I am regularly getting messages that my password has failed and I need to log on again.

Within the past few weeks I am getting bumped off Thunderbird. I log in with the probable password and sometimes it accepts it and sometimes it rejects it and sometimes it bumps me off again shortly later. My spouse has an account on the same system and never gets these messages. Why is this so fragile?

No you can use the same Apple ID on both iPhones. That message is just for security purposes you dont have to change your password if you know that you are the one signing in on another device.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

HT1420 Trying to get latest version of Itunes and keep getting message that Apple Mobile Devices failed to start, do I have authorization. I am only user. I have uninstalled old version of ITunes, becuase I kept getting errors. What do i do?

Last time I opened ITunes, was told I did not have latest version and proceeded to download new version. As it was loaded, keep getting message that Apple Mobile Devices failed to start, verify that I have sufficient privileges to start system services. If you recently purchased a new computer, call AppleCare and describe your problem. Others who have done this have received an iWork '09 disk in the mail with which to do the conversion.

Finished editing a short movie.
Then went to share on vimeo but got this message - see also screenshot when I tried to export to desktop.

Have tried deleting my render files for the project and also another fix mentioned of deleting any black space files on the edit itself but neither work?
Just upgraded to OS Mavericks could this be causing it? If so how to downgrade?

Thanks for your help both, I called Apple tech support and spoke to a really helpful chap called Andrea who helped me out. Now got my Master file sorted and am trying Vimeo upload again.
Just to clarify points for people out there with the same issue:
First steps
- Ensure background rendering is turned off in preferences
- Delete project and events render files
- If upgraded to Mavericks then go to FCPX in finder under applications hit buttons 'CMD' and 'I' together and tick the 'prevent App Nap' box.
Next Steps
I had already done all of this when Apple Tech spoke to me so we discussed the message 'Quicktime -50' and what it meant. It wasnt a purely generic error message but was not detailed enough to point to one specific issue. This problem had occurred in previous years (so Mavericks not wholly to blame) and patches were issued over the years by Apple to help resolve some of the problems.
The message essentially is indicating that there is a problem somewhere with the media in some way shape or form.
My export went to 8% then failed. Apple's answer was that the project settings were corrupted in some way.
So what they suggested (so simple I could kick myself) was to select all the media files by 'CMD + A' then copy them 'CMD + C' then create and open a new project timeline, and then paste in 'CMD + V'.
Then we tried export again this time to a master file with some settings detailed by Apple.
The difference now was it got to 40% then failed but due to a different reason 'error -1 frame 10124 error'
At last we get past the project issues and into the event media issues, it seems that when I loaded the compact flash last night, the iMac kept ejecting the reader so had to copy files over quickly and seems that some of the file clip I used although showed on the viewer, didn't seem to have loaded all the correct media, so selecting this clip frame 10124 on the viewer I found that it showed as red on the frame row which implied an issue. So I simply bladed it off and deleted it.
Then I reran the export to Master file and it worked, though jumping from 40% to 100% complete was a shock to me!
Now am trying the export to Vimeo - hope this helps some of you out there. Worst case pick up the phone to Apple and speak to the Final Cut Pro guys they can help.

Yikesyou have helped me before and I thank you for that. Funny how at the last resort I ask a question and then an hour later I fix something that has been broken for five days. I got off on the wrong foot with Lightroom installation and I really stepped in it...a lot had to do with a bad hard drive and all that. I still have remnants of catalogues etc so I am never quite sure where I am. I ran a search and found more than one .lrdata files. Try deleting an other icloud backup and see if it will automatically backup.

If you haven't already tried again and been able to successfully connnect, try again. If necessary, Quit Mail, and re-open it.
Some errors aren't caused by anything we're doing wrong, or problems with our equipment.
Major web service providers like Yahoo! experience 'downtime' now and then, sometimes planned, sometimes unplanned.
During the time you posted your question (about 18 hours before I post this message with the chart) Yahoo was 'down' as indicated by end-user reports, and illustrated by the colorful bands in the chart below.

I left my Mac at the store for it to complete a 16 hr. backup. Yet, I still get the message that the backup has failed, try again later. If this persists use Utility Disk to repair. I have done all of this and the Apple Genus said everything was ok.

My question: is it important that I seek further help with this backkup issue or just ignore it. The 16 hr. backup at the Apple Store is accessable in the Time Machine. I'm just concerned about the error message.

I did the verification, which indicated that the last backup was 0422 today. However, when I opened my Mac, this morning at 0500, I still got the message that the backup was NOT performed, etc, etc. etc.
The backup is made on the standard Tiime Machine.
The next backup has already started as of 0518. Let's see what happens. This is strange. Here is the time sequence: 0518    Backup started
                0525     Mac. froze and color wheel would not allow me to access anything on the Mac,
                0528     Backup continuted: 91.9 MB of 94.8 MB
                0530     92.2 MB of 94.8 MB
                0532     Backup stopped. Message: Latest backup 4:22 Today.
It seems to be functioning properly at this point. I'm curious to see if I get the standard "The backkup was not performed because an error occured while copying files to the backup disk" message, later today.

After I exit Firefox, I keep getting messages that Firefox is still running and I have restart my computer. How can I avoid this from happening?

This happens when I close the internet browser. When i want to go back on, nearly every time, I get the message that firefox is till running, close or restart the computer. Since i have closed it, I continuously have to restart my computer (or switch over to Chrome)

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

I keep getting messages that my storage is full and I should go to settings to fix it. I do not have alot of music or photos on the phone how can I find out wha tth problem is?

i think its in general settings and storage. this will list your apps and how much room everything is taking. do you have a lot of apps downloaded?
