I am starting to get a bizarre error message.

I'm working in Mail.app, when occasionally I look at a new email, subject line is good, everything else seems normal, but the message itself reads:
"The message from "[sendername][messagesubject]” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
This happens every now and again. After I see this on one message, many other messages in my inbox read like this. Restarting the machine will sometimes fix it, sometimes not. I did a permission repair that worked for a day or two, but now the problem has returned. Any ideas?

This is a bogus error message in Mail that has absolutely nothing to do with what the real problem is. Read this first:
