I am ready to DROP Comcast over a 2 year dispute.

I just got off the phone for what has been at least 20 conversations concerning a returnedmodem 2 years ago.I dropped the box off at the local  location that is of course no longer in business.Had I known Comcast would keep bringing this up and charging me $10 every month, I would have placed the receipt in my safety deposit box.Here's the Bottom Line.. I returned the box, that was used with my ex husbands computer but continue to be charged.  They always give me a ticket number and tell me they understand but continue to charge me.Comcast did tell me today if I pay $90 they will write the obsolete box off and stop charging me. My calculations show I have paid over $200 since I returned this box. My contract runs out next Month, I will drop Comcast and go back with satellite service if Comcastdoes not do the right thing.  Now it is a matter of principal. Thank you,Cindy George

    History menu, if it was destroyed in the last session
    then use "Restore Previous session:" and then restore all windows also from the history menu.
    If done in this session try the restore all windows under the history menu.

    Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

    Hmm.... When in year view, the birthdays only show up through 2014 like I said. But if I go into any other view, they do show up as expected. So much for year at glance help.
    Maybe my calendar knows that at my age I'm not likely to be celebrating anybody's birthday beyond 2014! Yikes! Sure hope that's not the case.

    As being a novice with my Mac Pro computer and Cannon 5D mark 3 camera my issue has arisen while over the last year and half, when down loading into my Photoshop Lightroom 4, my 18,000  photograph were not catalogued correctly, or hardly at all, so now over several months time my photos have apparently been redirected in my libraries and have begun not appearing in their allotted frames next to their number in the library they are in. they also have a small question mark (?) next to the photo space. The frames are blank but indicates that there is a photo there. The majority of photos are blank but about a tenth are seen . i apparently need to retrace where they went but do not know how to get that done . can someone help please?

    It would be difficult to tell you where to begin. If you moved photos around to different folders and didn't use Lightroom to move them, that would cause Lightroom to lose track of where they are. You have to remember that your images are not "in" Lightroom. Lightroom simply points to them wherever they are on your computer. All of the location information as well as the changes that you make to your images is stored in the catalog, which is a database. This catalog is central to the operation of Lightroom, and it's essential that you understand how it works and how to make it work for you. For all of those images that have "?" On them, or the folders that have the same, you will have to go through the process of locating them and showing Lightroom where they are located. With 18,000 images, and many of them missing, it might just be easier to start a new catalog and organize things properly from the beginning in that catalog.

    My OS is Windows 8.1.  My system has 16 MB of RAM, and hard disks are not overfilled.
    I run update virus checker (Kaspersky) daily.

    Could you please tell what are the challenges you are facing while trying to access Acrobat ?
    Do you get any error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.

    OR
    Try repairing it from Control panel, or try launching it with a different user account and check if it works or not.

    Had same trouble.Called for service. Tech installed new cable from from comcast box to my house. Problem was fixed. Buried cable was less than 5 years old.

  • Comcast won't give me my refund after multiple calls over a 2 year period

    I am asking for any recommendations anyone here has.  I left comcast when I moved despite comcast being in my new location and being cheaper and faster than the alternative; I just couldn't deal with them anymore. Comcast was billing me for a modem rental despite me supplying my own modem and never renting one from them.  I called the first month they over charged me, then the next month, then a couple times the months after and then once the next year. I was always assured it would be changed and credited, yet it never happened.  I was not able to go to a customer building because my school kept me busy during their open hours and well school > comcast. When I closed my account they told me they could only do a 6 month credit but I could file a claim for the full amount of $195.  I gave them everything they wanted in the claim and never heard a response from them and when I called back they just told me the ticket was closed.  A lovely lady named Lisa gave me a number for comcast listens  (877 405 4783) tell me they would listen to my case and they can make desicions above anyone else I can talk to on the phone or in person.  However, this number is only for employees and they told me to call 1-800-COMCAST. I do not know what to do next, I want the money they owe me, but even more it's about morals and not letting comcast stomp on their customers.  I was told it is my legal responsibility to keep calling until it got resolved and since I did not continue to call every month that they do not legally owe me the full amount. What do I do next?

    Verizon required me to place a deposit on my account saying I'd get it back within 6 months of service. It's been over two years and I still haven't be given it back. I've called and can't get an honest response; I get transferred to different departments who say different things. I contacted the BBB about this and Verizon said that unless my payment history is crystal perfect including advance payments they don't have to return it. I found out this information after complaining to the BBB, if this was their policy they never told me about it. I'd switch to a different provider but I doubt I'd get my deposit back because Verizon is basically holding it hostage so I stay with them. I wouldn't doubt that the "positive" feedback you're getting is in fact Verizon moonlighting as actual customers who are giddy about Verizon.
    Verizon did to a family member when we switched to "friends and family" what they are doing to you. Verizon overdrew over $500 bucks from the initial payment after the service was set up. They never gave it back and only sent rebates that didn't equal what they withdrew. This was of course acting ignorant to what they did. I love the fact that they say that those who make the decisions to remedy their mistakes which Verizon will never admit to are in fact, people you can't reach in anyway whatsoever. It's like some kind of hidden death panel if it even exists.

    my video format is widescreen but when I drag and drop 800x600 pixel photos (actually jpeg slides) over video, imovie adjust the photos by zooming in cropping out the top of bottom of the photos. I have not been able to find any way to change this within imovie. I'd rather not redo all the slides in a widescreen format. Does anyone know a work around or a setting that I'm just overlooking?

