I get the message 'itunes store is not available because you aren't connected to the internet'. I can access other sites. i have itunes 10.5.2.11 on windows vista

I have the same problem on XP sp3. This is since the appearance of TuneUp. Again a so-called "useful" application.
Apple Programmers, please K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple and Stupid. I do not want to be suggest to do something, I don't want to be warned of this of that, Geniused or pinged... In the past, Itunes loaded on my pc in less than 10 seconds and it worked. Now, It blocks my computer and I can not buy music anymore !!!!! Apple programmers, you are working against your business !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a LITE version !!!!

Try this:
1. Settings>General>Date & Time>Turn off set automatically
2. Set date one year ahead
3. Go back to iTunes and try again.
4. You will get the same error.
5. Go back to settings general date and time and turn back on 'set automatically'
Try connecting to iTune Store again.

I have a new Hewlett Packard laptop which runs on Vista. I can load itunes but when I try to access itunes store from itunes I get the following error message:
itunes cannot connect to the itunes store, make sure your network connection is active and try again. There are no problems with my network connection, can any one advise?

Im using windows7 and I cannot access itunes store from itunes. I have uninstalled and re-installed, re-started hp computer. Any ideas???

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I am using itunes 10.6.3 on My windows 7 SP1 machine
I am not able to connect to Appstore on it. I m providing the right user name and password to it as I am able to connect to this community for posting this question. It always shows the dialoug "Accessing itunes store" for infinite time but nothing happens.
I have checked there is no firewall blocking it on my laptop or wireless router.
Please guide me .

Not able to connect to J2EE server from netweaver studio

My J2EE Engine is running on 132.132.70.18 ip and port 3901.
But when I specify the above details in J2EE Engine settings in preferences, I am not able to connect to it. Further, when I had connected for the first time it had worked ok and connection could be established but when I closed the application and started after few days it has stopped working giving error;
"Check your settings under Preferences - > J2EE Engine "

Not able to connect to Oracle EBS from host Windows 7

Hi, I have installed oracle EBS version 12.1.1 (32 bit) on OEL ver 6.3 (32 bit). I have installed Linux on Oracle VM virtualbox ver 4.1.16.
I am having host OS as Windows 7 home on my laptop.
While setting up the Network in Oracle VM virtualbox, I have set "attached to" as 'Host Only Adapter'.
I am able to connect to oracle EBS from the client server(linux) using Firefox browser. Both the services(database, Application) are starting & stopping without any problem.
I have entered following setting in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
192.168.56.101 linux.server
IP address of Linux OS is 192.168.56.101
Please help in resolving the issue.

I am getting error as "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" on IE ver 9, when accessing from host machine. On Firefox (ver 12), the error is coming as "The connection has timed out. The server at linux.server is taking too long to respond."
The firewall on the server has been disabled already.
I am not able to ping the server IP address or hostname.domainname from client. Following error comes while pinging -

Not able to connect to My SQL from CIM in ATG 10.2

I have installed ATG10.2 and trying to configure MySQL database with cim. I have given all the details as per the documentation. After creating the database connection for production_core, i have tried to test the connection but it says that

There can be multiple reasons:
mysqld.exe is not running(Start ATG\ATG10.2\MySQL\win32\bin\mysqld.exe)
It's the MySQL Daemon, the program that manages MySQL.This should be running if u wish to connect to mysql db.
While CIM database configuration, wrong connector jar(\ATG\ATG10.2\MySQL\mysql-connector-java-5.1.15-bin.jar) is given, So CIM is not able to connect.
Db details are wrong CIM

I have had an issue trying to access the itunes store through my itunes for the past several weeks. I've been trying to upgraade my ipod touch to IOS 5. However, i can't because i can't access the itunes store. I currently have iTunes 10.5. There is nothing wrong with my internet. I can get on any website. I'm using my computer to write this now. My administrative side can access the itunes store through itunes, but my normal account on my computer wont? I have windows Vista. My itunes is authorized for this side of the computer. Ok, I haven't logged into the iTunes store before, but I have an account set up.
When I try and access the store, it says it cannot connect and to check the network connection.
My internet connection is fine, and there is nothing wrong with my password/account as I have logged into iTunes on another Mac using the same password and user name.
I have downloaded the most recent iTunes (8.0.2) and it still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

I too have been unable to unable to log in to the iTunes store for a couple weeks. It started while I was still using iTunes 8.0.1(12) under OS X 10.5.5 PPC, but the situation remains unchanged now that I've upgraded to 8.0.2(20). Downloading free stuff (like podcasts) works great, but I cannot log into my iTunes account or download the material I have paid for but not yet received (specifically, passes for TV shows).
I don't use a PAC file to configure the proxy, but my proxy does require authentication. I've tried both using keychain and ... uhh ... not. There's something going on in iTunes' proxy mechanism that's got a subtle problem, and it's clear that using a variety of proxy configurations is not in iTunes QA test plan.
Like Gaffer1 and firespinner I have had no luck communicating with Apple support about this. My next step is to ask for a refund for the materials I've paid for but can't download; hopefully it will cause an escalation of the problem. I've seen Apple have very good turnaround time for bugs like these... once they get brought to The Right People's attention, but The Right People are well hidden.

I am trying to access from my work PC through RDP to connect my Macebook Pro at home.
I also setup the port on my router as 5590(TCP), 3283(TCP/UDP), 5988(TCP) on my verizon router. And I added my IP address to it but still not able to login to my Mac.
Any suggestions..?

Perhaps it's a typo but 5590 is not the right port. It should be 5900.
Port 5988 is not a port ARD really needs anymore but if you want to open it go for it as it's your router and you can do what you like!
I think you're going to have to speak to someone (your workplace's IT department is favourite) at work as more than likely you're being blocked by your company's firewall. Most company's of my experience will do this for VNC and VPN connectivity as a matter of course and the only time this kind of traffic is allowed is if it's been approved first.
Did you try to get approval before trying?

I am trying to loggin through BI publisher( more products- BI publisher) and i am getting an error of Reporting Login(404) not found.
I started the OC4J server aslo. I dont have explicity a BI publisher server.
is there any simple steps to install ( since I have already installed the OBIEE 10.1.3.2) the Oracle BI publisher.
I am not able to work on Labs of BI publisher due to above issues
