I am so tired of this phone!!

I have had the Rhyme for months now and I hate it the longer I have it! About 30 days after I got this phone I started having problems with it here are some of the things, 1- every time I come out of an app my phone resets kinda like when you restart your phone but did not do that. When you push the power botton and hold to turn your phone off, airplain mode those three options went away for two months then came back. I have notice flashing in my phone in apps and more.. also a spot showed up in the left hand corner where you plug in to charge and it changes in size and darkness.. SO WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS PHONE????? That was just a couple of things going on with my phone! PLEASE CAN I GET IT FIXED OR A NEW PHONE!!!???!!!

Tell me about it.  I got mine in July.  I started having problems in January.  Now I am on my third phone since January and guess what??  SAME problem as the last two.  It just stops charging.  So here I sit at work with a phone that is about to run out of batteries so I must keep it off.  I have a 7 year old daughter at school but cannot be contacted if something were to happen to her.  I can't email customer service, apparently I am supposed to call on my broken phone.  Now I have to wait until I am done with work to race across town and get to Verizon before it closes so they can guess what??  Send me a new one (same phone) so we can go through this all over again in two months, do you know what the definition of insanity is??  At this point I do...  This is absolutely ridiculous.

    In July I purchased the Droid Incredible 2. It worked for about 2 weeks and ever since then i've been having issues. With every issue i had i called into Verizon, and every representative sent me a refurbished phone. Since July i've had 5 phones sent to me. And now, on my 5th phone, its not charging! Why do i get charged for a device that doesn't work? And everytime i go into the store i get treated terribly. I think after the 5th phone, it should be Verizon's job to get me a new phone-for no charge. I am so sick and tired of this phone, the keyboard freezes constantly. It turns off randomly, and i'm still paying $80.00 a month for this piece of crap phone that hasn't worked since July! I am very infuriated. I am making a trip to Verizon today, and they WILL supply me with a new phone, that isn't the Droid Incredible 2. I do not recommend this phone for anyone!!

    Five devices back to back is definitely unusual for any make and model device to be experiencing the same issue(s). I can certainly empathize with you on how frustrating this situation can be. In your original posting you stated that the device isn't taking a charge, rebooting on it's own, and the keyboard is freezing? May I ask are all three of these the original issue that you were having with the Incredible 2? If this is the case then I have posted some troubleshooting steps below so we can filter out what is the true cause of these issues. Please see steps below.
    Please remove battery from the device while the device is powered on.
    Plug device into the charger while the battery is out of the device.
    Take notes on the device's reaction while being plugged into the charger in an attempt to charge.
    Does the device power on?
    Does the LED or does the keyboard lights up.
    If the device powers up then the good news is that the charging port and the charger works. The issue may be with the battery. If the device does not power on then the issue may be the charging port or the charger. To test the charger is fairly simple. You can try another charger on the same device or the same charger on another device. Once we have confirmed the equipment issue then we will know what needs to be replaced.
    The keyboard freezing and device rebooting can be the result of either a system issue or an app issue. If the same apps are being downloaded on all 5 devices that you can expect the same results. To troubleshoot this try performing a hard reset on the device. (Please see link below)

    Keep in mind that a hard reset will erase all information on the device, including contacts and calendar entries. Backup Assistant is a great app for archiving contacts. Calendar entries can be stored on your Gmail account. Once a hard reset has been completed, please test call voice and data services on the device. Spend the next 3 - 5 days using the device without any apps. If the issue persist then please reply to this posting with your findings.

    Are you positive you're using the exact Apple ID to update these apps that was used to originally ontain them? You can verify such by right-clicking one the apps, in your iTunes library, & selecting "Get Info". This will show you the Apple ID used to originally obtain the app...does it match on your phone?

    That message basically just means that Apple wishes you would only buy Apple products for your Apple products . I get that message all the time with my iPod dock. Just click OK and move on. As for the audio player - it may be broken.

    Well, thanks for feeling with me, patkosanke ... AND for your wise advice.
    I did followed your advice immediately and erased all the service number as well as S/Ns.
    Can you, however, give me any "direct number" through which I can get hold of someone and request for what you're suggesting?
    I believe I had talked with the person by the name of "Charlie" (I think... I hope I'm correct...) when I was having the same problem with the last device. He was very kind and helpful, though I ended up getting the device that brought the same problem.
    Charlie told me that if I had any more problems I should call him. But I forgot to take down his direct number.
    Or maybe I should call the main office and ask for him. But my memory is questionable as to his name, and besides I don't even know his last name either. There could be more than one "Charlies" in Palm.
    So, if you could somehow email me some direct number (other than the one that keeps on hooking me up with those people in the overseas who are answering the phone only to sympathize with & apologize to me but can only issue a false hope with the SRO#. More than once I was given the promise that the supervisor would call me back within an hour or two but I ended up calling back after I had been left hanging in the air all night long.) where I can talk to someone like I did with Charlie last time who can truly carry out the promise, I would truly appreciate it, patkosanke. ^^

    We can't answer that. Maybe the battery is bad and is swelling inside the phone. Maybe someone else dropped it and didn't tell you about it.
    Make an appointment at the genius bar and see what they say.
    If it's over a year old, then it's not covered under warranty.

    I don't know about any of you, but I'm sick of hearing and having to reboot my phone to solve problems. When is the patch for gingerbread coming for the original droid x? I am tired of laggy keyboards, no LED light for missed calls, and all the other bugs I cant think of. Gingerbread is good, but verizon and motorola you guys can make it great for this phone.     I am glad to let you know that since 08/15/11, an update is coming out in phases for the Droid X  update for Gingerbread. This update will be pushed out in batches, so please check the device periodically by following these steps.
    Press menu
    Press Settings
    Press About Phone
    Press System Updates
    If you do not show the update on the first try, please do not be discouraged, since it is being released in stages. I would recommend checking it once or twice a day. Once pressing System Updates, if the update is available, he device will tell you and give you the option to download it.
    Please make sure that you have at lest 50% battery life when performing this update.

    After updating to iOS6, I lost all sound for apps like YouTube, Netflix, games, and even notifications. The only time sound worked was during a phone call or when the head set was plugged in.
    I did a full back up and restore- sound restored but only for a day before the problem returned.
    Called Apple Support and was advised to do another restore, but this time restore it as NEW first, then do the restore from back up.
    Seemed to do the trick.
    Here are the instructions of what I was given- hopefully this will help you too:

    Once you back up your device you will want to restore it.
    You will need to have iTunes open on your computer screen.
    Please turn your iPhone off.
    Press and hold the Home Button.

    You will want to continue to hold the Home button until you get a screen with the message "device found in recovery mode".
    Please follow the prompts and restore device as NEW.
    once the restore is done you will have to set up the device and test the sound.
    If it works you will then need to restore the device from the back up to restore your user settings.
    You can find the instructions how to restore from back up also from the the link I provided.

    Hi I have a macbook pro (late 2011) running on Yosemite  and an iPhone 5s running iOS 8.1.2 and I have never had a problem until tonight. I wanted to sync my iPhone to add mew music but upon syncing I keep getting a pop up message saying "THE IPHONE "  " COULD NOT BE SYNCED BECAUSE THIS COMPUTER IS NO LONGER AUTHORIZED FOR PURCHASED ITEMS ON THIS PHONE" and tells me to go to the store tab on the top and to authorize this computer and every time I do it says computer is already authorized. I will also mention that my iTunes account is the only account that is used on my Mac and it is the only account I've used on my iPhone. Ive synced them plenty of time with no problems. I have never came across this message before and now my iPhone won't sync. I have been online for an hour now looking for solutions but I haven't found any that successfully worked. Ive rebooted both my Mac and iPhone with no success. ow for some reason when I plug my iPhone in it does not even charge but my Mac reads it and it shows up in the iTunes store so I tried syncing it again 1 more time snap it just gets stuck on step 1. I must also say state that is did successfully back up but absolutely will not sync. Can anybody please help me out without resetting my iPhone. Thanks

    Thanks Gail but ive tried that as well as logging oht and back into my accounts on my iphone and mac but I still get that message. I actually found a solution by unckecking my synced music playlist and clicking sync to remove it and then reclicked on my playlist to sync and it actually synced notmally and I got all of my new songs so I wanted to test it again so I clicked on sync again and the message once again popped up until I did the un-syncing and re-syncing again. I guess I will keep doing that in the future even though its annoying but its better than resetting my iphone.

    Why don't you call Apple tech support thru your provider. They will be able to help you in short order.
    PS - If you want help here you need to provide a little more information i.e. how much memory does your iPhone -4- have and how much free memory do you have after restoring from the cloud?

    When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app?  Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category.  If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes.  To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.

    I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

    If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
