I have IOS7 installed on my iPhone4. Suddenly I am having problems receiving some text messages but not all. I changed my User ID to no avail. My Settings appear to be fine. Can anyone help me please?

I have turned 'imessage off on my iphone 5.. Now im not getting some texts messages from people.
I have had it turn off all the time as i run a group text app. I did the current 'software update' and it turned imessage back on. I didnt realise for a few days. I have now turned it off. BUT now im not receiving some peoples texts??? any ideas what to do??

Those messages are probably queued up waiting to be delivered
Try turning iMessage on for a brief period and see what happens
If you permanently want to not use iMessage you should consider de registering your number

can't get any txt messages ? imessages or sms txt messages ? verify in settings on phone. messages tab. that you have iMessage on. send as SMS on. and also MMS messaging on. are on them on.
if they are all on. reset network settings for phone. go to settings. general. at bottom reset. reset network settings. and try again.
if that doesn't work. backup your phone. wipe it to factory. don't restore your data yet. test it then. if it works. then restore your data and test. if it doesn't. you have a issue with the phone or the account allowing messages.

There's a small vocabulary issue here.
"Reset" means a specific action, which does not involve iTunes at all. You reset your iPhone by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. You could try that - it's risk free - but probably would not work.
"Restore" (not reset) is something you do using iTunes. Plug your iPhone into iTunes on your computer (current version: 11.1.3). Let it sync. Then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary tab in iTunes.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
That's because she is using your Apple ID on her iPhone. To stop that, on her iPhone, open Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, and untick your mail addresses and phone number, so she won't receive your messages anymore

Most likely your carrier has not enabled texting on your phone.

TS1567 I cannot upgrade my ipad as advised at the apple store by doing it via itunes. I keep getting told Mobile Device Service not there... It is on Automatic. Have reinstalled Itunes and AMDS.... Help please.

I have been to the Apple Store and been advised to upgrade my ipad2 with all since my purchase last year I need to go to Itunes on my computer, go to check, and click and all should upgrade. Not so easy, have had no success. Have reinstalled itunes, restarted my ipad and tried again.

Why don't you take a different approach like take it off of automatic and restart it on your own and then see if you can update the iPad?
