I am receiving the following error message when deleting email messages
I am a new Apple Mac user and aside from converting me from the other useless PC operating system, I am still learning my way around MAC OS X Mavericks.
I am receiving the following error message when trying to delete an email message.
The Message "XXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXX by XXXXX XXXXXXX" could not be moved to the mailbox 'Trash" - veyron007(outlook)"
The IMAP command "UID COPY" (to deleted) failed for the mailbox "INBOX" with server error : Error 9.
Please try again later.
The error message above is exactly as it appears in the error box.
Does anybody know why I am receiving this message?
Does anybody know the correct procudure for loading email accounts with (OUTLOOK, OPTUSNET, etc)
Do I use IMAP or POP3 for OUTLOOK?

Having SSL turned on is supposed to be a lot safer (some require it), I wouldn't want a connection without.
SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer and using it means your connection to the server is encrypted.
Especially when using wifi your connection is prone to eavesdropping, I do not use wifi.
You can set a mail program like OSX's Mail.app to keep the POP mail on the server, but IMAP is my weapon of choice.
IMAP and POP3 are protocols. Mail.app (or Mail) is a client.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version in Windows 8.1 and when I try to create a .pdf file, I receive the following error message "Acrobat could not open "file name.log" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged. While making a backup copy in Itunes of my Iphone I receive the following error message: While making a backup copy of this iPhone (-35) an error has occurred. Do you want to continue with altering this Iphone? When you continue al the material on this Iphone will be lost.
I reinstalled iTunes but that dit not help. After synching iTunes with my iPhone it also asks to authorize my pc and when i Click on ok, it says it is already authorized.
Please can somebody help me, so I can make backup.

DerkIt's likely that your backup is corrupt. Try deleting the backup, then right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "back up". To delete go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab. Highlight and delete the most recent backup. Note that sometimes deleting this way leaves some garbage around that can still interfere with a new backup, so you should verify that the backup folder is empty.

When I try to run iTunes I receive the following error message: "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes helper. Please unistall iTunes, then install iTunes again". I have done this twice and continue to get the error message. What now?

I bought a mac companion for my desktop mac running os x but received the following error message when I tried to install the quikprotect software download: "power pc no longer supported." I did not read that anywhere when investigating. What gives?
PPC, also known as PowerPC has not existed on Macs since the beginning of 2006. Apple made a bridge software and included it with Mac OSes until 10.6.8 known as Rosetta that would allow you to run software written for the PowerPC Macs. 10.7 and later can't run that bridge software. You have one of several options:
Install 10.6 retail on a USB Flash drive, and run that application while booted from there.
Find an update designed for 10.7 or later of the software.
Find a combination of Virtualbox or Paralllels that can legally run a version of 10.6 side by side with your 10.7 software.
Run Windows on your Mac with Virtualbox or use CrossOver that requires no Windows to run a Windows version of your application.

When you look at the images in the browser, do you see any arrow icons on your thumbnails? Like these:
When you import your images from a folder on your system drive, you have two ways to import:
Managed: Import and store the images in the library
Or referenced: Leave the images in the folder outside the Aperture library.
This is controlled by the "Store Files" settings in the Import panel:
If you did not set "Store files" to "In the Aperture Library", the originals will stay in the folder outside.
The error message you get, suggests that Aperture assumes the original files are in a folder outside the library.
Select one of your images in the Browser and use the command "File > Show in Finder" - is this command available or dimmed out? -

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Application Support, won't install normally.

I am able to receive texts from the number in question, but not able to text back to the person sending.
The number is a valid 9 digit cell/mobile number.If you're sending as SMS (green bubble) then this is a carrier issue and not an issues with your phone.
To text internationally, you nearly always need to include the country code before the rest of the phone number. If you are doing so and still have issues, contact your carrier.
