I am using SAP R/3 4.7 ext 2.00 and have Basis patch level 52 (minimumly), I am able to use SAP Front end printing.
You can use Access Method : G : Frontend print with control technologie
and also Host Printer : __DEFAULT

Buttons not showing up for Writeback option in OBIEE 11g

Hey guys,
I'm struggling with the writeback option in OBIEE 11g.
I've made all the required changes as per the documentation.
1) Making the column writeable in BMM layer.
2) Giving the column and the table read/write permission in the presentation layer.
3) writing the query in the xml for insert and update and have put it in the right path.
4) Modified the instance config and included the <Lightwriteback>true</Lightwriteback> in it.
5) Enable the column with writeback property.
6)Enabled the table view property with writeback.
However when i untick the table toggle mode,it makes the column editable but without any update button.
whereas if i tick the table toggle mode it neither makes the column editable nor does it shows up any button.
Could somebody help me out with the solution.

You need to make sure that 'Write Back to Database' privilages have been correctly setup for you. If you have admin rights on the catalog, you should be able to check and modify it under Security > Manage Privilages on the Administration screen.

Laptop (Running Windows 8.1) no longer able to print and now see message Active Directory Domain Services is not available

Have a very recent Lenovo Ideapad Laptop running Windows 8.1. Connected via USB port to HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 frw Color MFP Printer. Was able to print fine nearly 2 weeks ago, but something recently happened - either a new windows or office 2013 update
or perhaps I blew away a certain file by mistake. I can see the printer installed but cannot print to it from anything (Word, Notepad, IE, Firefox etc.). The one thing to note is that usually when I plug or unplug a USB related device, Windows 8.1 recognizes
this and makes a certain chime noise, but with the printer USB cable it never makes that noise - making me think that it never fully recognizes the printer. Also when I select the printer (from within the control panel) and right click for properties (via
admin rights) It never lets me fully connect to it.
I have tried all the usual remedies - remove, install all drivers, reinstall printer, Windows update, start/stop print spooler and all other printer related services, etc. Its really annoying because this printer was working fine nearly 2
weeks ago. Looking for any advice now. Thanks.

I noticed that you had reinstalled the printer. Just a confirmation, when un-install this printer, please check
if this printer still exist in registry. For more details, please refer to following KB.
Registry entries for printing
If printer entry still exist in registry, please delete that printer entry and re-install this printer again,
then check if this issue still exists. (Please backup registry entries before operating registry. It will help us to avoid unexpected issue.)

Not able to print PDF report from Oracle APPS

adcmctl.sh version 115.17.
We have a network printer HP Laserjet 4250 which is configured on our concurrent manager server of RH Linux OS. We are using HP LASERJET 4250 Postscript driver. We are able to print PDF's directly however through CC manager we are not able to print reports in Proper PDF format. Has anyone faced such an issue with Oracle Apps?

Hi Ram, Can you give me some more details around your issue? How exactly are you building the viewer? Are you using the JSP Page Wizard that comes with Crystal Reports for Eclipse? If so, then can you tell me what application server you are deploying to? All of these pieces may help narrow down the issue. It only prints 1 page then my Brother MFC-J4510DW Printer says "Please put another piece of paper in the feed slot"....the problem is the print setting is set to "manual mode" in Windows 7 rather than "general setting". If you try to change the setting to "general", it will not accept the change.

I did try using the printParams feature and it worked, but since I need to be able to print sets of non-consecutive pages, I end up having to bring up the print dialogue multiple times and have the user set watermarks each time.
I decided to just create a new pdf in a temp directory containing the selected pages and open this document in a new window. This works well and allows them to use the print button on the window to print, bringing up the print dialogue just once. However, since I need to open the document in a way that shows the print button, I am using OpenInWindowEx, with AV_DOC_VIEW, and the option PDUseBookmarks or PDUseThumbs, rather than PDUseNone. This displays a toolbar which also includes icons for creating a new pdf, deleting pages, etc. I do not really want to include these icons on the toolbar. Is there a way to remove unwanted icons from the toolbar, or make them invisible?

NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT IN IE10

I have windows 7 x64 bit OS and 16GB ram. I used Ie8 before and it printed without any issues on either printer. If I upgrade to IE9, I get an error when trying to print - "An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line : 2053

Yet when going from IE8 to IE10, I can not print on either printer of HP Laserrjet1015 and HP 8600 pro. I have the latest drivers for both printers. Just tried to print using xps and it worked fine and no issues. but still not printing a hard copy to printer on Hp LaserJet 1015 and HP Pro 8600.
I have contacted Mircrosoft tech support and they indicated that HP needs to come out with compatible IE9 and IE10 drivers to work to allow printing. I told Microsoft that the printer worked fine in IE8, why is it not working in IE9 and IE10. They told me to contact Hp Support which I am doing - Microsoft told me "It's HP's responsibility, not Microsoft's, to release IE10-compatible software. Very generally speaking, HP contacts Microsoft when they release updated software then Microsoft can offer it as Optional updates. [Neither you nor I can hurry things along.]"
I need to be able to print from IE 10 using at least HP Pro 8600 printer if the Laserjet 1015 will not work since its an older printer.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello RussellTA. I udnerstand you're unable to print from IE 9 and IE 10.
Those errors seem to be referring to some Java or Javascript files (those with the extension of *.JS). So a good place to begin would be to update Java.

I have the exact same issue. I can print one document and then I get the error mentionned above ("adobe creation cannot continue because acrobat is not activated"). Then I need to reboot in order to be able to print a new document.
I have suite and went to Photoshop as suggested, but this program is already activated. I tried to launch Acrobat Pro but it won't.

Not able to print chart from second page onwards..

I'm trying to print chart in xml publisher report. Requirement is to print chart for each employee one next page. I'm able to print chart using preview, but not in concurrent program output. Rest of the details are printed without any issue.
Can some please help on how to print chart repeatedly in single report.

I'm not near my Epson right now, so I don't have the exact details. But I suggest you try this:
Use Epson iPrint. Click on the WorkForce 520 printer, then choose "Advanced Options" down near the bottom.
As I recall, one of the options has to do with setting up the printer to work with iPrint (or maybe verifying it's been set up correctly).
See if that helps.
By the way, there is also a "Firmware Update" there in those Advanced Options. You should definitely do that as well.

Not able to print reader file

When I convert MS Word files to Adobe Reader files, some people are not able to print them. Some of the content prints for instance, but some is missing. The graphics may print, but the text is missing.

Here is a file I converted from Word to a PDF that will only print the graphics.
I am using Word 2007 and Adobe Reader 9 Pro. I have the CS4 suite. When I save, I am using the following parameters:
Convert Document Information
Enable Accessibility and Reflow with tagged Adobe PDF
Create Bookmarks
Convert Word Headings to Bookmarks
I should add that changing and eliminating these parameters make no difference.

Single user is not able to print PDF files.

I have the following situation at our organisation for one of our users.
Printer:
Kyocera FS1030D
Kyocera KM-C3225
I have one user that is not able to print any PDF files in our network. (User Chris)
Printing a Word document or Notepad works fine.
To be specific:
The user is mainly using Windows 7 Pro 64 bits.
We also have a Citrix environment.
When this user is trying to print a PDF file we follow the following steps:
Open any PDF file.
Go to: File -> Print -> Select the printer to use.
Hit Print button.
Now the pop up comes up loading the PDF file to be printed. (The percentage bar)
After this bar disappears nothing happens.
The print que does not show on the bottom right hand of the screen.
If you open the printer que there is no document that needs to be printed.
We tested printing a PDF file on a different computer with user account Chris, but no success.
We tested printing a PDF file on the same computer with another user account, success.
We tested printing a PDF file in our Citrix environment (still on Chris his pc), success.
So as a wrap up: Printing with another user account works fine. The issue seems to be located in the user profile, but is not specific to a single computer.
We tested the following.
Print as Image setting.
Remove the print drivers and reinstalled them.
Renamed the Windows folders where the drivers are installed.
Removed Adobe Acrobat version 9 and installed version 10.
Any suggestions are welcome.
