many thanksMac's do a pretty good job of keeping themselves tidy and not clogging up with masses of redundant files, so the use of cleanup utilities tends to be unecessary - - - and can cause more problems than it solves!
The apps that no longer appear in Launchpad - are they still in your Applications folder accessed through Finder? If so, try launching them from there and see if they reappear in Launchpad.
As for non-displayed emails, Clean My Mac may have wiped them. But try this - back up any important files, then select a folder in Mail (say, inbox), click Mailbox in top menu, then click rebuild (the last option on that menu). If they do not reappear, then you could try accessing them from your mail/internet provider providing you have opted to keep messages on server.
As a last resort, you could try restore from Time Machine - you do keep a backup don't you? -

Just got an iPad. I have a PowerPC G4 OS X 10.4.11 at home (Tiger). I tried to sync with my iTunes but it says I need iTunes 10.1 or later. I tried to download the newest version of iTunes and it says I need OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later. How do I use my iPad without having to upgrade my home G4 to a Leopard?
If anyone can help me get around this, I really appreciate it!I am pretty sure that you can still but Leopard - maybe even search the online Apple Store.
If it were feasible and affordable, the ideal situation would be to upgrade your Mac - buy a new one with Snoe Leopard on it. That's easier said than done with you having just bought an iPad. But Leopard will be as high as you can go on the Power PC and soon Lion will be here.
I recently (3 months ago) upgraded my Leopard MacBook to Snow Leopard in anticipation of Lion. I love Macs and Apple products, but at some point, as with other tech devices, you have to upgrade to keep up with the technology.

I am trying to connect my Ipad 2 to my Mac Air over bluetooth.
I can connect them to each other, and both machines say they are connected over bluetooth.
However I can not access the internet on the Ipad...says it is not connected to the internet.
Does anyone know if you can fix this?

Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

OK my family now has (2) Ipad2. Mine and my wifes. We do NOT want a second apple account but we want to use facetime. Both pads will ring like it is making a call but the other pad will not recieve the call.
I'm sure I'm not the only person with one account and two apple products. Can someone please let me know how to get these to ipads talking to one another so that while we are traveling we can utilize facetime?
Summary 2 Ipads both able to call out on face time but I cant seem to set up a call between them?No you do not need two Apple ID's. This is what I did on my iPod Touch and my iPad using my one and only Apple ID.
I used my Apple ID which is my main email address associated with my ID as the email address that I can be reached on the iPad so essentially all I did on the iPad was turn FaceTime on in the settings and let that email address be verified for FaceTime on the iPad.
On the iPod Touch I turned on FaceTime in the settings and then under - You can be reached for video calls at - I added another email address that I have with AOL. Then I went to the inbox of that AOL email address and there was an email from Apple with a link that I tapped on to finish the verification process. I can't recall exactly what it said, but it was very easy to follow the instructions to verify the address.
Then I went back to the FaceTime settings on the Touch and removed my Apple ID email address from - You can be reached for videos calls at ... You have to remove this email address so that you do not end up calling yourself. FaceTime will always revert to the first email address in the settings so that is why you have to remove the Apple ID email address in the one device. -
I've downloaded the newest version of firefox 3 times and am still getting message that I don't have a current version. I'm not able to open Pandora.com because of this. What am I missing?

It looks like your System Details say you are still on version 3. How have you been trying to update Firefox? Were there any errors during the update? You should look at [[Updating Firefox]] for details.
You could also try going to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

# Close Firefox. Be sure that it isn't still running in the background.
# Run the installer and re-open Firefox.

ok. my iphone 4 (16GB, verizon is carrier, don't know for sure if it is GSM, CDMA, or a 4s) has no display, the light on the front is always on (the flash) and the phone will still sync with itunes and seems to work...what is wrong? does it need to be repaired? oh yeah, it has ios 6.01 on it.

Run-time Error 10459 - Can't Load NIDAQ DLL
Hi,
I'm using VB6 and Measurement Studio 6 with NIDAQ 7.4 and a PCI-6013 device.
I've written an application which accesses the daq card, but also will open another seperate VB6 application which needs to access the daq card. Before the first application accesses the daq card, it resets the daq card using the cwdaqtools control with the following command: CWDAQTools1.ResetDAQDevice (1).
I then unload the form which referenced the daq card, and then open the second application. When the second application opens, I get the attached error message: #10459 was generated by cwdaq. The NI-DAQ DLL could not be called due to an interface error.
This doesn't happen when I run the first application from VB6 in debug mode. It also doesn't happen if I run the compiled applications with VB6 just open.
Can anyone shed some light or offer any suggestions as to what is going on here, and how to solve the issue.
Additionally, due to the fact that I'm using Measurement Studio 6 I need to be using the traditional daq drivers. NiDAQ 7.5 doesn't have the traditional daq driver, so I'm forced to use NiDAQ 7.4.

I've visited the link as suggested. Here are the results based on the suggested solutions in order:
1.) I'm fixed in the order in which the applications can be opened, as one application is used to open the second.
2.) I'm working with the latest version of NI-DAQ (7.5 doesn't work with Measurement Studio 6)
3.) Target system is using the latest version of NI-DAQ.
4.) Downloaded palBase and this worked. However, since this application is designed as a distributable application, it doesn't seem plausible to ask the end user to work with palBase, especially if the end user is not comfortable working with computers. Is there another way to accomplish the same effect programatically which would be invisible to the end user?
