Anyone Own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1?

I was thinking of picking one of these up. I noticed that it uses proprietary cabling but does hook up to an HD TV. In other words, you can see your Galaxy monitor on a big screen. One common complaint about camcorders is their small LED/LCD display. Wouldn't it bee cool if you could hook up a Tablet like the Galaxy to your camera to get a bigger picture of what you're about to videotape? The galaxy is a pretty clunky thing to carry around compared to a cell phone, but... one can make calls for free on the Galaxy as long as there is an available Internet connection.

Not looking good for the Samsung.
Just to fill time, until those Samsung users stop by, have to say that wife got the iPad (latest, but cannot recall the model), and loves it.
I, OTOH, am not so keen on the danged thing. Even with her add-on Blue-tooth almost QWERTY keyboard, I am just not comfortable with it, but then I am an "old timer," and more used to large, dual monitors, without any touch-screen functions.
On Web pages, I keep trying to touch the various dialog boxes, to activate them, only to find that my fingers are just too large, and probably too clumsy. Maybe I can learn - or maybe not.
Hope that those Samsung users come out of the closet, and help you.

Will PS Touch be supported on Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (Android 3.2, resolution 1024x600) and when I try to buy this application Google Play shows "This app is incompatible with your Samsung GT-P6210".
Is it because of the resolution? Will it ever be supported?

Best Buy Version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that Best Buy sells strictly a Wifi model or is it 4G capable? (obviously I understand that if it is capable it still requires a monthly fee with an actual provider to actually get the 3G/4G). But I am not interested in being limited with only a Wifi model.

I don't believe any 3G/4G models are available in the United States yet.
I haven't found wifi-only limiting as my phone supports Wifi Hotspot functionality.
If you do get a 10.1 from BBY, make sure that when it boots there is an image of an unlocked padlock. Some units are sold with locked bootloaders. (I consider this to be a major defect since unlocked devices are sold at the exact same price, and locked units are not marked as such. There is NO justification for a locked bootloader on a wifi-only device.)

I'm having the same issues you are having on my S3. I was on the phone with tech support (Verizon) last Friday for about an hour. I had to get a bit nasty with the tech when he attempted to blame Samsung for this (Samsung didn't release that update without Verizon's OK- and have you noticed Verizon has added their logo to the startup now?).
My data usage has gone up, battery draining much faster (and I have an extended battery!) and I had to re-load some of my widgets on the phone (including the My Verizon widget). The tech had me start the phone in Safe Mode (holding down the power, volume rocker and Home button at the same time until the Samsung logon screen shows then let go of the power button while continuing to hold the other two buttons until the phone logs on completely).
Whatever he did remotely seemed to make the phone act better yet he decided I need the update 'reflashed' to the phone. First he credited my account $30 to take care of any possible data overages. He then contacted my local Best Buy store to see if they could 'reflash' (upload the update again) the phone.
I went to Best Buy and had it done the next day. I think the phone was better before the 'reflash'! The tech gave me his personal Verizon cell number so I will be calling him back today.
An update for the update is coming yet the release date hasn't been confirmed. The tech said my account will be monitored for any overages in which I will received credits to cover it.

Yup... I suspect the Tab2 7.0 is going to be a hot item. Similar price point to the B&N Nook Tablet but utterly blows it away. (Unlocked bootloader, much less modified Android, GPS, cameras, unlocked bootloader.)
Poor B&N - The Tab2 7.0 is going to be brutal competition for the NookTab.
If I hadn't scored one of Amazon's $140 Kindle Fire refurbs (normally $170 for refurb) I'd have been tempted by the Tab2.
I'm going to wait for the Note 10.1 instead most likely, I'm fairly happy with my original Tab 10.1 and my hacktoy KFire.
KFire + Cyanogenmod 9 = awesome if you don't mind no GPS, camera, or MicroSD.

I believe the wifi only version will be available through Best Buy. I think it was delayed through. Maybe by late November or early December?

