I am stuck on "accessing iTunes store" loop on Mac Pro...HELP!

Hi,
Can anyone out there assist with a stuck on "accessing iTunes store" loop?  I cannot purchase or download already purchased season passes. I have the latest itunes software. Navigatig the itunes store is not a problem.
Steps I've taken to resolve the issue thus far:
-restarting my mac pro
-signing out of itunes and signing back in (I could sign out but not sign back in.  Signing back in produced the same loop.)
-checked my itunes software, I have 11.0.2
-checked my Mac Book Pro software, I have version 10.8.3
All attempts have been unsuccessful.  Any help is much appreciated.  Thank you.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • Stuck at "Accessing iTunes store"

I've already rented several movies through my Apple TV without difficulty, but tonight it's been stuck at "Accessing iTunes Store" for 30 minutes now.
Although I hear a beep when I press buttons on the remote, the Apple TV doesn't move off this screen. Does anybody have any ideas, I guess I'll have to just unplug it and hope that I won't have been charged 4.99 for a rental that never even started to download.

not only that but once it reboots and you navigate to settings and then downloads it should show up there to download
the accessing itunes store screen also shows up when there are connectivity issues with your internet... i know it happens to me every now and again.

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Stuck in "Accessing iTunes Store" forever

ever since I updated to ATV 2.1, anytime I try to rent a movie, it gets stuck in the "Accessing iTunes Store" forever. I heard of people watching that screen for 10 minutes or so before going on, but I let it run for about 8 hours last night and still no joy.
I have been able to stream video podcasts, including recent ones.
Anybody having the same problem? Anyone have a solution?
    Thanks

Yeah this is a pretty messed up bug for a company that has shifted it's focus on consumer downloads. I unplug it and it works, but the next time it wont again... a continuously recurring problem.
It is seriously discouraging me from buying or renting anything, which is probably a good thing.

  • Stuck in "Accessing iTunes Store..."

    Hello!
I have two computers: one Apple iMac G5 and a new Apple MacBook Pro 15". In the Apple iMac G5 I can enter to the iTunes Store without problems, but when I try to enter with the Apple MacBook Pro 15", the iTunes stay stucked in the message "accessing iTunes Store..." and the advance bar stay near of the finish. I repaired my keychains and the problem is the same. Any idea?...I must reinstall my iTunes software?....and If this is the option, what archives I need to delete (preferences, library, etc. etc).

I have the exact same problem!
My advance bar stops about 1/4 of the way across. When I turned my computer on this morning, it worked once and I thought my problem was gone. I restarted iTunes though and it went back to its old ways. I thought that maybe it had to do with my internet connection, but that disproved that theory, as well as the fact that my fiancé's Toshiba can connect.
    Help!

  • ITunes stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store"

I posted in reply to a thread of complaints about this on the "iTunes for Mac" side but realized my error only afterwards and so am posting this here instead/as well; apologies for repetition, I have no idea what forum etiquette here is.
I'm running Windows 7, downloaded the latest version of iTunes available on the website. Whenever I try to open iTunes I get a dialogue box that says "Accessing iTunes Store" and a loading bar that just goes on and on indefinitely (I let it go on for an hour as an experiment). I can click nowhere else on the iTunes program except the "Stop" button on the dialogue box but then it just says "Canceling..." and goes on doing that indefinitely until I force-quit. I cannot access any part of the iTunes menu while it is unsuccessfully attempting to access the iTunes Store. I've tried to open the program with "Run as Administrator" with the exact same result of teeth-gnashing failure. The program is therefore completely non-functional and while I can still charge my old iPod, I cannot use iTunes to access any of the content ... which is unfortunate because the iPod itself is bugging out in an unrelated series of problems and probably needs a software update or a lobotomy or something. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall iTunes a couple of times now with the latest version, with no success there either. I'm not new to this program - I've had my old iPod Nano for years and have used iTunes steadily, if begrudgingly, since about 2007 without serious problems, have used the Store, etc.. This new "Accessing iTunes Store" is a recent development and it is crippling my ability to use the program or the hardware. Oh, and yes, it's the same result with the iPod is physically plugged in to the computer or not.
So how can I go about fixing this? Any help could be appreciated before my faithful-if-slightly-dumbfounded iPod takes a one-way trip to the electronics recycling facility and another company gets to have my money.

after trying everything I could find for 2 days, including turning on and off my firewall, my anti-virus program, resetting the winsock, authorize, deauthorize, and on and on I FINALLY saw one post by a guy that uninstalled Real Player and it fixed his problem.   That was a new suggestion, so I tried it and guess what?   IT WORKED.  Thank GOD!!!   This is a brand new computer so I was really frustrated.    I am running Windows 7 64 bit.   Hope the Real Player suggestion helps some other people.

  • Stuck on Accessing iTunes Store

I see that others are having issues with slow downloads. I can't even get the download to begin. It keeps saying, 'Accessing iTunes Store." Anyone else having this problem? My connection is fine, and I can see previews, trailers, etc. I just can't download.
    -anthony

I am getting this exact problem too. I can preview movies etc. but it when I go to buy something it says accessing itunes but then notheing else happens.
I've tested the connection etc and evrything is up to date and working. Anyone know why this is happening.
Also, I bought several movies and TV programmes on Apple TV next day I go to use my laptop (Macbook pro) but it says Computer is at risk of damage as too full because its synced all the movies from Apple TV to my laptop! I then erase them from my laptop but then they're also gone from my apple TV.
So far this product is driving me nuts and has been a complete waste of money. Thanks Apple for taking my money for films and then making it impossible for me to actually manage them!

  • When I turn on my computer,an error message says  "AppleSyncNotifier.exe-entry point not found The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll". Can't access itunes store, sync, buy etc. Help...

When I turn on my computer, an error message says "AppleSyncNotifier.exe-entry point not found. The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll"  Cannot access itunes store, sync phone, etc. Two weeks ago did this and Apple support had me remove and reinstall iTunes. Doing it again. Help....

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libmxl2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "libxml2.dll"
    3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Paste file "libxml2.dll" to the location.
    5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

  • Store is stuck at "accessing itunes store"

I went to buy the update that allows my four hundred dollars ipod touch do what it should have done in the first place and after the buy now button, it gets stuck on accessing the itunes store. It annoys me a little to give them ten bucks but it really annoys me that it is trying to eat up my day. If anyone knows anything about this problem, some help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded mine yesterday afternoon just after it was released. It did take two attempts thanks to some stupid terms of service stuff. Once it connected, it wasn't blazingly fast so i guess it took ten minutes or so to download (I would normally have expected a couple of minutes).
And yes, I would expect that Apple setup multiple servers to handle the update. I think it was worse for iPhone users as they had to reactivate their phones after the update - and the activation server was overloaded for hours.

  • Can't access iTunes store from old mac running os 10.4

Hi...  I have an Mac G4 (PowerPC) running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger).  It's running the most current version of iTunes that was supported by that OS version.  I'm getting rid of that old machine soon and all I wanted to do was de-authorize iTunes from that computer.  The computer is clearly connected to the Internet but when I open iTunes and try to get it to connect to the iTunes Store, it constantly says an error occurred and it then says to check to see that the computer is connected to the network.
Any ideas why I can't connect to iTunes???  I clearly know the login information so that's not the problem.  Is the iTunes store no longer supporting OS X Tiger or something like that???
On a related question, I see where I can de-authorize all computers from another computer and then reauthorize on the couple of computers where I still want to be able to use iTunes and the store.  Is there any danger with this deauthorize and then reauthorize concept???  Do I risk losing anything on the computers I still want to be authorize to access iTunes???
Any help would be much appreciated...  thanks... bob...

I don't know the answer to the first part (why you can't get to iTunes through Tiger), but regarding the second part, deauthorizing will not cause you to lose any information.  While deauthorized, you won't be able to access some information, but it won't be erased or removed.
