I am so mad at apple!

my track pad button broke and so i took it to comuspa. they sent it in to apple and when i got it back they replaced the keyboard and the button. well the button now sticks sometimes and i noticed my computer running slower and lagging more than it used to. so i went to the "about the mac menu" and when i bought my macbook i had them put in a 1gb ram, and now i only have 512mb! what the heck will they give me the RAM i payed for back?

As stated, hit up the store that sold you the machine. The origami fix seems like a good idea (provided you use something that's heat tolerant).

When you read your 'Genius Bar Work Authorization' you're going to get two copies. One (1) which you sign and submit, the second one you keep. If your machine was scanned you'll notice that the third segment of the authorization page below the word 'Product Information' contains the following data:
Model, Serial No, Date of Purchase, Warranty Status.
Looking at the one in front of me I don't see anything about the configuration. There are just two bar codes in that box.
What I do prior to taking in a machine is basic troubleshooting, run hardware test if applicable, system profiler; and write down the quantity, serial and vendor information of any memory within the machine. For fun I take pictures of the machine.
What I seriously recommend is writing the quantity of installed ram ON THE AUTHORIZATION YOU SIGN. Also write it down on your copy.
If it was a machine that was serviced in house I wouldn't be very concerned, but imagine if you're the poor guy stuck w/ a stack of identical looking machines and trying to fix them and get them back to the customer as quickly as possible.
Mistakes can happen. It's even better if you can get the configuration (memory) listed in the 'Problem Description/Diagnosis' segment of the authorization.
I understand your frustration completely. There's an information exchange occurring beyond that which would have occurred had you taken your machine directly to an Apple Store, so it's difficult to really point the finger of blame at any one place. The important thing is that you do have this remedied.
Since memory is a user installable product; I would bring in your receipt and calmly explain the situation to the store manager where you purchased the machine. They may be able to just provide you another module.
You can always save your system profile from w/in system profiler. If you happen to have done this, then you will have an SPX document that shows exactly how much memory was in your machine. It can't hurt to leave a copy of this on the desktop when you send in your machine.

    Incredible as it may seem, the brand new cable is damaged and dead. Given that it IS new, take it to an Apple Store for replacement.
    Or just buy a replacement outright if you're rich and not up for the haggling exercise of convincing the Geniuses that their brand new toy came defective from the start.
    The new Lightning cables seem to be quite a bit more fragile and delicate than the old ones.

DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL THEN otherwise you are just shutting it down. So, I did that and it worked again....

    I don't think saying that Adobe is mad at Apple is correct.
    It is more a matter of Adobe not wanting to expend the required resources needed to fix Flash for iOS. They have now given up.
    Besides with HTML5 coming along there is ever chance that Flash will just quietly dissappear.

I need a cable long enough to fit through the back of my desk and the charging brick for the iPad won't fit behind the desk.     But, now, I can not buy Apple Co. brand blank DVD-R anymore & anywhere...

    However, 3 days ago, I bought sony brand blank DVD -R, Verbatim brand DVD-R, Memorex DVD -R, Maxell DVD-R etc. , and I try to burn all brands of blank DVD -R...
    Even I'v shown my iMAC G4 to Apple store Garden State palza in Paramus, NJ, they did not found the problem. one of assistant in Apple store said, " buy New one..." This is not a solution , isn't it?

    Really,if you take care of your future customer, Your company needs responsibility to even just, one customer's sound.

    You need to purchase Pages for your iMac. You can buy it from the App Store.
    I don't know if the version of Pages for the iPad will open the Apple Works documents. If you have the documents on your Mac and want to open them on your iPad the easiest way I can think of is to open a DropBox (Google it) account and store the documents there. Then you can try to open the documents in Pages on your iPad. If that doesn't work then I know Pages for OS X will open the Apple Works WP documents.

    I don't even knoww what the heck imap IS but I use OutLook
    Express and Thunderbird on a some PCs here and Apple Mail
    on the MacPro.
    I have to admit to not having much of a life and spending a
    LOT of time with EMAIL. I get about about 80 to 150 mails a
    day and by the end of the week I have read them all. That's
    not including junk and spam mail BTW - but that's not much
    for me.
    Anyway I really appreciate and use all the features of my
    mail apps and love speed and robustness for file/format
    handleing/display. Just so you know where I'm coming from.
    Apple Mail is pretty gay. It reminds me of something free
    one migh actually feel good about using on the Amiga back
    in 1989. It doesn't cascade replies properly. It is MEGA
    SLOW at sorting and tagging. And the tools for creating
    mail are even surpassed (WAY SURPASSED!) by the abilities
    of the "TextEdit" that comes with your Mac. If there is a
    gay-award for bundled MacPro apps "Mail" would win.
    Thunderbird (I hear) works just fine on the MacPro. I will
    know first hand soon enough as I'm about to switch over to
    it. On the PC it does almost everything I need it to do.
    It's missing some incomming mail handeling functionality.
    It has some quirks too that REALLY need to be ironed out.
    Sorts are buggy (like in Apple Mail) as well. This can be
    observed easliy as your custom folders start getting up to
    around 50 and 100 thousand messages in them. Meaning each
    of many custom folders. It's awkward to format display
    lists as well as formatting messages when you're creating
    them.
    Outlook Express is about the same all-in-all as Thunderbird.
    Outlook is a little better than TB but like just a tiny tiny bit!
    It's more stable and message editing is pretty nice.
    The CFO for the co. I work for uses Endora and says it's
    good but I have no expirience with it since about 1997 or
    so - at which time it was really powerful compared to other
    offerings.
    If endora is going to become a freebee that's great news!
    I'd go for that one.

    For an unknown reason, All of my recent PURCHASES made via Apple TV remain on ATV as they will NOT TRANSFER to my iTunes. Now my ATV drive is full.
    No changes have been made to either configuration.
    The only update that was installed during this period was to BootCamp.
    Please fix this issue. It's been around for a long long time.

    Problem still exists. Have tried all suggestions that I have found so far on the web.
    Resetting is not an option as I live in a RURAL are where the local ISP charges by Gbytes transferred.
    The only option I see at this time is to hack the ATV to accept a USB drive and manually transfer.
    Please post any success you might have with this issue.
    ZERO follow through from Apple is not acceptable.
