please help me how to get out of the connect to i tunes screen which came after trying to update software of ipad 3 through software update in the ipad i t is not coming out of the connect to itunes scree neither being able to switch it off
Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

I recieved an iPad mini as gift this past spring (2013). I tried to upate my iPad to the new iOS 7.0.4 software. It seemed work fine, but when it reboted it got stuck on the connect to itunes screen. I've connected my iPad to itunes and it does not recognize it. When I connected my iPhone 5s to itunes it recognized it immediately. Will apple replace my ipad if the connect to itunes screen doesn't go away?
The iPad doesn't need to be replaced.
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

I have a 4th generation iPod. My system is Windows 7, 64-bit. iPod not recognized in iTunes. It is in my computer. Also getting iTunes error message about cd/dvd drivers not properly installed. I've restalled 5 times and still not working. Finally got iPod software to properly install. Please help!

yesterday i tryed to sownload the new software OS5 for my iPhone and after waiting the proccess to end, suddenly a message appeares saying the iphone wont restore!
after that the iphone stop working at all and not showing the home screen to me !
just it works by showiin the apple logo then a loading process that works for ever till the barrerry ends.
so please help meand can i fix it here or i have to go to a maintinace shop
thank youConnect the charger and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before you try to turn it on. Then let it charge untill full. The iPhone (or iPad) need at least a little charge before you can turn it on.

TS1368 Can not connect to iTunes to purchase apps or update with iPad
This is also the case with my iphone4s. I can not connect to iTunes at all! There's no specific error number just can not connect to iTunes. Then contact iTunes support. I have tried a few different things: clearing paused downloads in purchased area of app store (ipad2) and resetting wifi settings (ipad2) i also reset my wifi and that did no good either. Would be nice if someone knew what i needed to do to get rid of this issue I've been down for 3 days as I really can not do anything with either of my products. Thank you
I tried that, i tried every setting i could think of and tried all the ideas posted on this site. i got it working eventually though i had to wait for ios 6 to be released then after i downloaded and installed it, it started working.

My IPhone doesn't turn on and keeps in the "plug-into-Tunes-screen" after update to new IOs 5.0 yesterday. I also tried to restore it, but it still keeps in the plugin mode. In ITunes the IPhone doesn't show up as a device anymore, but Windows 7 detects it as a camera. I started the problem diagnose via ITunes and it says "iPhone can't be found".I'm using the new version of iTunes.

I accidentally started the newest update before backing up to iCloud. Now I have the connect to iTunes screen and can't get around restoring to factory settings. Is there anything I can do to bypass this step? Or undo upgrade?

AS you have tagged this post with iOS 6.1.3 and iMessages it is difficult to tell whether you want the answer for iPhone or iPad.
iMessages can do groups or multi-person Conversations as long as you enter the names in the "To" field before your start typing the message.

If you mean in the Messages app an AIM Buddy list can do Groups chats.
Jabber Buddy lists vary according to the set up of the server involved.
You don't have to turn Off the iMessages ability.
You either start from a Buddy List or select Buddies in the Blue + icon drop down.

i have been having an issue with updating my ipod touch for some time now and i can not seem to get it to update to the lastest update. it is stuck on 4.2.1 software and i can not update it to 4.3 or any other ios software update. can you please help me to solve this issue.
It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.
