I AM SICK OF IT!!!

Hi all,
I am running Safari 4.05 on Snow Leopard.
Every web site i go on, i get a certificate pop up. for example if i go on facebook i get a certificate from Equifax. if i go on sky i get one from doubleclick. every web page i go on i get a certificate which i have to click continue on. I don't really know if i should always allow them or not..
I have run MacScan and that cannot find anything.
I think it might be some sort of virus.

HI,
When you see the "pop up" that tell you "Safari can't verify the identify of the website "nameofsite"
It means the certificate for the site is invalid meaning it's not SECURE.
You need to read this in order to understand the importance of a secure connection to a website. If you feel it's ok to visit that site then click "Allow".
Safari: Using encryption and secure connections
Also, when you navigate to a site that should be secure you will see a gray lock icon top right in the Safari window. A dialog will open with the sites security certificate.

    M just sets a marker
    Not sure if either are intended for on the fly during playback .

  • Can I use my late 2013 Macbook pro as a display for my xbox one. I am currently sick with the flu and I do not have a tv in my room. Is there anyway to use the hdmi port on my mac and connect it to the xbox one?

    I would guess that the HDMI port on your mac is for output only - no input, and that's what your'e attempting to do when you attach the mac to your xbox. I looked in Mactracker and it lists the HDMI port as video output for both the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and the 15" Retina MacBook Pro (your post didn't say which one you have), so looks like that is the issue..

    For that group, you need 2 counting rules:
    - one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 0 (not a working day)
    - one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 1 to 9 (a working day)
    If you want, you can add an other one or two for Holiday Class 1 to 9 (public holiday)

  • Although I am new to mac, I am not new to computers and purchasing online.  I can't sign into the App store after installing Lion.  I have had to change my password 4 times in 2 days .  I am so sick of this.  I am trying to buy a tutorial for Lion.

    I recently downloaded Lion and since have had nothing but problems with my new i-Mac.  My problem with the App store is only one issue.  Has anyone out there had any trouble with their components after installing Lion 10.7???????   After several hours on the phone with a tech my situation isn't any better.  I think the tech is sick of talking with me.  He was supposed to call me today and the phone never rang.   He told me he was working on something to repair my problems and needed to talk with engineers.  How long could that take????   If it wouldn't hurt the person who gifted me this i-Mac, I would give it back.

    When an RFC fails from the portal to an SAP Backend, probably ECC 6.0 in your case, there are a few options that I use to troubleshoot:
          1. Ensure that all your jco's are set up ok, passwords, ect. JCOs do not appear to be the problem here
          2. Have an ABAP programmer review where the RFC is failing on the Backend System
          3. Set up an External Breakpoint in the backend RFC. Step to do this:
                   a. Get the Backend UserID of a test portal user that is having this issue.
                   b. Ensure that test user has "Debug Display" access in the Backend System
                   c. Log into the Backend system, go to SE 37 and display your RFC
                   d. Go to Utilities --> Settings --> Debugging in the top menu and add the Test User ID to the "Users" field.
                   e. Set an external breakpoint any where you want in the RFC.
                   f. Run the Leave request as the test user.
                   g. a new SAP GUI screen will popup once it hits the breakpoint. The portal browser will stay frozen until you step thru the ABAP program.
      Option 3 may sound like alot at first if you never used it, but if you are responsible for troubleshooting portal issues like this one, it is a skill you must have. You can also have an ABAP resource responsible for external debugging when you come accross issues like these. It helps you see exactly what data is being passed in from the portal and what is happening to cause the error.

    We have a problem in SICK Transaction in 4.6 b server contanining 3 instances .
    " more than one application server offer ENQ service"
    When 2 instances are stopped and run the SICK transaction for one instanse found no error
    but when other instance are up and checked with SICK it gives above error message.
    The profile errors as follows
    rdisp/enqname is not identified identically on all servers
    rdisp/enqname ( mk04_P12_00 ) on server mk04_P12_00
    rdisp/enqname ( mk04_P11_01 ) on server mk04_P11_01

    That means you have 2 instances running an enque process, even tho this is possible i don't think is meant to be in your system... you need to check why?
    Check that parameter rdisp/wp_no_enq  is not set in one of the application servers.

