I am recording sales training on mac need microphone which is the ebst one

Hi I am recording CD's and DVD's  on MAC for sale and need to know the best recording microphone or even if I really need one?

Shure SM7B would be great but truthfully almost any decent mic will work in that context. Keep your computer out of the way as much as possible if it has a noisy hard drive. I do reasonable voice over using a cheap Logitech headset in fcpx. It's nothing close to pro quality but often people spend a lot more than they need to. I'd consider ordering a couple of mics of various quality from someplace like BH that will allow returns.

Hello stacksofamber and welcome to Apple Support Communities,
You should be able to find a Mac OSX driver for that printer. Did you check with the manufacturer/'s website?

I'll venture that your problem here is that you're using two very different versions of Mac OS X.  The USB adapter has been useful to me when making big downloads or while using other networks, but it might not be your case.
Here's what I would advise, though it may be less than stellar:  Copy the files you need into folders and move them through a USB flash drive or using that external hard drive of yours. (Could the format be the reason your MBA can't see it?). Some stuff like calendars and contacts can be exported too. At least in Lion, I haven't used Tiger in a while.
    Good luck.

    Hello,
I am able to connect my wireless keyboard to only one mac ...not able to connect to my other mac at work after disconnecting the first one ...any suggestions please
    thanks,

    Hello:
You will need to delete the keyboard from the other Mac.  Simply disconnecting it leaves it still paired with the first Mac.

  • Got new mac, all song purchased on the former one are no longer in the library - how can I get them, please? thx

got new mac, all songs purchased on the former one are no longer in the library - how can I get them, please? thx

They aren't there because you didn't transfer them.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple recommends,  "You always back up your iTunes library in the event that a purchased item is no longer available on the iTunes Store," (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).
    Additional tip at https://discussions.apple.com/message/24176756
In future do not rely upon being able to download again.  The policy could be discontinued without notice and then you'd be in a mess.  Even now you still can't redownload everything.  Transfer properly next time and make backups.

  • Is the Black Mac book any hotter that the white one?

    Hi
I have been looking at the black Macbook and the White macbook.
    My question is
Is the Black Mac book any hotter that the white one?
    Cheers
    Daimon

My guess is, it would be if you leave it sitting in the sun just because dark colors tend to absorb more radiant heat. But that does not say the internal heat would be affected as long as it isn't exposed to significant external heat. However, given the variety of reported heat conditions of the computers, I suspect it is as much a matter of how well the machine is taken care of as what color it is. There is this article on the heat of MacBooks:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=30612
and this article to make sure the vent is not blocked:

    Hi All,
I need to get the older records for a particular id rejecting the newer ones..My Scenarios is as follows..
    ID      Result           Date
    1        Pass             2015-01-01
    1        Fail                2015-03-05
    2       Pass                2014-06-07

    1          Pass                2015-01-01
    2          Pass                 2014-06-07
How can i achieve this....Thanks in advance

Please follow the basic Netiquette of all SQL forums for the past 35+ years on the Internet. Post DDL that follows ISO-11179 rules for data element names. You have no idea; you do not even know that DATE is a reserved word in SQL! Use industry standard
encodings (ISBN, UPC, GTIN, etc) and avoid needless dialect. Give clear specifications. Give sample data. Web need to see the keys and constraints, the DRI, etc.  80-95% of the work in SQL is in the DDL.
If you do not know that rows are not records, fields are not columns and tables are not files, then you should not be posting. If your tables have no keys, you should not be posting. If you have not tried any DML yourself, you should not be posting.

  • ATI 9600 Pro Mac & PC Ed. - Which is the Dual Link DVI Port?

I just bought an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Mac & PC edition Video Card:
    http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9600/radeon9600propcmac/index.html
This card features 2 DVI ports - one of them dual link.
Maybe I'm just blind, but I've been looking around everywhere trying to figure out which DVI port is the dual link. Does anyone know?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    PowerMac G5 dual 1.8, TiBook 550, Compaq V2000 1.68 Turion   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   G5-160+120gb,1.5gb,4xSD | PBook-20gb,768mb,Combo | V2000-80,512,8xDL+Lightscribe

There is a small "1" stamped in the sheet metal next to the single link DVI connector, and a small "2" next to the dual link DVI connector. The single link is closer to the motherboard.
There should be a PDF Users Guide on the Mac CD that came with the board. Page 17 shows the connectors.

  • Can I use my late 2013 Macbook pro as a display for my xbox one. I am currently sick with the flu and I do not have a tv in my room. Is there anyway to use the hdmi port on my mac and connect it to the xbox one?

I am currently sick with the flu and in my room I dont have a tv. I tried plugging my xbox one's hdmi into the hdmi port on my macbook pro late 2013 retina display. I even tried connecting the hdmi cable to a hdmi mini display mort converter and that didnt work. How can I use my Macbook as a monitor to play game on

I would guess that the HDMI port on your mac is for output only - no input, and that's what your'e attempting to do when you attach the mac to your xbox. I looked in Mactracker and it lists the HDMI port as video output for both the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and the 15" Retina MacBook Pro (your post didn't say which one you have), so looks like that is the issue..

Alright! I've got xmonad almost set up! One major thing I still want to do is add some sort of pager-like display in the top left of xmobar. Just to show workspaces 1-9 and highlight the one I'm in (giving a preview of my windows or telling me which ones I have windows in would be great, but not absolutely necessary).
