They have been up and running for over a about a year on XSAN 2 and all of a sudden started having problems with data transter and then won's connect anymore

I am changing from Word to Pages. I have created my custom template with all my styles etc and that is what comes up when I go for a New Document. Fine. How do I get it to use the same Custom Template when I use Pages to open a Word document?
The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

What you will need to do is to set up a digital start and stop triggered Analog Input acquisition. Then you will need to have a counter set as event counter, having the specific number of pulses you need configured as the preset value, configured to count down, and generating a pulse after the terminal count has been reached. That counter output will be the stop trigger of the Analog Input operation. In summary, you will have the external pulse being both the digital trigger of the Analog Input operation and the source pin of the counter, and the counter output being the digital stop signal for the analog input.
I'm attaching a Labview VI that does the start and stop analog input acquisition. You will need to include the counter part and set the stop s
ignal to be the counter output.

RV042 with Dual Internet with Primary\Backup Setting
We currently have a RV042 v3 with two Internet Connections. T1 and DSL. We are setup to use the Primary WAN 1 (DSL) and Backup WAN 2 (T1), However I want a internal device to be able to only use the Backup WAN such as for RDP for remote access. Is this possible?
Also if this is done using One to One NAT, can I have a NAT statement for a mapping to an external IP Address for each Internet circuit?Just adding more info:
If I select the Load Balancing mode, I am able to have two NATs to the same internal host. NAT to two seperate external IP Address, provided by each carrier. Can this still be done when Primary\Backup Internet is selected? I guess use inbound access on either circuit, while outbound internet will only use Primary, unless it fails to Backup.

I am running a laptop with windows 7 and am trying to use the save as feature in Photoshop CS6 and it wont let me save as anything. Can someone please help me with this?
A screenshot of your Photoshop work area showing the open file you want to save as, the Layers panel open, and the Save as... dialog open might give us a clue as to what is going on.
To take a screenshot and save it as a file
For Windows 7, Printscreen, open a New File in Photoshop, Ctrl v to paste, then save as jpeg (the other trick was for windows 8)
Use the Camera icon on your reply to upload it.
Also File > Save for Web is a good workaround if you just need a jpeg, png, or gif.

I updated my PC running windows XP with itunes 11.4.1 and received numerous errors.
I updated my PC running windows XP with itunes 11.4.1. Had to install manually. After doing this I received an error message 'mobile me services can't be located'. Went to check icloud and icloud won't open because procedure entry point could not be located. Rebooted and get entry point error on reboot.
What is the fix?For all Windows OS to fix this perform the following.
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Remove previous version of iTunes
3. Remove Apple Update
4. Remove Bonjour
5. Remove any other affiliated iTunes download.
6. Return to Apple >> Download iTunes may indicate it will fail to download but reattempt it will download,
7. Once downloaded it may download as (iTunessetup_exe)
8. Right click on the download and change the file extension to a .exe
9. Install should be successful.
I performed all the steps and my iTunes works fine. -

thanksMy Quad has the 6600, 4.5G RAM, and 2 - 250G drives, Airport/Bluetooth. I loaded the system by running a process which runs 4 threads randomly moving 1M chunks of RAM around (from a block of about 3G), and verifying the memory isn't corrupted. Activity Monitor shows the CPU at 0% idle, my test program is using about 380% CPU. Processor is set to Highest in Energy Saver prefs.
I'm using a Kill-A-Watt. Running as described above, wattage is displaying 426.
I'm might be able to get it to use a few more watts by exercising the drives, but not more than about 20W.
My point is that the Quad itself doesn't use as much power as some think.
The UPS sure makes it easy to add the Kill-A-Watt without rebooting.

Boot in safe mode. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including your login items.
Use a tool such as the one linked below to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space:

My phone started to download IoS 7.0.4 with my hotspot on the phone from itunes. I have no internet connectivity and the phone will only display connect to iTunes on the screen. What do I do?
You will need to find a place where you can connect the computer to the internet so you can restore the iPhone - no way around that at this point.
Were you using your iPhone's hotspot as the internet connection for the computer to download and install an update on that very same iPhone that was providing the internet connection? If so, honestly, that was not a smart thing to do at all. In order to apply the downloaded update,the phone had to restart and disconnect - it could not possible install an update without doing that.
Regardless, it is now in recovery mode. The only way to recover it is to restore it with iTunes on your computer and that will require an internet connection. -
My itunes has stopped working out of nowhere. When I open iTunes a message appears stating "iTunes has stopped working." and windows closes iTunes sayng it will look for a solution. I have Windows 8.1 64-Bit and have been using iTunes 11.1 (or the newest one out there). I have un-installed and re-installed multiple times. The same message continues to pop up.

Help needed urgently with Superduper backup of Macbook and external HHD
My Macbook is doing strange things (not sleeping and turning itself on and off, fans going mad etc) so I want to do a cloned back up before taking it to my Apple Service store. I have downloaded Superduper ready to do this but am not sure how I use this as I have an external firewire drive as well as the Macbooks internal drive. Ideally I want to clone everything in order to make sure I have it all covered. Can I make one cloned backup that will include the external drive and the Macbooks drive onto one hard drive that I will use just for this purpose? Or do I have to use Superduper to clone the macbook and then do a separate backup of the files on my external drive? All my important files are on the external drive (photos, iMovie, documents) and I do have a backup of this on another portable drive but this is now too small to fit any more on and is therefore not up to date so I now need to buy a bigger drive and do a full back up ASAP.
By the way, I am still using Tiger so do not have Time Machine.
Also, how do i prepare the new drive? Do I need to partition it to a GUID system for my Intel Macbook first before doing the clone?
Message was edited by: 12frets56I am not clear on how many drives you have, of what type, and how much data is on them and which are empty. Perhaps you could provide a list. You say you have an internal, and an external, both with data. If you want to back up both of these you will need another drive that is at least the size of the current space occupied by the files on your internal and important data external. I am less familiar with SuperDuper than I am with CarbonCopyCloner but for both programs there exists a complete bootable backup clone option which puts everything on a drive (including invisible files from your operating system which are essential for your computer to boot) onto the backup. This will also erase the target drive so you need to have an empty drive (or one where you don't care about the content) for a target. You would back up your internal drive in this manner. Your external drive (unless it has a different boot system on it) you can just copy files over since it is just data. It would be handy at this stage if we knew more about the drives so we can make specific recommendations as to what to copy where, and how.
