I'am possibly having bad performance issues
I resently purchased an Hp dv6-3025dx. I didnt purchase this computer for gaming by no means but, kept the option in mind. Since the purchase i've put 2 games on it. one being neverwinter night 2 and team fortress 2 both of which are somewhat old games. I have noticed that i have to put both games on the lowest settings to play them without chopiness. I was wondering if this was an unusual thing. I dont really want to deal with hp's technical support if there isn't a problem as i know its just going to be a pain in the azz. Here are some specs.

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. Each time I've erased and done a clean install of Mountain Lion from a USB, then used migration assistant and time machine to bring files back. Is anyone else having Config error 16 issue when trying to start PSE 12 or Premier Elements 12 after the Mac upgrade to OS X Yosemite 10.10 on iMac. I have had a number of issues with software and things after upgrading to OS X Yosemite 10.10 and even 10.10.1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 a number of times and everything goes fine until its ready to launch and then you get an error message. Numerous uninstalled and reinstalls don't removing the problem. Strangely enough PSE 11 still appears to boot up and I never owned Premier Elements 11 so I don't know if it will start. I thought with Apple dropping its Apeture software and greater integration of iPhoto and Apeture files into Lightroom 5.7 all would be harmonious between these two players. Im not sure where Adobe wants us to go it recently removed the plugin to allow you to update files from LR to Adobe Revel, whats up with that. I now own two version of Adobe software that no longer work with my Mac and now way of uploading pictures from Lightroom to Revel. Needless to say I am pretty reluctant to sign on to a subscription of Creative Cloud with long term financial obligations when I can't even get my current Adobe software to work independently much less integrate with Lightroom. Frustrated with it all!
Get rid of 'put disks to sleep when possible' and you may see a dramatic improvement (not necessarily a cure).
That specific problem is a multiple-Processor (including graphics processor) problem, where one of the processors lost track of whether it should be responding to interrupts. You may have a Hardware problem. -
We have about 200 users that connect to three terminal servers. On the servers we have Office 2013 installed. Several users are stating that when they attempt to search for templates or insert Online Pictures, they are getting error messages of "Sorry,
we are having some temporary server issues. You can work off line if you plan to insert pictures from your computer"
Remember, they are connecting to a terminal server, all have roaming profiles, and for some users this works fine.
We've Googled the error message and found no help. A lot of responses was to reset the IE settings, which we've tried to no avail.
Also as a test, we took one of the users that was having the issue and deleted their profile. When they logged back on the server, the same problem occurred again.
We're currently at a loss as to why it works for some users and not others?

Having some trouble with my 15-inch Early 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.3
I was using the computer with no problems for nearly two years, then one day I was using chrome and suddenly, the computer crashed with a dark blue screen with horizontal lines across it.
From that point on, the graphics would get glitchy every once in a while for the next few days, commonly resulting in the blue screen crash. After a lot of searching around online, I learned that it might be a problem with the discrete graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6750M) so I downloaded gfxCardStatus and set it to "Integrated Only." It seemed to fix my problems and the computer ran fine for the rest of the day.
The next morning, when waking the computer up from sleep (I had closed the lid the night before) all I saw was an unresponsive black screen, and the fan started roaring. I rebooted and some of the graphical glitches were back. Once the computer booted, it crashed to the blue screen before I could set gfxCardStatus to integrated only (the program is set to open on startup, but doesn't remember my selection)
Since then, I have found that I can't restart my computer without it crashing, and I am lucky if I can boot it up. If the computer sleeps for a long period of time, it seems to crash as well.
Is there any way I can totally disable the damaged discrete graphics card, so that it doesn't interfere with my computer?

