I am running ver 9.0.1, but I keep getting the message that I am not running the latest version? Why? and how can I get rid of this message?

On my firefox start up screen, I get the message that I am not running the latest. It asks that I upgrade now. However, under "about firefox," I am running 9.01, the latest version. I'd like to know why I'm getting this message and how I can get rid of it.

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].

Looks like you didn't uninstall; you just logged out. Go to the Windows Control Panel, Programs and Features (in Win7; may be different in your version of Windows). right click on each Adobe CC app you want to uninstall and select "uninstall". Then uninstall CC itself.

I have updated my firefox version but it keeps on telling me that I do not have the latest version, even though I just updated it.

On the homepage of firefox it sayd that I do not have the latest version of firefox. So i desidet to update it, but after that it kept on telling me that I do not have the latest version. Modern repair workstations allow the equipped service company to fix complex issues and they do troubleshooting. Sometimes the cost is less than a replacement logic board.

Usually the issue is caused by hardware, especially if there is an indication of machine failure in the crash log or other screen image text.
A working last model MacBook (mid-2010) would be a better 'first mac' to have.
Hopefully you can sort it out.
If not, there likely are fair parts in it.

Nightly builds offer x64 versions, but beta builds don't; why, and how can I get an "official" x64 build?

2 months ago, i downloaded Nightly 9.0a1 x64 directly from the FTP server. It works fine, but I haven't updated it for a while, since it works fine.
I notice that 9.0b1 is the new beta, but there is no x64 version i can find to download.
I'm confused why there still doesn't seem to be an "official" x64 build, except as a Nightly version, which doesn't like all my add-ons.
There have been x64 builds available for years, but never anything current and official.

You must have at least a Late 2006 model 2,1 MacBook.
The model 2,1 (Late 2006 & Mid 2007) can use 3gb of 200 pin 667mhz PC2-5300 RAM

Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in the model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.

If your Mac is new-ish and has one of the Lions as its OS, the drives, cards, USB sticks no longer show up, even though they're there. Go to Finder's Preferences and tick the corresponding items in the General and Sidebar tabs.

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

I have verified that I am using the latest Apple operating system and the latest iTunes. I have reset my photo stream. Not sure what else to try... I was also having an issue with my calendar where it would sync from my computer to my iPhone but not vice versa. Somehow in all the resetting that's resolved, but the photo issue is not. Again - photos are going into the photostream, but not wirelessly being put into the file on my computer.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.
