send the PDF form to a pre-defined e-mail address in the BACKGROUND. The user should not see the e-mail, nor be able to edit it. I.e. we are looking for a way to send the PDF to an e-mail address without being dependant on whether the user has an e-mai client or not. The receiver should see an e-mail in his inbox with the PDF form attached to it and a standard text.
Is this possible to achieve? What is required?

This would not only be a HUGE security hole if this were allowed (you can have any PDF form out there e-mailing any information it wants to any address without you even knowing it) but it would also require Acrobat to handle SMTP transfers to a mail sever.
The solution of allowing the OS-defined default mail client to handle this solves both problems. Aandi's option is what you would have to do - submit the data via webservice and have your remote server e-mail out the data. -

Dear Adobe, Please add the Export panel back to Bridge! The ability create presets to batch save RAW files to JPEG in a specified size was/is critical to my workflow. I like that I could just drag/drop the files to my custom "Save to Hard Drive" preset, click one button, and Bridge would process and save any number of files in the background. I can't believe the official solution is for users to go to Lightroom to export photos they are already managing in Bridge/Photoshop. If I'm using Bridge, it's because I prefer it to Lightroom. What about the users who don't even have access to Lightroom? What are they supposed to do (besides buy and learn Lightroom)? I just can't understand why when I am spending $50/month for this software, Adobe is removing more features than it's adding?

I had a need for drawing. I love this app. Please continue to develop it. It is amazing. I was worried because the iPad has no pressure sensitivity, but muse works around this and it is excellent. Can it be better? Absolutely, but it is great for such a young program. Please Keep developing it and promote it more. And on what system? Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, if that's what you are using. You need to upgrade then.

New to Adobe Forms and need help with Submit Email button
I am new to Adobe Forms in Windows. I created a form with a submit email button. When users try to click the button, the message is operation cannot be completed. My test user has Adobe Reader 9 installed. I'm at a loss as to how to resolve the issue. Please assist. TIA!
Three different aspects
1. Set the form up to submit the data (XML or FDF), not the full PDF. You can import the data to the PDF on your end.
2. You can turn on Extended Reader Rights, but then limit the use/users to 500 by the EULA. The applicability of this option depends on your intended application. In a small office, it would be fine. For general web use you would likely exceed the limit and be in violation of the EULA.
3. There may be an e-mail problem, one reason that e-mail is not recommended for form submission (even if the manual discusses it). Again, in a controlled environment like an office it will probably work fine, but in a web setup it is best to use a web script. There are 2 problems with e-mail that both depend on the client system (YOU have no control, but will be blamed in any case). First, the client machine has to be set up as an active MAPI client. Many folks do not have this on. Second, some e-mail clients treat PDFs like text and the result is a corrupt e-mail submission, even if it makes to you.
If you have the possibility of web submission, do it. I suggest only having the form data submitted and not the form. -

I am an AS3 developer, deeply in love with it. Recently I was very disappointed with Adobe.
Fp11.8 seems update frequenctly, but nearly no change. New feathers is all the same every time, why? Unity 3d and Fusion Chart has said goodbay to Flash Player, Weather Adobe is also?Not sure exactky what's your point, but FP has been gaining some pretty nice features. The GameInput API, for example, is awesome despite a couple of remaining bugs, and a few cool GPU-acceleration features and updates have been creeping in FP too. I'd assume the frequent updates are more due to stability, while point releases are the ones where you see new features. You may want to double-check the changelog to see what has been changed on every version.
Unity has said goodbye to Flash because it solved a problem that was virtually nonexistant, and Fusion Charts would do better with a more cross-platform solution (e.g. Canvas/SVG) considering their target audience. I don't think either have anything to do with Flash technology per se. -
Cannot install new software - adobe acrobat 9 pro
Hi
I have just upgraded my system software to Snow Leopard Mac OS X 10.6.3 so that I could install new software - Adobe CS5 Design Premium.
System upgarde went perfectly, installation of all other software in CS5 went perfectly and now all I need to do is install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I drag the folder from the CD into my Applications folder but it does not complete the process of copying it and comes up with the folowing error message:
'The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in Adobe Acrobat Pro can't be read or written (Error code -36)'
Prior to this installation attempt I removed Acrobat 8 as instructions that came with 9 indicated that I needed to do this. The only other info that may be relevant is that this software is an upgrade pack from Adobe CS2, though I did not have CS2 on this particluar computer. It was on a different computer.

This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance.
I updated to the latest version of Adobe Air, I uninstalled the previous (1.0) version of Lens Profile Downloader (dragged it to the trash and emptied the trash), and I rebooted my Mac. I have tried downloading the file and rebooting my Mac several times and get the same error message every time. Any other suggestions? -

Assuming that you are in Win (which you haven't said), you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of previous versions of Reader:

Then, download the full offline Reader installer from

and run it immediately after restarting your computer. -
I descarguei these new versions adobe creative Cloud, y uninstalled for removing the trash, why did not interest me, then appearing me sigue to update something that I have not already installed, how do I solve this problem?

A good place to start is with the Flex in a Week online course that you can do at your own pace. You can download the Day Project Files and get PDFs of all the transcripts for the videos and all the starter and solution files.

It is not in a PDF format but you can print it out or just work at your own pace online to get started with Flex. -

Help Needed - New to Adobe LiveCycle

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle. I am working on Adobe LiveCycle Workbench ES2. I have created a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. Now I want to create a guide. During the wizard to create a new guide it asks for Data Model, Adobe documentation says that a guide can use XDP file as Data Model. But the wizard to create new guide does not show my XDP file and asks only for .fml file.
How do I create guide using my existing form(xdp) and/or xsd.
RegardsThe ability to use an XDP as a data model was added in the SP1 release. Make sure that you have SP1 loaded and you will be able to use an XDP.
