Why won't it let me add any songs? It's not full.

On your iPhone, tap Settings > ITunes & App Store
Switch Music ON.
If that doesn't help, check restrictions. Settings > General > Restrictions

This has always been the case.
All iphones have always only synced to one computer at a time.
Syncing to another will indeed erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one.

The iPod's firmware is corrupt. You'll need to restore it again in iTunes. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode for iTunes to recognize the device. Use the instructions in this Apple support document to walk you through the process of placing the iPod Touch into recovery mode.

Hi, I am just starting to use my Macbook Pro to store my CD collection. I know how to copy CDs into the Macbook Pro but I do not know how I get those same songs from the Macbook Pro to my iPhone4. I thought it would happen automatically after I connect my iPhone4 to my Macbook Pro but it does not do it. So can someone please teach me, thank you! By the way I know about 'Match' which will achieve the outcome I want BUT I thought it was possible to transfer songs without going through 'Match'. Thanks!

You need to start with iTunes (that's where your CDs were imported to, right?)
With the iPhone connected, open iTunes, go to the iPhone tab/button, and navigate across to the "Music" tab. You can choose to sync all your music, or just some, based on artist/album, etc. Once you've made a selection, click Sync.

I am going to buy the new macbook air. I have an imac and was wondering if I can install the lion onto my imac from the macbook air?

In my opinion is not fair that they charge 30$ for the multiple license in the App Store, but if you pay 1299$ for the Macbook Air with Lion (you are paying those 30$ included in the price of the MacbookAir), you cannot enjoy the extra licenses. And I'll remind you that they charge me 2150$ for the high end iMac 27".
That's because is not fair don't allow me to install on my other iMac, when I paid for it, when all the people that buy on the App Store, they can.

No longer able to add songs from computer

On Friday I was able to successfully import songs from another location on my computer. Yesterday I went to import some more - after updating iTunes to the latest version. NO go - nothing happened. I've tried using the add folder option, the add file option and just dropping the file on my iTunes window. Nothing works. I completely uninstalled iTunes - to the point that I now have to rebuild all my playlists etc - and installed an older version. And still I am unable to add any songs. I had to burn them to a CD and then import that.
I am running Windows XP pro SP3 on a pentium 4 with 2GB of RAM and like I said...until I updated it was working fine.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so have you found a resolution to it?

I noticed this week while running iTunes 9.2 on Windows 7 that I was missing a significant portion of my MP3 music from the library, music that I originally ripped and imported way back with iTunes 4.6. Somewhere my music got dumped from the iTunes library. Dragging the files/folders does nothing (iTunes does not add the music nor give any notification that it could not). Adding the music through menus has the same problem. The MP3 files play fine through Quicktime and Windows Media Player.
I found that if I removed ALL the ID3 tags with a 3rd-party application iTunes could then add the file.
How do I fix this?

I am using iphone 5 (iOS 7.0.4), iTunes is version 11.1 and my PC is windows 8. Previously i was able to just select the songs i want to transfer, then click and drag those songs to my phone on the right of my iTunes window. It will get transferred. But for the past 1 week that is not happening. While clicking and dragging the songs i can see iphone on the right side of the iTunes window but it doesnt get transferred. This is the same issue happening with my other phone (iphone 5s). For now, i have to select iphone, then go to the tab "on this iphone", then select "autofill" option for those just added songs to get transferred.

After updating my iPhone 3gs, I am not able to sync photos using itunes. What could be the possible reason? It is not sync-ing Apps which i have purchased from App Store. Basically facing problem in synchronizing my iphone & macbook using iTunes.

You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
You have to upgrade to 10.6.8 to be able to download iTunes 10.7. The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.
