If you mean when you are reading email in the mail app.....
Tap on the word "Mailboxes" in the upper left corner of the mail app - next to the name of your Exchange email account. That will take you back to the list of all of the Mailboxes on your iPad.
The mail app will always go back to where you were when you left the app. So if you were reading mail in your Exchange account and then you leave the app (without quitting the app) it will take you back to that email that you were reading when you come back.

Shouldn't take more than a few seconds to a minute. If it's stuck, you might want to give Apple support a call to see if they are experiencing unreported server issues. You will need your serial number, which is on the box and (I believe) the back of your iPad.

Check if you still have an old backup and do a restore otherwise it's gone.

Particularly:

Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

Did you select "Sign In with an Apple ID" as opposed to "Create a free Apple ID" when setting it up?

IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I suspect that you are using the Forwarding option within Workgroup Manager, and this works outside of the postfix alias scheme. I think you should just set those users you are forwarding to, to normal mail users, and put their forwarding rules ALSO in the alias file, so you would have:
MAILER-DAEMON: postmaster
postmaster: alex,yong
alex: [email protected]
That should do it. You really have to commit to either using Workgroup Manager or Postfix in their entirety. They don't really work too nicely in conjunction with each other.

Remove the apps from iTunes with your device connected. You can basically deselect the apps that you don't want on each device. We have three IOS devices on one AppleID and they don't all have the same apps.

It would be very helpful if you would post exactly what you are doing when you get asked for information, and the exact wording of the "PIN" request.

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

To rename them go to Settings>General>About>Name.
Don't start all over again. There are solutions for devices that are not being seen in iTunes. Try those suggestions first.

Brand new New IPad freezes all the time, on everything

I bought a New IPad a little over a month ago, to replace an aged laptop for my wife. Unfortunately the New IPad freezes all the time, about every five minutes, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. It freezes on pretty much everything, Safari, Chrome, even app store. I've tried reset, upgrading to IOS 6, pretty much everything I know off. I checked message usage, which is low, and I constantly make sure there isn't many apps running. But nothing helps. To me it's really a piece of crap. Very very frustrating.
My observation, although not very conclusive, is that everytime it freezes, it's in the middle of network activity.
Once it freezes, home button doesn't work at all, so no way to switch app, or kill an app.
Has anyone experienced the same? it's more likely a hardware issue, such as memory chip problem?
Any idea or suggestion to help, I'll appreciate.
