iTunes will not open. I am using Windows 7, and have had no trouble with iTunes until yesterday. The only think I did yesterday was install an upgrade to the latest Flash player. From then on, even after deleting and reinstalling iTunes, it still does NOTHING after the screen authorizing iTunes to make changes to the hard drive. I have tried going to the applications and ending process. I've also tried going to Control panel - and tried to repair the program.
If I don't get some help here... iTunes is toast to me.

Windows XP with IE8 will not load Flash Player
I have been trying for about 1 month to download Flash Player. When I down load it it ends with installation error. When I send error report and I get a response it says an application error.Besides me who has a problem; Adobe, Windows, or IE8? Can anyone tell me?
Hi, To whom are you sending an error report? Go to this Troubleshooting Guide and page down until you see the various errors?
Which error are you receiving?
Also were you following the Uninstall/Install procedures from that Guide? If not, what Adobe site were you using?

Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?
On another note, the iPhone tells me that it's ''busy'' when opening a photo on the computer.
(I tried restarting my PC, connecting via another USB port, importing using PhotoStream, etc...)Are you using the front or rear camera? When you say they are low quality, are you referring to file/pixel size, or how the picture looks? As far as upside down, how are you holding the phone? Older versions of Windows have issues reading the Metadata from the pictures and will not display the same.

I have windows xp sp3, run Mcaffee security software- when I open I-Tunes it does open however it will not connet to the I-Tunes store. Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

Numerous attempts at a clean install of iTunes have failed. I am running Win7 64 bit on a Toshiba L series Satellite w/8G RAM and 100 G HDD space. Error message was (-42404), but following a complete (recommended) uninstall am now getting "Error 7". The prior uninstall included the establishment of administrator rights to files and folders left in the Apple folder after running the uninstaller, and successfully removing ALL visible and hidden Apple files and folders.
Any other suggestions out there folks?On Oracle Metalink site, there are many documents which says that Oracle 32 bit software works on 32 bits OS and 64 bits software works on 64 bits OS. Official support is only in those combination....
So there is no good way to help you in your case-XE is 32 bit application with hard codded compiled libraries which most of them would not work on 64 bit OS.

Hi, yes preferences sees there is a second display it recognises what make of monitor it is etc but I just get a blank blue screen on the monitor when I change it to the hdmi setting! I have tried with mirroring on and off, rearranging the displays in the preference window and lots of different resolution settings but with no difference.
An old MacBook connects fine so the monitor and hdmi port must be okay. I'm sure we have used the cable before but it could have been with the previous MacBook Air. The current one I'm using is a mid 2011 version running lion and is (according to software update) all up to date.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated! -

First of all, thank you so much for responding and sorry I forgot to mention my CPU; fortunately I **DO** have the 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor so I could upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Two Questions:
1. Do you know whether Snow Leopard sold by Apple is an upgrade or "clean install?" If it's not a clean install, do you know (off-hand) if there are any upgrade issues? I'm very partiall to a clean install.
2. Why does Adobe state (for updating Flash Player 10.3 when Adobe knows that [most likely] the 10.3 versions run on Mac OS 10.5.x? See statement and link below...

Windows 7, firefox 1.6.16 just installed office 2010, sometimes cannot open a link in outlook and firefox is my default browser, and firefox will not initiate at all. Have to restart computer to get any response which then works but after a while it crashes again. Was this due to an update or office 2010 has a hidden setting somewhere? I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

why is it that when i upgraded to ios 6, my ipad 2 no longer connects to known networks automatically?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

This is what I get when trying to use "FLASH PLAYER HELP", as you can see, my flash player and OS are NOT listed and when asked on left side of screen if "THIS WAS HELPFUL", I clicked NO and could not complete my response.