I'm having numbers and iCloud issues
Does anyone know how I can get numbers on my iPad and numbers on my iPhone to sync? I keep trying to turn on iCloud on my iPhone and it is on for about a minute then automatically shuts off. Any help would be appreciated
Are you having problems or performance issues?
I'd really not worry about what that utility states, if your computer is running well. OSX manages memory exceedingly well and it cleans up RAM whenever it needs too. Some times it doesn't release all the memory from a program because the library may be used again and it will be quicker to keep it there. Another potential issue is some applications including apple's have memory leaks. memory that isn't released but is "lost" this is caused by bugs in the software, safari for instance keeps grabbing ram but not releasing it. Closing the application typically resolves this problem.
I've not heard of the utility that you referenced and to be honest, I'd not really worry about. It is possible that the utility is not correctly reporting back memory consumption. Take a look at the activity monitor found in applications->utilities. It will give you a fairly good picture of the memory is being managed. -
I'm having a lot of issues with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It began when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of ad popups, I cannot play one game on FaceBook called Farm Town at all, and I keep getting an AVG popup about cookies that I cannot get rid of. These issues are causing me to use Chrome very often even though I like Fox better. I've searched and searched how to get help and cannot find anything. How does one get personal technical help?? Has anyone heard back from Apple on this bug ?Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -
I'm having thet same registry issues with my CD-/DVD as is talked about in one of the fix articles I've found here. I added the UpperFilter entry to the registry since it was not there and restarted. This fixes the warning message but then there's no CD/DVD device shown at all in windows. I can put it back to normal and vice versa and get the same results, but I can't get this issue fixed. When I get the registry warning on starting iTunes, I can still rip from CDs and my DVD burner works just fine using other programs.

That symptom suggests the afs.sys issue ... but there's some other things that might cause it too.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

I am having an installation failure issue with my itunes 11 software. File is corrupted and i don't know what to do. I've un-install and re-installed the software three times and continue to get the same error message. It states that "This copy of ITunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes"

If your old version of iTunes is still working - then I sugest you stick with that.
iTunes 11 is a lousy update - It will not retain your playlists, you can't find and delete duplicates... and a whole arry of oyher issues. (have a look around this forum to see how many issues IT11 gives people)

In theory .. this kind of practice should not be allowed .

there is no stock stored in any table for a given date. SAP would need to run the logic of MB5B to calculate the stock at a certain date, this would cause tremendous performance issues.
you either have to do this calculation yourself in a user exit, or you better train your users. -
Having mail 4.5 issues- open mail and get a new features message that says in order to use the new features, I must import existing messages into the new version first in order to use mail 4.5. Just recently put in MAC OSX 10.6.7. Once it imports I am to click done to start using mail, but end up with the rainbow wheel of death and it also says you cannot use mail until the import is finished? Now What?
Is Mail still "spinning"? If it's been doing that for a while, I'd kill it, using either Activity Monitor or the OS X application picker. Then relaunch Mail and see what happens.
Two "by the ways":
1) Your system details mention an PPC iMac. Since a non-Intel Mac can't run OS X 10.6, you seem to have another Mac. You might want to consider updating your system details.

I am having a file moving issue with Adobe Reader XI
I am having a file moving issue with Adobe Reader XI on a Windows 7 32bit system. When Adobe reader is set as the default program for PDF files moving files from one directory to another takes over a minute, regardless of the size of the file. When the default handler is set to another program, like Nuance or PDF Creator, this is instant. What in Adobe Reader is causing this and what can I do to speed up file moving? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don;t know what the @#$ is going on with this device, but for example:
user A creates a folder in their area(under a share with RW rights)
Everything is great..
They come in on day2, and all of a sudden, they get "Access denied" on the (excel) file
Typically, if I re-apply full rights for them using windows permissions, it "fixes" it.
Today, I went to modify a excel spreasheet that I've been using for a week or so, and boom, access denied
and effective permissions indicate that very thing: no rights.
I attempted to re-apply rights to my home directory, and on that particulat .xls, got a "Element not found" message.
I'm sad that I've had SO much trouble with this device.
I re-sycned with A/D just for kicks, no help.
It syncs with A/D daily
I've had so many of these related permissions issues, we're likel;y scrapping the Lenovo for a windows server, but I figured I'll see if anyone else is dealing with this message..
I'm also open to the fact that it could be our A/D I suppose..Sorry to reply to such an old topic, but I am having exactly the same issue. Did you ever find a fix? We are reapplying all the parent folder settings every morning to bandaid the situation, but it is becoming a little ridiculous...
We have our settings so that a file administrator has full access to everyone's files, and each individual has full access to their own folder. The folder settings never change, but the files seem to lose the user's access permission periodically after being opened or edited (haven't narrowed down the exact cause, but has never happened to files that haven't been accessed, but doesn't always happen to files that have been accessed). One odd thing that might have something to do with it, the ownership of files keeps defaulting to a generic 63353/UNIX instead of the creator of the file or the owner of the parent folder (which is set the way we want). We are currently experiementing with changing it, but it seems ike if we set the owner to the user, the file administrator randomly loses access, if we set to the file admin, the user randomly loses access. I think we might be can bandaid the situation from the user's perspective with this, but it doesn't seem to fix the initial issue, that the folder permissions won't stay set.