  • HT4437 My airport express worked over the past year since it was purchased. Recently it keeps dropping off my iPhone 4, my brand new 5s and my iPad. It does NOT drop off my windows based laptop.  It does not lose wifi connection. Help?

    Can anyone help with this?  It is not wifi dropping the airport express. Wifi is connected. Music plays for 5 minutes or so and then goes silent.  It is as if the Apple iPhone and iPad is no longer recognizing the airport express. I need to open up the menu and. Lick on the airport express on iPhone and iPad to get it going again. Then it will drop over and over every 5 minutes or so. No problem with Apple TV. Also no problem with my windows laptop as all work s fine with no drops.  Crazy.

    What does any of this have to do with the Apple TV?

    I can't believe I have to feel the fault of customer service mess!!! They should own up to this mishap . why isn't there a help line or corporate number?

    I've been going through problems with my bill and what was being charged for the last 5 months. Up until January no rep could tell me why I was being charged so much. After a few unpromised bill credits and refunds, my phone kept getting disconnected. Customer service kept getting my phone turned on and
    & telling me they will follow up with me in a few days, weeks, & bill cycle. No one has ever reached out to me for a follow up.
    The reps kept telling me to JUST PAY  the current bill and not the past due until the promised credit kicks in. So now March comes around & finally this lady explained what happened and how it wasn't my fault & that I been getting the wrong info from every other rep I talked to previously (supervisors included). EVERYONE TOLD ME I WAS STILL ON THE EDGE PROGRAM(im not) & THAT MY CREDIT SHOULD KICK IN BECAUSE OF THAT(it didnt)
    So now after MANY DOCUMENTED NOTES{11-14>4/15} that says im not in fault for the past due bills and suspensions, I'm being rejected from charging anything to my account AND edge program for 6 months. This is totally rediculous. So im stuck with my phone for another 1/2 a year or sign a new 2 year contract paying up front with upgrade fees.
    No one was any help yesterday! They keep talking to me as if the situation is my fault! My account was well documented. I been with vzw for 10years and this by far makes me want to drop service

  • I am Ready to bring Comcast back!!

    I've had FIOS for 6+ months.  TV/Phone - No problems.
    Internet - Seriously - I don't see the speed difference AT ALL.
    That's WHEN i have a connection for more than 'x' hours straight.
    I've had technicians at the house - they've replaced the Router, cable, etc...  It was a bit better for a short while but down last night for 30+ minutes.  Down right now from 9:40am EST to current 10:55am EST. 
    Many times it goes down for a few minutes.  The in-home agent kicks in and that sometimes fixes it.  Why wouldn't the in-home software
    When the internet goes down, not only do I loose Internet. But I can no longer talk to my internal PC's either.  I cannot ping anything from any PC's.   BUT !!! Most of the time the XBOX stays on the network and works!!  it does go out sometimes as well.
    Cannot resolve DNS host names.  Canot ping printer next to me.
    I have dozens of screen shots and troubleshooting steps that I have followed.
    I've replaced my internal switch (twice). 
    I've removed everything from network except 1 machine.- same issue.
    I've replaced my other wireless router.  No change.
    I have run network analysis tools (Win 7 & wireshark) on the network to see what (if anything) is happening during this outage period.. Results show NOTHING!
    It almost appears as if it's a DOS attack - but there's not network activity.
    I am frustrated - I've wasted time, money & effort to resolve this. While the local Techs have been more than nice - I still have the same results....
    I have NEVER, EVER had such bad issues like this with Comcast. It was purely a money saving effort..  I guess you get what you pay for!! 

    Oh - and as for Speed - while I understand I am at the mercy of the other end of the pipe... I do NOT get 35/35 like promised.. Not even close... The rest of my family thinks it's slower than the 15/5 we had from Comcast.
    Also - I have a gigabit  switch internally - So nothing's slow on my end.  
    Streaming from anywhere is horrible.  Cannot watch movies on my droid - too slow!!
    Not happy!

    I created a drop down menu bar in dreamweaver with CSS and
    layers, it works great on all pages except my home page where I
    have created a flash animation.

    layers to show on top of the Flash 8 animation? I tried putting the
    flash animation on a seperate layer and work with the "hide" and
    "show" behaviours but only succeeded in hiding the flash when the
    menu layer dropped.

    All Active content on a page will always rise to the top, so
    to speak,
    including Flash, certain form elements, Java applets, and
    Active X controls.
    This means that each of these will poke through layers. There
    is not a good
    cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this issue, but
    if you can be
    confident in your visitors using IE 5+ or NN6+, then you can
    use the Flash
    wmode parameter.