    That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
    Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
    where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
    If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
    Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
    Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
    Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
    Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

  • Time machine sick to death of it!

    I am absolutely sick and tired of trying to create a back up.  I have been endevouring to do this all year.. and still I am no further forward.  I have a Mybooklive attached to my Netgear.  I have wiped it clean and started again. .. and STILL I dont seem to have a successful back up on there.  It is driving me to distraction.  I get the following errors...
    this back up started on March 9 - it seems to stop and restart each time the amount to be backed up reduces... until it gets to say 2gb..

    I tried at one stage to go in and edit as per another post on here using terminal.. got stuck at a particular stage and gave up as noone responded how to help.
    I just want a back up.  Western Digital have offered to replace my hard drive - but it will be a reconditioned one and not a new one..

    That's a different problem.  It's getting a negative value for the estimate of what's changed and needs to be backed-up!
    Start by Verifying your internal HD to be sure it's not a directory problem.  See #6 inUsing Disk Utility if you're not sure how to do that.
    Then check your exclusions in Time Machine Prefs > Options.  Make sure there isn't any overlap (such as excluding both a folder and a file or sub-folder inside it, separately).
    Then do a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting, to be sure the file where the exclusions are kept isn't corrupted.
    If none of that helps, your installation of OSX may be damaged.  Try installing the "combo" update, per Installing the ''combo'' update and/or Reinstalling OSX.
    If still no help, install a fresh copy of OSX (that won't disturb anything else), per the same article.

I went into my bill tonight and the mess was still there I paid $110. that's what I owe

    I guess I spoke too soon!  I really can't believe this nightmare is not over yet! My account is still wrong.  The credit that I was due totaled $63.00  I am looking at a message on my phone saying that $21.01 was credited which makes my balance $219.72.  I received a text the following day that says, I processed your credit of $30.00 and your new balance $216.73 how is that possible?  None of the late fees were credited and the amount due for my monthly charges are wrong.  Before any changes were made to my data plan back in Nov. My monthly charges were $140.00, I needed my hot spot back and i was told that the hot spot will increase my bill $10 for each phone that totals $20.  The customer rep that change my data plan at that time also gave me a credit of $20 to compensate for the increase until I had time to talk with customer service about the mix-up with my Hot spot. I originally had the hot spot, but the rep that change my plan almost a year prior told me nothing was changing except I was getting more for less money.  I explained to that rep that I need my hot spot 4 times a year...and I don't want my plan to have any changes. To verify what I'm telling u check my account and see that I called from Albany New York wanting to know where my hot spot was and I was told I didn't have the hot spot on my account since the last data change!  I lost money once again due to the verizon rep's.  so my current data plan the rep promised would increase $20 which makes my monthly charges that were $140 prior to the change $160 after the hot spot was returned to my account.  Then I was given a $12 credit per month for 12 months because of so many mistakes made to my account so with that $12 credit my monthly charges should $148 + surcharges + taxes and that's not what I see. I do know this much right now my account is in such a shambles I can hardly see the light at the end if there is an end!  I need real help!

  • Sick and tired of having to reinstall Adobe Flash Player everytime I restart my computer.

    I'm running the Latest Flash player 11.2on Windows 7 64bit with IE 9 and McAfee antivirus and this problem has been going on for at least a year. I keep hoping that a new version of flash player will solve the problem but after a year I am just sick of problems with Flash. (I hate Steve Jobs but I'm beginning to share his view of Flash.) Every time I start my laptop I have to reinstall Flash to view any videos or flash content on the web. I always get a message that I need to update my flash player and I have already updated it a million times. After I update it works until I restart the machine. I searched for solutions on Google, Adobe Forum and tried all the different suggestions but the problem continues. I've tried using other Antivirus programs but the problem continues. It doesn't matter if I use the 32 bit or 64 bit IE. It's always the same problem. Why can't Adobe find a solution to this problem? People have been complaining about the problem since Flash Player 9. I've experienced the problem since Flash player 10. I'm wondering if Adobe is doing it intentionally just to increase the number of downloads for the Adobe Flash player and every time I have to deselect the stupid Google bar. Maybe Adobe is just trying to make more money off Google by forcing me to reinstall two or three times a day?

