I have implemented multicast on the network in a hub and spoke topology. i have set up ospf routing protocol and broadcast all network and can successfully ping.
I am currently using VLC player as my media streaming server and client. i have set up rtp streaming from the HUb router using multicast ip 224.2.2.2 and unable to broadcast the multicast traffic across the spokes 1 and 2 PC's
I have never used vlc player never set up multicast network before and i am struggling with this and need help.

Need help with Photo Stream

I am having issues with Photo Stream and iPhoto when the iPhoto library is stored on a Drobo NAS. When I access the library stored on the NAS I see Photo Stream on the menu and when I access the library I get a message that tells me I need to switch Photo Stream to this Library. I did select to switch Photo Stream over to this NAS library and I did get a big blue button that is suppose to start Photo Stream but when I push it nothing happens.
I have contacted Apple support and they said that this is the way Photo Stream works and recommended that I submit a request to have this feature added at Apple\Feedback, if it is something I would like to have. They said if enough people request this feature they will add it but that Photo Stream does not currently support an iPhoto library stored on a remote NAS or shared network drive.
My question is has anyone found a work around for this? If you would like to have this feature added to Photo Stream can you please submit your request to Apple so they will add it, perhaps a little sooner than later?

I checked today and this issue has been solved with the latest iPhoto update from Apple. I am running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my Snow Leopard Server which is sharing a Drobo NAS. I am also running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my MBP running Lion and I can now open my iPhoto Library and Photostream will work with the library and even automatically create events and move all my Photostream pictures into these events within the Library. I can then close the Library on my MBP and open the same Library from my Snow Leopard server and the new Events are there and I can move them around with no problem. Thank you Apple for this fix. Even though I cannot deal with Photostream directly from the Snow Leopard server this is a very eligant work around.

Need Help With Military DTD Using FrameMaker 8

I hope someone out there with experience in using Department of Defense DTDs with FrameMaker can contribute to this thread.
Attached is the MIL STD 400051-2 DTD that needs to play with FrameMaker. Does anyone out there know where I could find FrameMaker templates already setup that comply and play with the MIL STD 400051-2 DTD standard? If the Department of Defense is freely distributing the MIL STD 400051-2 DTD, shouldn't somebody in the Department of Defense also be providing MIL STD 400051-2 FrameMaker Templates for free that are already setup? I would greatly appreciate if anyone out there could provide an online source where I could download MIL STD 400051-2 FrameMaker templates.
Lastly, can anyone out there clarify what the purpose of the entities are inside the "Charant" and "Boilerplate" folders? The Department of Defense does not provide a readme file that define what the "Charant" and "Boilerplate" folders are about.

but if you need a consistent export, look to see if consistent=y is available in 8.0.6. All this means is that the dump file created will have
consistent data in it.
3) Is export/import the only method of migration/upgradation.If you are changing hardware, the only supported way from 8.0 to 10.2.0.4, that I know of, is using exp/imp.

Need help with HP Stream Tablet 8 and 4G

So, recently I decided I wanted to buy an HP Stream 8 tablet. I had told my mother and she bought me the stream 7 for Christmas, as no stores in our area carried the 8. However, I really wanted the 8 because the 7 didn't have the free 200MB of data, so she returned it, I covered the difference and we ordered the 8 from the Canadian website.
It just arrived today and I'm having some issues with the free 200MB of 4G that was advertised to come with it. When I go to the Mobile Broadband section of my internet connection window, it tells me to insert a sim card. Was the sim card supposed to be in the box? Did I have to order it seperately? Does it not really come with 200MB free a month? I would really like to know how to get to this 200MB because without it I wouldn't have gone with this line of tablet. Any help would be appreciated.

According to the Specs listed for this tablet on the (CAN) HPShopping.ca website here (K4F57UA#ABA) it does not indicate anywhere on the page that it comes with the free 200 MB monthly plan. This model does not come with a microSIM but does have an available SIM slot for you to add a SIM card with your own provider.
If you view the Stream 8 on the (US) HPShopping.com website here (K4F55UA#ABA) it does show that it comes with the 200 MB monthly plan. This model comes with a microSIM that can be used on the free plan, or you can use your own microSIM for your own plan.
The free 200 MB offer is only available on select SKUs in the US only, as noted on the HPShopping.com website.

Headless Mac Pro getting stuck - need help with Crash Report

I have a headless Mac Pro being used as a server. It has recently begun to have problems such as slowing down for a few minutes with apps being slow or non-reponsive. It may serve pages, but the database or FTP may not respond. When logging with VNC (screen sharing) we may get a blank screeen or a screeen with lots of black squares and artifacts. If often clears up, but if fully black will usually require that I log on via SSH and reboot. It may be fine for a day and other days may slow down a few times.
The only apps are Abyss Web Server, Panorama database, CrushFTP (uses JAVA), and Backuplist+. Temperatures seem to be okay with the highest being the Nortbridge Heat Sink (167 degrees) and a memory module (163 degrees). The primary disks are a few months old and have over 200 GB of free space. I have done maintenance with Applejack, Onyx, and Disk Warrior.

The Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250, works in every model Mac Pro, and drivers are in 10.6.5 and later.
If you decide to do a Conversion of your Server from 10.5 to 10.6, it is not too bad. Just plan on a brief downtime -- I tried to keep it all running 24/7 by creating a new Servername for the new one, and that serious mistake still haunts me.
You should plan on such a conversion to get closer to current security updates -- 10.5 is not getting those updates, and you should really disconnect your 10.5 Server from the Internet.

Need help with Battlefield 3 using Geforce 560 TI Hawk

I've recently installed my new motherboard CPU ram and SSD to upgrade my old system. I started with a brand new install, installed ALL updates. so I decided to try running Battlefield 3 since my old system couldn't. It'll play for about 15 mins or so then I get a black screen, only way out is CTRL ALT DEL my way out, but I notice on the bottem it says Direct X error. My system isn't over heating and all other games run great. I do have LucidVM set to use the graphics card for battlefield 3. I don't know if maybe i need a bios update on my 560 Ti, I've updated the drivers from a clean install for nvidia and nothing seems to work. I even thought maybe it was the spare controller i had plugged in. nothing. Please respond as soon as you can. I hope i can get this resolved. I dont even play battlefield much but if this is happening with this game Im worried itll happen with others. Thanks

I am not sure if there is any easier way, but I tried out the following tool available on the net to check an xml against a xsd:

There were a few issues, that I corrected and finally had a xsd and xml that were matching and valid. I tried this out in my file reading BPEL process, but the error still remained the same!

I even tried the option that is available in JDeveloper to generate a sample xml from a xsd (when in the context of a Transformation activity). The xml generated by this also seems exactly like the one above.
So, I am not able to figure out why my BPEL process errors out with the message Invalid xml document.

Need Help With Redirect That Uses Session Variable

I am new to dynamic sites, php, and developer toolbox, but I have been able to create a login site using the different form wizards fairly easily (in CS3 with Developers toolbox).
 
 I am trying to set a server behavior on a page that redirects the user to a new page if a session variable matches a recordset.
 
 I was using an extension (PHP Sessions - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=681308 ) that worked great, but when I installed developers toolbox, it stopped working (get error message about runtime/MX environment).
 
 Ive been struggling for days and this is what Ive come up with so far:

New user - need help with PC Suite use

Hello. I have a new Nokia 6233, and have installed the current version of PC Suite (6.84.10.4), but can't figure out how to make certain things work that seem like they should. I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack2, and am connecting my phone with my PC via Bluetooth.
1) I have installed an application using the Install Applications component of PC Suite, and it now shows that the new app is on the phone -- but how do I actually get it from showing up in that category on PC suite to the actual phone?
2) I have hundreds of phone numbers that migrated over poorly from my old Sony Ericsson via SIM, and would like to edit them on the PC instead of on the phone. However, I see nothing under Contacts in PC Suite. How do I get the PC to recognise the contacts on the phone? If I enter new ones on the PC, how do I get them to the actual phone?

Hi,
1) Do you mean that you can not find installed application from phone (or what)?
2) Try to update Contacts folder -> open Nokia Phone Browser > "phone name" > Contacts > and press F5 button.
Contacts folder includes also button for create a new contact and when you click "Save", it saves that in phone.
BTW: if you contacts are in SIM card -> you have to copy those first in phone memory.

Need help with ABAP coding using java

Dear experts,
I have used ABAP to code many reports/function modules.However as i know java quite well,i want to achieve the same using java.I have utilized JCO to retrieve information from RFC in this mission.
However i realized that i had to code all things using ABAP and use java only as interface to connect to
SAP fetch that module and display information on console.It was not that fun.
I want that i should not Login to SAP but work only using java.
I heard SAP Netweaver is a good choice.But i dont know much about it.Will i be able to develop reports only by java and how ?

One has to do with a HTTP client server connection. Also in the API documentation for the J2ME there is a Connector class that you used to set up this communication and in the description of this class it pretty thoroughly explains how to set up an HTTP protocol client.
However, if you want to do some other kind of networking then you are pretty much out of luck, as the TCPIP socket protocol has not been fully implemented and is optional to the J2ME specifications, only the HTTP protocol is certain to be available. This means that mobile phone companies can add other networking functionality to their phone's java virtual machine if they feel like it. This is a bummer I know.

Need help with creating trigger using instead of insert.

Hi all,
I am trying to create a trigger that can read the inserted Mail data from table1 and check if the Mail data matches the Mail data from table2. If the Mail data matches the Mail data from table2 it will get the EmpID from table2 and insert it into table1
column EmpID.
Here are table2 columns:
EmpID (int) Mail(varchar) Mail2(varchar)
101 [email protected] [email protected]
102 [email protected] [email protected]
table1 columns
EmpID (int)(primary key) Mail(varchar) Mail2(varchar)
If I insert [email protected] into table1 column Mail, I would like it to get the value for the EmpID from table2 before actually inserting the record into table1, by matching the Mail from table1 = Mail from table2.
I am using ASP.Net to insert the records into Mail and Mail2.
How can I achieve that?

There should be two SQL statements in the stored procedure in order to accomplish the task?
Ideally you need to include logic as a part of your insert procedure itself. You should have a standard insert stored procedure which should include this logic and should be used for all inserts.
Also if EmpID field has to have a non NULL value always you may better off creating a foreign key constraint from Table1 to Table2 on EmpID column to enforce the Referential Integrity.

Need help with Socket prog using Java wireless toolkit

Hi, I am not able to communicate between client (Palm emulator) and server (Java on computer) using Java Wireless toolkit.
Can anyone please tell me a site that shows an example. I have seen a bunch of examples but they all run by importing com.sun.kjava which seems to have vanished into thin air. So I cannot run them. Someone please show me some lines of code that will send just one character from client Palm emulator to server. thanks.

Need help with Backup Recovery using Rman - Point in Time.

Hi all,
I am trying to recover my database to a certain point in time. Here are the details below.
Oracle database version is. 11G R1. on 2 Node RAC. OS is AIX.
Database name is Sales.
Due to a mistake by the Application team, the database is written over by bad data. Now I have to restore the database in to a point in time, where the database was good.
For this, i took a whole (full) RMAN backup, everything, all the archivelog files and Controlfiles as well.
After doing this, i dropped the entire database. So now everything is clean.
Now i have to restore and recover the database to this point in time.. 03/16/2011 12:45:00
Please guide.
The backups are located at.. /backup/sales/rman/
I am trying various things, but each time i get the msg..
ORA-01507: database not mounted
I understand.. the reason for this message is the controlfile does not exist.. as the database is in mount mode. But as i said.. i have dropped the database in order to proceed with entire restoration.
But i have taken a whole backup.. which also includes the controlfiles + archivefiles.
Please guide.. with proper steps and commands.

Priror to start with restore and recovery - Try to restore the control file from backups "/backup/sales/rman/"
Then further you can mount the db and further carry on with recovery (catalog the backups prior to recovery)

Hi, sorry for my english but i am italian.
I've got a problem: i use java builder and i have a java program(this program has got a main and includes libraries) about graphich on tree, this program visualizes these trees and makes operations on these.
Now i must use JSP so that a client can see this program (this program is on the server) and can interact with it.
I can't use applet.I must use only jsp.
Who can tell me how can i start???

If you are not allowed to use an applet, then you are limited by what can be achieved with HTML in a browser.
You would have to figure out how to render it with HTML, then program your jsp to write out this html programatically.
