I am thinking of buying an imac presently using a PC with photoshop 7.0. Can I change over and how much does it cost.
I am thinking of changing over from the "PC" system to an Imac. Presently we have Photoshop 7.0 and would like to know if we can cross change? and how much it would cost. I found trying to contact Adobe directly using a phone, very frustrating, if not impossible? I got caught up in an endless circle, even though I tried different.choices each time.

I know that the program is old, however it was expensive to buy and I am really familiar with how it works, so that's why I would like to be able to do the cross over.
I don't work for Adobe but I can respond to a couple of your questions with certainty:
There is no upgrade (or crossgrade) path from Photoshop 7 Win to Photoshop 7 for Mac. That window closed many years ago.
Photoshop 7.0 will not run on modern Intel-based Macs. It was written for old PowerPC based Macs and the code will not run on Intel chips without Rosetta which is no longer available in current OS X operating systems.

Hi, in my opinion it's best to use that laptop as is and upgrade next year. On top of that the cpu is running at 1.6Ghz which isn't very fast.
Nonetheless, there are a few 4GB sticks for laptops. Not all laptops dimm slots support 4GB in each but yours does and that's a good thing. Only downside to this ram stick is the price. Very expensive.

No, I do not believe you can buy a Verizon 9650 Blackberry unlocked directly from Verizon. Your best option is to buy the phone locked and obtain an unlock code from an online vendor (Horizon Wireless?) for a small fee.
The other alternative is to buy a Sprint branded 9650 Blackberry. I am pretty sure they are unlocked at purchase. -
It seems like I just missed the interval for the hard disk replacement program. I purchased in March 2009 a 24 inch Intel iMac . How much does it cost to have apple support at an Apple Store replace a hard drive?
My hard drive continually has the floating beach ball and will take massive time to fulfill a request. And then will not boot up...so then I have to do a restore and rebuild hard drive from a past saved time machine version. Works for a little bit...then the floating beachball comes more and more...until it will not boot up again. So then I restore from a previous time machine saved version....and again it works for a day or so ... until it happens again. Now it's happening faster and faster...so I think my hard drive is dying.

This is one instance where you'll curse yourself for not having bought the AppleCare Warranty extension and gotten the board for free.
Anyway, get your model number handy and go look up the parts in www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com amongst other places. They've also have videos or photo pictorials on how to do the replacement. Not altogether trivial, be sure to spread the adequate amount of thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, else you'll fry the new board in short order again. -

If it was accidental, your one year limited warranty may cover a replacment screen.
Otherwise, it's impossible to say what the charges would be.