    Sorry, I should have explained more.  You do indeed want to use the 64 bit installer, it's just that this installer actually installs both the 32 and 64-bit versions of Flash Player.  The 32 bit version of Flash Player is kept in the syswow64\macromed\flash folder and the 64 bit version is in system32\macromed\flash.
    I'm a bit concerned that this might not help, given that you see the same behavior for both 32 and 64 bit versions of IE, but doing a clean install can't hurt and should hopefully fix the install log issue I see in the reports you sent me.
    If you can, please generate another set of logs after doing the uninstall and folder/file deletions.

  • I am SICK and FEDUP with BT BROADBAND

    I'm a patient guy but this really takes the biscuit. I've probably spent more time on the telephone to BT customer support than on the internet. I've been with BT for 9 years but the last year I've had major problems.
    It all started when my local exchange had "problems" and ever since then, my broadband connection is not reliable. I get 8MB straight to my house, I've had sockets changed by BT and the BT HomeHub2 is plugged direct into the socket. Engineers have reported on 4 separate call-outs that my home wiring is not the issue and suspect the exchange.
    My download speeds are hit and miss and some evenings I can't even get online. Today for example, I returned home from work at 18:30, checked the speeds, 8MB connection, download speed test 790Kbps so all OK. Go online at 23:00, 5MB connection but download speed of 50Kbps which is utterly unacceptable and clearly an Exchange issue.
    Every technical support call I make, I am forced to repeat the same info, check the socket, use the test socket etc and I am sick and fed-up with it all. I am going to move to Virgin Fibre if BT don't sort this out.
    Are BT actually giving priorty to Infinity customers or something similar, hoping we will upgrade? If so, more will leave rather than upgrade.
    I can't actually face any more support calls, being promised they will resolve the issue and to wait 10 days for the line to settle. My BT call log must be extensive and surely, as a matter of customer support, they should up the priorty and resolve any issues once and for all. I am in contract until April 2012 and want to end it now because the service I have received is dreadful.

    Can you please post your full hub stats and a full Bt speed test
    To obtain your hub stats enter 192.168.1.254 into your browser address bar and navigate to broadband then connection then post the full results. Then run a Bt speed test This is the web address. speedtester.bt.com and again ost the full results
    No priority is given to infinity customers by the way
    Once you post the results here someone will be pleased to help you resolve the problem

  • So sick of having trouble with Java and Mac!

    I bought myself a brand new MacBook Pro OS X 10.5.8 for around a year ago. Since the first month I've had so many problems with my Java. It's eighter not working, or its is so slow that you can't work with it, at all.
    Yesterday I was playing a game, were you're in need of Java. It worked perfectly. Then suddenly, it stopped again. And I tought, since I had not used it for a while, I just had to update it. So I clicked at the "software update" and updated everything. I don't think Java was at the list. Still wasn't working. So I went to Apple.com and searched for the "Mac OS X 10.5 update 10" and found it. I downloaded it, and installed it about five times or something, still not working. I've tried everything that came to my mind to try fixing it, but nothing works. What can I do? I'm so sick of having this problem every time I'm in use of the mac. Realy start to regreat the expensive bought of this mac.
    Please, someone help me. I hate the tought of wasting 16 000,- Nok at this pc, when it's not working the way I'm using it..
    And sorry for the bad english, I'm only 15..

    Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

    Can you guys please help me with this issue..
    we have only one sick quota and , and its validity periods are set as year to year (validity beginning of year and deduction as end of year)..
    but, we have 2 rules for new hires... for one group.. they should get quota on hire date valid thru end of year.. and for other group the quota should start after 3 months of service to end of the year. all other people with more than 1.5 yrs of service will have the quota validity and deduction dates from beginning of the year.
    so how to have different validity/ded periods of one quota type..

    for nornal hireing period if u want to generate the quota
    >u can check the Pro rata option in the accural period
    for the second one
    Run the Programme RPTQTA00 once only when he comepletes the 3 months of service
    for the last one also we can do same as manually
    if this is not possible thru standrad the only option is to change the code of RPTQTA00
    but check above options once

    hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo
