I am receiving blocked plug in message and my computer no longer will play vieos or display some messages.
just recently mu computer will no longer play videos or display some pictures and it says blocke plug in.

I am running OSX Lion 10.78.4 and the computer will no longer go into sleep mode when I close the cover. In system preferences I can no longer find the option that allows for this energy saving feature. What happened to this option and why is this no longer happening with the latest version of Lion?
No external monitors or devices attached. When you mention that this function only works when devices are attached that is true when you set up your preferences that way. Up until my upgrade to Lion the computer would always go into sleep mode when I closed the lid. There also used to be an option to check in system preferences that allowed you to choose this option. My question for the discussion is what happened to that option and how do you get the computer to sleep or at least the display to sleep when you close the lid as we have been able to do in the past. The 'Blocked plug-in' message is from Safari (Apple), not Flash Player. This either means you have an older version of Flash Player, or internet plug-ins are disabled in the browser. To verify internet plug-ins are enabled, Go to the Safari Preferences > Security and make sure the 'Internet Plug-ins' checkbox is marked. The exact location and wording may differ depending on your version of Safari.
To install the latest version of Flash Player, go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and download the installer, taking note of the download location. After the download completes, exit out of Safari (and any other app you have that may use Flash Player), go to the 'saved to' location, launch the installer, and follow the prompts to install Flash Player.

Could you please visit https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and follow the instructions to get the latest version? Once installed, please visit the Flash Player Help page and click the "Check Now" button. Your Flash Player version should now be 17.0.0.134 which is the latest version. That should fix the blocked plugin issue that you're running into.

Do you also connect the external USB drive to the AC power as well while you use it ?
Sometimes USB external drive problems are resolved simply by plugging them into the mains power and trying again.

Installed latest itunes update and computer tried to burn a playlist to CD and realized computer no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive. After doing some data mining, found out from community this is an long standing APPLE problem- which doesn't get much tech support in terms of fixes. I have an HPPavillion DV6 64 bit, Windows 7 OS . After reading an earlier complaint from 2009 in the support community, I ran diagnostics from ITunes which gave the following result. Can someone please help? (I'm not enough of a techie to know what I'm doing or how to locate /reinstall CD drivers. I am searching for driver disc but cannot locate.)

I think from what I gathered in the other posts on SDN about exceptions that it can be used only within a function module and not directly ..

Try creating a Z Function module to display the exception but then the exception would stop only your Z Function module and not the user exit from going further..

I just downloaded a video in HD, but I found out after the download was over my computer doesn't play HD videos. Is there any way I can return the video and get the SD version, or upgrade my computer so it will play the HD video?

I have 2 older iPod touches and 1 computer. It will reconize one but not the other. How do I sync music on both?

i recently had to have my laptop mended, didn't realize this would wipe off all cd's i had added to i tunes !!! i have seen the itunes match and wondered if i paid for this and put all my cd's on again and my computer goes wrong will this enable me to still have my music in itunes ? im not very clued up as you can see lol thanx in anticipation
If you had subscribed to iTunes Match, yes, everything in your iTunes Library that was a "match" can be downloaded again.

Are you still using 10.6.7, if not then please update your profile to let us know the verison of OS X installed.
You probably have a Safari plugin installed that may need to be updated or if you are running a later version of OS X than SL then you could be affected by Gatekeeper.
