I am SICK OF THIS. take some responsibility apple and HELP.
I am having the same problem a LOT of others are. my ipod is not recognized my my PC after the last itunes came out. for weeks i have been trying everything imaginable. my cable is fine, my ipod is fine, my usb port is fine, my pc is fine. ive tested the cable and ipod on another pc and they work. ive tested other devices on the usb port and tried all ports. works FINE.
ive tried tons of uninstall/reinstall/old version/blahblah bull to try and fix this.
everyone is having this problem right after the itunes software was updated. this is OBVIOUSLY a problem caused by the itunes software itself.
so i call up support, and they want $50 something to get support. this is total bull. you do not release software that causes hardware to not function properly, and then charge the customers to fix your own mistake.
I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of help i have received from apple regarding this matter. this needs to be corrected at APPLE's expense, not ours. i dont know what else to say, i am so furious.
Uninstall All versions of iTunes and iPod updaters, restart your computer, and start the setups FROM THE CD YOU GOT WITH YOUR IPOD. It should then be recognised.if you are using a USB 2.0 PCI Expansion card, try using the ports that were already on the motherboard of your computer. My PC had troubles accessing my iPod properly when I was using an Expansion card. I tested three, all from different manufactures, different chipsets, all caused problems with my Mini.
If this does not work, try using another computer to access your iPod/Format it and plug it back into your normal one to see if it makes a difference.

I have set up all the iCloud on my iPad and iPhone both are the latest version but they don't seem to sinc with each other does this take some time? I am connected to the Internet via wifi do I need to turn the mobile data to on on both maybe??
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud. -
My centre button has stopped working and my top lock button has stopped working too. I've had this iPhone 2 years now, can I take it into apple and swap for another phone or am I not covered? Thanks
The standard Apple warranty is 1 year. I believe you can purchase AppleCare+, which extends the warranty to two years from the date of purchase. This extended warranty needs to be purchased within 30 days of the purchase date for the phone.
If you have the extended warranty, you may be able to get a replacement phone at no cost. You will need to make an appointment at an Apple Store Genuis Bar and have them take a look at the phone.
If you did not purchase the additional warranty coverage, you should be able to purchase an Out-of-Warranty replacement, which is $199 for the iPhone 4S.

My wife has an ipad3 can she take it to apple and swoop it for a new one
my wife has an i pad3 that she got in march now the new one is out can she take it into apple and swoop it for a new one???
Is it defective in any way? is it less than 30 days old?
If none of this is true then no, why do you think apple would trade in iPads for new ones?
If you bought the iPad 3 less than 30 days ago some Stores can exchange it for a new iPad 4, but its a sotre by store policy. And it probbaly won;t apply anymore now that's been almost a month since the iPad 4 was released.
Other than that, what's the reason for the exchange? -
I brought a phone out the country and it won't work in the u.s can I take it to apple and get it unlock
No. Only the carrier its locked to can unlock it.
You need to contact the original carrier to get it unlocked. -
I have iTunes on 2 PCs, one running Windows 7 pro, the other running Windows 8. I also have 2 iPods which show up in Windows but not iTunes. Every time this happens I have to delete and download iTunes again, losing my library (nearly 10,000 tracks) in the process. I have had enough of Apple and their crap software as this problem has happened to me on previous computers as well and I think iTunes is crap. Is there some alternative I can use instead of iTunes to put music on my iPods?
If you have an iPod touch you could probably use DropBox.

I've broken my iPad, if I take it into apple can they get information from it as I've not backed it up in a while, if I buy a new one?
sorry. your data is likely unretrievable. Presuming the memory chips survived any impact, to get to them would require totally disassembling your device and frankensteining some sort of reader/connection. Which is beyond what will happen in an Apple store.

My t 1.25 refuses to startup on pressing the on button. This happened once before and I found a formula on a forum which involved the pmu reset switch in combination with other directions, which was successful in correcting the issue. Anyone remember how to do this? Many thanks

If the donor has warranty left regardless of the OoW status the above counts
That was a quote from the OoW section
When setting up out-of-warranty service, Apple will request credit card pre-authorization for the maximum service fee listed above. This amount will be deducted from your credit limit. The final service fee we charge will be determined during testing and may be less than the service fee listed above. Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. However, an iPhone that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service. Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPhone is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. iPhones that are repaired or replaced have a 90-day limited hardware warranty or assume the remainder of your standard warranty or AppleCare service contract coverage, whichever is longer. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.
Sorry but the above is crystal clear
I admit I've never paid any attention to that note on the support page, and reading it, in my own personal experience, it is not interpreted as written, at least in the USA. Again, based on my own personal service experience, the terms that legally apply and are in fact applied when seeking out of warranty service on any Apple product, are those in the general terms http://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/terms/repair/generalservice.html. If you read section three, there is no mention nor implication that anything done "out of warranty" carries anything but the 90 day coverage (and those terms expressly nullify any and all other).
It may also be completely different in different countries as well, depending on how local consumer laws affect what a company can or cannot do. But it has been my experience in the USA, when I have sought out of warranty service on Apple products (iOS devices as well as others), the warranty is considerd null and void, and only the limited warranty mentioned in the link above applies to the replacement device or parts.
That's all I am going to say on it as I'm not about to get into an interpretive legal debate over lawyerize in warranty documents. Anyone seeking out of warranty service can simply confirm with Apple for themselves what applies, in their specific situation and their specific country. -
the title pretty much explains what i need help on....
It is probably nothing to dowith where you bought you Mac.
It is most likely because you did not accept them into your Mac App Store account before using the apps when you set up the new Mac. So now they are one-trick-ponies that cannot be installed on any other Mac you may own, nor updated, as per their Terms of Use. -
help!!
If it happened several weeks ago then probably not. If it happened a day ago, I would suggest to put it in a tub of dry rice to try and suck out all the remaining water. You could even put it in the oven at a VERY low temperature to try and get rid of the water; you would want to make sure it is only in there for a short period of time though.
If your warranty is expired, you could try and take it to Apple and they may help you out. Otherwise, your only option to fixing the problem would be to live without the speakers or take it to Apple to have them replace the speakers. The only issue there is that down the road, you may realize you have other problems with the phone. Other things may start to malfunction and before you know it, you will have spent as much money fixing your phone as you would buying a new one. -
Some times when I press the home button to read my finger the screen becomes black and it shows the Apple logo, this take a few seconds to get back the screen and this has been happening even 3 or 4 times in a row!
What should I do?Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I have created two related Blurb books in Lightroom 5 (Volumes 1 and 2) but my balance of page numbers is off. So I'd like to take some pages out of one book (complete with images) and paste them into the other. Is this possible?
Can you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
