My iTunes could not find either my iPhone or my iPad even though it was found by my laptop running on Windows 8.1. Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -

I recently re installed Windows 7 and attempted to install itunes. I receive the message,"Thank you for installing itunes but itunes failed to install. Can you help?
This happens to me on several Windows PCs. Some running Win7. Some running WinXP.
I found that by using Safari, I could successfully download iTunes. Didn't work on any other browser I tried - only Safari.
Been that way for the past three iTunes updates. Annoying but I can work around it rather easily.

Cannot install itunes 11.1.3 to my windows vista home premium 32-bit. After it finishes the download that it verifies the file I get a message saying "this file cannot be downloaded". What could the problem be??? I uninstalled my itunes and tried again and keep getting the same message. Please help !

This is a mean one. I don't have time to try and find the cause, but at least some answers to your questions, to hopefully shed some more light on this.
Where was the original destination? iCloud folder.
On another drive? Tried to Save as... to Hard Drive (also changing name of file), always get the same non-descript short Error "Couldn't auto-save document." (slides down from top with a yellow warning triangle). Status to the right of document name is "Not Saved".
Another Server? No access at this time.
I also tried File, Revert to, Browse all versions, to check what I'd be losing. Saw I wasn't losing much and selected the last version and pressed Restore - same error. In the end I just quit Pages and re-opened. The document opened with the last few edits missing (but with the status "Edited" next to the name). I re-edited and could save. Good old habit of saving often. -

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

I saved docs from a iMac to a flashdrive but when I plug the flashdrive into an iBookG4 and try to open the docs on the flashdrive, I get this message: Doc 2 cannot be opened. The required index.xml file is missing. Does this mean that I can't use the info on the flashdrive with the iBookG4 or can I do something to get the required index.xml file?

jtIt appears if you write the document with newer version Pages and try to open it older version Pages.

After upgrading to Maverick, when I double click on the attachment I get this message "...could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder. Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location." It happens for all types of files.
Any suggestions as how to fix this?

Whenever I try to open an Adobe file I get this message:

I cannot get itunes to download. I have a PC with windows 7. I had itunes but got a message that told me to uninstall and reinstall intunes. I uninstalled but now can't reinstall. How can I get itunes to install again? I click on the download itunes button and it immediatly takes me to the page that says thank you for installing itunes. But it doesn't install. Can't play rented movies. They appear to download OK and the timer accurately reports days remaining to watch. But whenever I try to play the movie I get this message, "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later.". Have been using the Apple TV for 2 weeks and everything else seems to work OK. The Apple TV reports its SW is up to date. I've tried this with two movies rented frim iTunes directly from the Apple TV.
If after you download the movie, you navigate away and do something else with your Apple TV the content you have downloaded will be overwritten and you'll need to download it again. It's a pain in the neck for many who have slow downloads but it's something that comes with using volatile memory rather than a hard drive for storage.
Perhaps you're not doing this, but I thought it worth mentioning.