Unable to use FiOS Mobile Remote App on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

I'm one of the holdout Blackberry customers who Verizon doesn't recognize as wanting apps anymore. I finally broke down and bought an Android tablet device when I saw the FiOS Mobile Remote App and recognized it as an easy solution for controling my multiple HD STBs in my "Man Cave". Unfortunately, the app has been completely useless.
The app loads fine. I'm able to register each HD STB with the app, however doing anything more than the initial set-up for the remote function results in a crash. Every time I attempt to use it, I get the message "Unfortunately, FiOS Remote has stopped." I will occassionally see the attempted connection displayed on the corner of my TV screen.
All other functions of the app work, including the DVR function.
I've reported this failure for months, using the handy little report button below the crash message. No response.
I've commented on this topic in threads from other users with the same problem. No response.
I've posted to the comments section of the Google Play store. No response.
Please, would someone from Verizon acknowledge this problem exists? My best theory so far is that my tablet device is not on a Verizon data plan (WiFi only), so therefore Verizon isn't interested in supporting it (or this loyal customer).

I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Submitting all the feedback has gotten word back to Verizon about the troubles you are having. You can also submit this to the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. Your last post is confusing - and the technology is unforgiving. So let me
see if I can piece this together....
Starting with the Tab 7.7: some manufacturers have devices that they
improve upon and claim compatibility because they're 'just like' XUY that
they made last year. Sometimes this is true, but often, the user ends up
with claims and not much function. Samsung is pretty good about this, but
you can't assume that, just because you can connect the Tab to your
computer and move stuff back and forth, that the programs on your computer
are going to work with your Tab - and vice versa.
The OS on the tablet is NOT compatible with ADE, so you can't drag and drop
ebooks as you would with other ereaders. You have to use utility programs
to move the ebook to your Tab. Once you move the ebook to the tablet,
Aldiko should be the program that you use to read the ebook. In your
situation, all ADE is doing is retrieving the ebook from the source, and
storing it on your computer.
You mention "software/apps that are available for DRM". DRM is the copy
protection on an ebook. It's a software switch built into the ebook's ID
file and all that it does is to tell you whether or not you can copy or
print the ebook. ADE and Aldiko look at the switch when you open or try to
copy the ebook. And if the DRM settings are preventing Aldiko from opening
the ebook, you're stuck. Those settings come from the publisher,
distributor or author, not from either ADE or Aldiko. You can try to open
the ebook on your computer with ADE and see if you get the same results.
You mention error messages. I think, from the context, you're getting them
on the Tab when you try to do something with the ebook. Any messages
relating to time relate to the settings for your time, date and time zone.
I'm guessing here, but I think your Tab's settings aren't the same as your
computer's, and that's why you get the 'expired' message. The 'unknown
error' message may be from Aldiko - and we're not equipped here in the ADE
forum to deal with that one - sorry! If the error message section of the
Aldiko user guide doesn't tell you either, then you might be able to find
out what to do about it from an Aldiko forum.
Your Overdrive comment has me puzzled. I looked for some context in the
other posts in this stream, and I didn't see anything that helped.
Overdrive is a 'elibrary management system' that does much the same thing
as ADE does. So, you can import and export ebooks via Overdrive. Your
situation seems to revolve around how you get ebooks onto your Tab and then
get Aldiko to open them for you to read, and I don't know if Overdrive
supports the Tab either.

Having the same issue, called B&N, have spent many hours and still no resolution. As a work-around, I downloaded bluefire reader on my nook. Then I used dropbox to take the book that I borrowed from the library and open in bluefire reader on my nook and that worked (still cannot see it in my nook library, but at least I can read the book).

If you can put up with the hideous iTunes as your interface, and can live with the walled garden philosophy of Apple, then the iPad 2.
If you want a more open platform, with the aboitly to customize it to your liking, then Android.
I own both, and they both have merits and faults.
