As far as I know there is no US cell carrier that allows pay as you go with an iPhone. You can purchase an unlocked iPhone 4S at an Apple Store and try it with a non-supported carrier.

  • Hello, I'd like to know, if I buy an iphone 5s in us, can I use it in France, and if it's not ok in France, can I be refund ou change it in a French Apple Store?

If you purchase an unlocked iPhone in the US, you certainly can use it in France.  Not a very smart idea, however, because it's not guaranteed to support the LTE bands in Europe, and if there's a problem with the phone, you will have to either bring the phone back to the US yourself, or send it to someone you know in the US to bring it in to Apple for evaluation.  The iPhone warranty is NOT international.
You cannot refund or exchange a US iPhone in a French Apple Store.
You will be doing yourself a big favor to purchase your phone in France.

  • I buy 01 Iphone 5s t-Mobile, can i use At vietnam

    I buy 01 Iphone 5s t-Mobile, can i use At vietnam

If the device is not locked to a carrier (contract free is NOT the same as being unlocked) then it will work with any supported GSM carrier world wide.
Keep in mind that warranty and support are not International.

  • If I Buy an iPhone 5 In Singapour, CAN I use it In Europe?

If I Buy an iPhone 5 In Singapour, CAN I use it In Europe?

The only officially unlocked iPhone 5 model, sold in the US, is the A1428 GSM model. Not only will your warranty support only be valid in the US, but the phone will not support LTE anywhere other than North America.
Doubt you'll save much, if any, money by the time you pay tax & duty fees. Seems like a poor idea to me.

  • Why can't I use a pre paid sim in my iphone that previously had a plan

I have given my iphone 3g to my daughter and she is unable to use hervodaphone pre paid sim card in it.
is it locked to telstra ?
Is it because I was previously on a plan?

Is this a MasterCard credit card issued to you by a bank in the country in which you legally reside, a MasterCard debit card issued to you by a bank in the country in which you legally reside in connection with a demand deposit account (checking/savings) that you maintain in that bank and have a verifiable billing address in that same country or is this a prepaid MasterCard debit card that you bought from a local store?

  • HT1937 If I buy a iphone 5 in Cambodia can I use in other countries

If I buy an I phone 5 in Cambodia have it unlocked can I use it in Australia

If you buy a fully unlocked iPhone directly from Apple, then yes, you can use it in either country, but what you also need to bear in mind is the LTE and 4G issues - if you purchase in one country you won't get LTE and 4G in the other and vice versa.
Also, there is the subject of the warranty - iPhone warranty is NOT international, so if you buy in Australia and something happens to the phone, you have to go back to Australia to get it fixed and vice versa for Cambodia.
The best advice is to buy a phone from the country that you want to use it is - so if you live and spend most time in Australia, then buy a phone in Australia and vice versa.

  • How do I get the iPod on my iPhone for to allow AirPlay with my bluetooth in my car?  The phone will connect but not the iPod in AirPlay.

I am able to connect my iPhone 4 phone to receive and make calls but unable to connect the iPod to Bluetooth using AirPlay. The symbol came up once, I changed it to speakers and the option never appeared again.

"unable to connect the iPod to Bluetooth using AirPlay."
That is correct as this is not what airplay does at all.  Airplay works only with airplay enabled device vis WI-FI ( Apple TV, airport express)
"With AirPlay, you can wirelessly stream videos, music, and photos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to Apple TV (2nd generation) and stream music to AirPlay speakers or receivers, including AirPort Express."
    Using AirPlay

  • I used a pre paid visa for the App Store

I used a pre paid visa in the App Store now that card has run out I cannot update apps or get any free apps without the update billing info popping up I have seen other answers where it says to change the settings and such where you change the type of card to "none" I don't have that option just the mc, visa, Amex please help!!

No.   Your pre paid visa and your ID are not mutually dependant.   Using the app store like opening a bank account has certain rules; we all have to follow them.
You certainly don't have to have a new ID each time; if you buy a new card you could edit the details.

  • I have an iPhone 5 from India. I am going to USA for studying. Can I use the same iPhone over there or I will have to buy a new one?

If officially unlocked, you can purchase a sim from one of the two nationwide GSM carriers, AT&T or T-Mobile. However, AFAIK, none of the carriers in India offer unlocking for the iPhone. Thus, if your phone is carrier locked, the only way it will work in the US is roaming...that would cost a fortune.
So, if you have a carrier locked iPhone, leave it home or sell it before you come to the US, then purchase an officially unlocked iPhone, from Apple, when you get to the US. You'll be able to use that phone in India when you go back.

  • I would like to buy an iPhone for my friend in Iceland.  Two questions: will the phone work with complete utility in Iceland, and if so, what should I do to confirgure it while in the USA so that it can have full utility in Iceland?

I would like to buy an iPhone for my friend in Iceland.  Two questions: will the phone work with complete utility in Iceland, and if so, what should I do to confirgure it while in the USA so that it can have full utility in Iceland?

Bad idea. There are no supported iPhone carriers in Iceland, thus some features may or may not work. Further, there will be no warranty or support for a US purchased iPhone in Iceland...your friend will be on their own. If you still want to go down this road, make sure you purchase an officially unlocked iPhone(GSM model) directly from Apple.

  • As I heard, If i get an unlocked iphone 5s, I can use it with my Wind Mobile which i have to have a $40 monthly plan for it. So, I want to buy an Iphone 5s that I can use it here with Wind Mobile and in turkey with my turkish line tht supoprts Iphone.

So, I want to buy an Iphone 5s that I can use it here with Wind Mobile and in turkey with my turkish line that supports Iphone. So, is it possible that I can purchase an Iphone 5s that will be usable within Canada and Turkey? Im asking because, In Turkey, you need to register the Imei of the phone on your Passport to use it. Also, if i buy an unlocked Iphone 5s, will I be down to use it anywhere with any line?

I dont know if you know the procedure in Canada and Turkey. Wind mobile wasnt supporting Iphones until they decided to let people use Iphone 5s with their $40 plan. And as i know, Turkey is the only country that asks you to register the imei on your passport to use it. So, most of people did not know it. so procedures are changing country by country. Are you sure that If I buy an Iphone 5s from a canadian apple store, use it with my wind mobile line and the turkish line in Turkey?

  • I am thinking of buying a iPad but my main desktop machine uses Windows 7 and MS Office.  How easy or difficult is it to transfer data files between the iPad and Windows?  Are there obvious problems or the need for some form of conversion programs?

    Many thanks for any advice.
    David

You don't need conversion programs, iTunes can copy most of your content over to the iPad via the file sharing section, and some apps also support Dropbox, email attachments, transfer via your wifi network. There are a number of apps that you can get that support Microsoft office file (microsoft don't make an app versions of their software) e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word support), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint), and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD
