I am new to scripting & I need Script for Document color mode

Please help me to create a script which should find the Document color mode. I am new to scripting. And please let me know how to use the same.

Are you using the Extendscript Toolkit Editor (ESTK)? In the Help menu you can find all the properties for Document that can be queried/changed.
(Personally, I don't use ESTK, because I really really hate it. But I don't want to miss the Help, so I made my own version. I have Illustrator CS4, and it's possible your version doesn't have this, but under Document I find:

The color space used for the document.

Completely new to Soundtrack Pro - need help for school project

I've never used Soundtrack Pro before, but I need to record and modify some dialogue for a project for one of my classes, and I think that's the only audio program we have on the computers in the lab I'm using.
Can I use Soundtrack Pro to record myself reading lines of dialogue? And then modify the audio tracks? I don't want the characters in my project to sound like me, I want them more high-pitched and cartoonish, like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, yeah you can select your audio and using the *Process menu* choose eitherr the +Pitch>Pitch Shifter II+ or the +Mac OS > Pitch+ plug in to shift the pitch. I think Pitch may be better for what you want.
You can also look under the *Process menu* and find +Time Stretch+ which you can use to speed up your audio if desired.
Don't forget the Undo command -z

In the future, simply use a free service such as Google Voice or YouMail for the voicemail on your cellular device. You can access your voicemail via the web with these services without the need for an international phone call.
Edit: Unfortunately, this won't work for any voicemails you would have already received prior to setting up the service.

I need to add a new page in the SAP Script as last page.
Currently I have three pages in the form(FIRST,NEXT,LAST). For this I created one more page END.
FIRST page next page is NEXT
NEXT page next page is NEXT
LAST page next page is LAST
END page next page is END.
I used NEW-PAGE END in the main window but it is not working and also I trired with CONTROL_FORM this also not working.

Need script to place multiple single page pdfs in ID pages

Does anyone know of a script that would place a whole folder full of single page pdf files into an indesign document one per page, alphabetically by pdf file name, and ideally add new pages as needed. The last part is optional, as the ID document could already have the required number of pages, all using the same master page with the the picture frame already in place.
In my current project, the pdfs are all the same size as the ID document page size.
This would be along the lines of the scripts that place multipage pdfs, but for single page ones. I have tried first creating a multipage pdf by inserting a folder full of single page pdfs at the end of an initial pdf. Acrobat 8 pro does this very well indeed, but selects the pages from the source folder in random order. I need them in alphabetical order.

For this project I could equally well use a script that would place or re link to a new pdf in a single page ID document, print device independent postscript with some sort of unique or sequential filename, and repeat the process for a whole folder of source pdf files. No new pages need to be added, and the new pdf could replace the prior one.
What I am after is a device independent ps file for these pdf files. The ones produced by batch processing from Acrobat 8 Pro do not offer enough control, as in that method I would need *only* the black separation.

<b>Second criteria</b> is i have to send the mail to the particular customer with only their details, the process should continue until it sends to all the customers with their details for that particular date.
Please help me out.

Syslinux Installer / Update Script - Testers Needed

Over the last few weeks I have been working on Syslinux support for the installer. With the help Thomas and Dieter I am nearing the completion of this project. As part of this project, I have written a script that will help install and update Syslinux (similar to that of grub-install).
Some key features of the script: syslinux-install_update.sh
* Install Syslinux to the FS + Partition Boot Loader (extlinux --install /boot/syslinux)
* Install Syslinux MBR
* Detect and optionally set the boot flag on the boot partition
* Update Syslinux – copy files and execute (extilnux --update /boot/syslinux)
* Support for GPT disks
* Support for RAID configurations
The goal is to include this script in the official Syslinux package. Therefore we need your help to test it.
syslinux-install_update.sh -i -a -m ..... install Syslinux, set the boot flag (if needed), and install the MBR
We need tests for the following setups:
/ + /boot on the *same* partition
/ + /boot on the *same* partition - RAID
/boot + root on *separate* partition
/boot + root on *separate* partition - RAID
All of the above using but using the GPT partition layout
NOTE: This is an alpha/beta stage script. The script modifies the first 440 bytes of the disk (using dd) and the partition table (using either sfdisk or sgdisk). Although the script should be safe to run, I am not responsible for any data loss that may occur.
Let us know the following:
* Did the script work for you?
* What was your partition setup? (see above)
* What version did you use?
* If the script did not work, please provide as much information as possible

In regards to bootloaders in core

Grub2 is currently in extra. Upstream development is still in flux. Imho its quite heavy and complex. An alternative successor would be extlinux from the syslinux package. Sure, it only supports booting from ext* and btrfs afaik but to be honest, if you use any other FS you should have a separate /boot even when using grub.

* The devs are willing to help you out (they have helped me understand the Syslinux boot process and write this script)
* It is modular in nature and the Hardware Detection Tool (HDT) com32 module is cool
* Configuration is simple
* KISS (IMHO)

Disadvantages:
* Can't boot from LVM volumes
* only ext2/3/4, btrfs, vfat file systems supported

Does anyone know how to create a TCL script on Nexus7000 switch for following scenario ? Need urgent help here.. :-
Here is what I am trying to do :-
1. Whenever following log on "show log log" prints out :-

And look for following line :-

and this error can occur multiple times for different LCs too.

Hi Guys,
I need to know, can we get the script of the audio played in fla using as3, while the audio is playing we should able to get the audio script and display it for user simultaneously.For example, a happy birthday song is loaded in flash, i should able to get the script of what is played and display it to user. there is some sound.extract for converting to waves format and display,some speech to voice API of google in flex format...do flash with help of as3 can we achieve it.. Need script to insert pages with specified master

Several years ago, someone here (I think Dave, maybe Ole) helped me out by giving me a short script that when run added a blank page (with a specified master page different from the previous page) after each page of a document.
I've had an emergency reformat of my system and have lost that script which I need constantly for work projects. I tried searching here, but it was before the current forum setup (I think around 2 years ago) and I can't find a way to get to the archives.
If anyone can either provide me with the java script code for this or point me to the old messages about it, I'd be very appreciative.
And, BTW, I am now using CS4 (though I'm sure the script I've been using was from an older version).

Aaahhh ... PageMaker scripting. Now there was a challenge -- I don't think I ever could write the thing I intended with that.
This quick javascript works on CS, but I don't think the syntax has changed (much) for CS4. Yell if it doesn't work.
Be sure to fill in the right 'blank page' name in the first line! That includes the prefix and the hyphen -- the script will alert you if you got it wrong

Copy, paste into a plain text editor (InDesign's ESTK is good) and save as "insertBlanksAfterAll.jsx" in your Scripts folder. When saved in the right folder, it will automatically become available in the Scripts Panel.

Hello, I need a script or a program that can count how many lines are there in a directory contains source code as well as other directories(contain code as well), there are .java files in these directories, the script or program should count number of lines with/without comments(starts with // or surrounded by /**/)

I wrote a quick python program to count the lines in a file, you could just adapt it to your needs, or use the second program I have in this post that condenses all the .java files in a directory into a single text file, which you can then use a line-count on (useful if you need to print it as well - I wrote it for my IB dossier java project), if you'd like a proper script for your needs, otherwise check the other suggestions.
Run it by copying the code into a text file and saying it as script.py (change script to whatever you want) and running it with python /path/to/script.py

Need script to automate creation of AD sites,subnets and site links

Hello,
I have a requirement to create hundreds of sites and thousands of subnets in AD and also site links. I have an excel file with the details.
Can somebody help me with a vbscript/powershell script to automate this and create all the AD sites, subnets and site links
