I am not able to sync ipad 2 with itunes 11.4 as it not recognizes the device

When I connect the device ipad 2 with the mac air, itunes ver 11.4, I get the error message that the iphone is not connected anymore and it blocks the itunes there.
Can anyone help?

I have a new iPad Air but I am not able to sync any non-iTunes purchased movies between my Mac and the iPad. My old iPad still syncs correctly.

I have tried all the advice from the forums such as editing the info in iTunes, adding playlist, changing the info categories, ensuring there is adequate iCloud backup space, but to no avail. I suspect the issue is with an iPad setting or with iCloud as this is only a problem for the new iPad and not the old one but cannot see where anything differs from the old iPad settings. Any dieas welcome.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? The 'cehck for available downloads' checks if there is anything in the store that you haven't yet downloaded, it won't copy anything from the iPad. Have you tried doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases ?

If you lost all your apps on both the iPad and the computer, you can download the apps again at no cost. You can search your emails for app store purchases if you can't remember all the apps that you have downloaded.

try doping a hard reset. hold the lock and home button together for 10 secs or till the time apple logo appears. once logo appears release the keys and wait for phone to boot ... good luck

Here are some suggestions:
1) Check the manual the Keithley manual to see how to configure the RS-232.
    On some models you need set Factory defaults to USER and turn on the RS-232.
    Also there may be a setting for SCPI which you want on (probably on by default).
2) On your PC - open Device Manager. See if a COM port exists and is functional.
     You must get this working before continuing.
      You can set the COM port parameters by right clicking and selecting Properties.
     (On some PCs the onboard ports can be disabled in the BIOS)
3) If step two was OK, open MAX (Measurement and Automation eXplorer).
    On the left side, click on Devices and Hardware.
    Click on Serial and Parallel.
    Go to the COM port you found in Device Manager.
    Open a VISA Test Panel.
    Now I don't have one I can look at right now, so this is general idea:
   Configure the COM port to match the Keithley settings (should be OK if step 2 worked)
   Go to the (I think) Input Output tab (you want to send a command)
   The command string input should already have a *IDN? entered, if not, type it in.
   Click on the Query button to send the command and check the response.
   If you get an ID string back (Company name, Model, FW Version ...) then it works.
   (Disregard an error saying it did not get enough charcters back.)

Problems with syncing Ipad with ITunes: apps won't appear on Ipad and organizing icons won't save

I have a new Ipad 4 for three weeks. Yesterday I start having some problems with syncing my Ipad with ITunes (earlier all was without troubles):
- downloaded in ITunes on PC apps won't transfer to my Ipad - I press Apply and sync, it goes successfully, but apps won't appear on Ipad.
- I tried organizing icons on Ipad from PC, press Apply and sync, it all goes succesfully, but on Ipad icons won't rearrange. But ITunes shows that they are rearranged...
- also I tried syncing my books adding one new book, press sync all books, and new book won't appear. Only when I've chosen every book separately, they transfered.
I use USB for this.
I tried resetting my Ipad, reinstalling ITunes on PC, deauthorizing and authorizing my computer, but it didn't help.
Apple ID are the same on PC and Ipad.
I hope that I'm not the only one with this problem. And also forgive my mistakes if there are any - English is not my native language. Thank you!

I know that it is time consuming and a bit of a pain in the butt to have to do it, but I would backup the iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore from the backup, and sync everything back to the device. It's going to take a while because you have a ton of music on the iPad, but IMO, that would be your best option now.
You could try unsyncing all of the music, and then resync it all again, but that takes time as well. If you are going to spend that much time trying to fix it, you may as well restore the device ...IMO once again.

Last week, i had to format my computer. this erased all data on C drive, include itune and itune library, with which my iPAD was synced.
Now i have reinstalled itune. But when i am trying to sync iPAD with it, everytime it says it will erase my existing data. I dont want to loose on the existing data as i have a lot of ebooks whom i have bookmarked and made notes in.
What's the way out so that i can syn my iPAD again with the itune library without loosing on the data?

My iPad has a passcode on it, but it got typed in too many times, and now it has been disabled. However, when I try to plug it into iTunes, it tells me it cannot recognize the device until you enter the passcode.

This probably has nothing to do with plugging into your friends computer, but unless you have a backup, everything on the iPad will be lost.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

You can download purchased content again from the various stores as long as you use the same Apple ID, as long as the content is available in the stores, and as long as the content is available where you live.
