I am translating a book and need a "w" with a tilde

It's unusual and I've looked through glyphs for many fonts unsuccessfully.
Any ideas?

Are you sure it's a tilde? It could be a circumflex, which appears in quite a few fonts (seen below in Cambria and Arial).
If it's definitely a tilde, you may have to hack it.

I've just came on board from Andriod and need massive help with the Contacts application any one out there willing to help the 'noob'?

I had the folks at the store port over all of my contacts from my old
ratty Andriod phone to my new shiny iPhone.
however all 200+ of my contacts sort of "shook" out,
meaning say John Smith, on my old phone,
had in my contacts the following:
John Smith
123 Main St. Anytown, Anystate USA
555-826-4879 home
555-799-4247 cell
[email protected]
johnsmith@facebook
all nice and neat on my andriod but when it ported over
all that information was just scattered all over my contacts sort of like:
john smith, smith john
john smith 123 main st. etc.
johhn smith home 555 etc.
john smith cell 555 etc.
john smith johnsmith@ etc.
etc.
so for all those 200+ contacts in my phone, I've got a zillion of them now...
so I'd like to get this all back in order before I and Siri explode.
I know nothing, and I know even less about outlook and the sort.
But I do know I am in Dire need of help with this... I figured that eveything else
involving iphones and apple in general was supposed to be cake but it seems
like this is the only thing that isn't cake at all... unless, I'm just a right idiot. (which is possible, hence spelling and grammatical issues).

I believe I've tried to sync it with google, but it didn't seem to take
muchless take my calender. it seems to favor my facebook calender
more over my google calender, but Siri seems to be helping me re-write
it...but that's not the game here, it's the contacts. I've tried to export
the cvp (??) list and import it into my iTunes account. However, It only
doubled my issue because it didn't over write my existing contacts.

I am having an issue and need to speak with a customer service rep.

I resently bought a Sony TV, it came with the TV the remote and batteries, a reference guide witch nothing was packaged, I also recieved the stand but no screws or hardware. I spoke with a rep ( Fermin) who gave me wrong info and sent me 1 screw, I then called back and spoke with another rep ( Eco) who was helpful in finding the parts and hardware that I needed, but what I recieved was the screws but no brackets ( witch ia called the neck). I called again and spoke with James who transfered my to Mel who told me she ordered the brackets for me and said it is to be expodited for a 2 day shipping, witch should have gotten here yesterday ( 8/6/15), but no shipment. I then called again today and spoke with Stewart who was able to tell me that the part was not in stock and I would have to wait another 7 to 10 business days. This is not fear for a customer to go though this on a TV that was manufactured in April 2015, I need to speak with someone on this issue being it is still not resolved, I also need some kind of compensation on this matter being I cannot return this TV given the time I have spent with Sony. I have a reference # E61563317 to back up all of my claims. I wish to be contacted on this matter or I will go public cause I am very upset at this.

I have an Iphone OS 4.3.3 and need to update with a different library than the original.

I have an Iphone OS 4.3.3 and need to update. I have not done so since the first Itunes library used to setup my phone was done on a friend's computer and is not longer available for me. Loading to a different library requires me to erase the contents before updating. I have already come to terms with the disappointing reality of losing my media, however, will my text message history, phone contacts/numbers, notes saved in the basic built-in notes app or ANYTHING else be effected or wiped during this process? Does the backup function secure this data even though I'm using a different Library?
Hoping there's anyone with a promising answer to this concern.

I ordered 5 books and a rental movie with a gift card The movie will not download and I have not received my books. When or how long does this all take. I am a first time user!

Wow.......You plug the 30 pin connector to the botton of your iPad and the USB to the USB port on your computer.
But first, you can download the movie and books to your iTunes account without having your iPad connected. After you've downloaded the material, then you connect your iPad and sync it all over.
I'm sorry I have to sign off. I have to be up like 6 hours. I'll check in tomorrow and see if you made any progress.
If nothing else, this will get your iPad and your iTunes account speaking again. They should be regularly connected and your iPad routinely backed up.
One more thing. If it's been a while since you even opened iTunes on your PC, make sure you check for iTunes downloads and update iTunes with the latest version.

Hi, ninamarie. Apparently you are downloading files in one or more file formats that no application installed on your computer is able to read. Examples of such files are any whose names end in .exe (applications that run only on Microsoft Windows computers) or .dmg (disk images for use only on Macs running OS X), as well as many others. If you have downloaded any version of Safari, just trash it, because it is of no possible use to you in OS 9.1.
Many of the sites where you can send and receive webmail for free no longer support any web browser that can run in the eight-year-old OS 9.x. A good many other web sites that are not used for emailing also fail to load in those old browsers. It may be difficult or impossible for you to find a browser that you can use in OS 9 for every web site that is of interest to you, and it will certainly not be possible to find an OS 9-compatible browser that opens all current web sites.
The last, best browser I used in OS 9, nearly four years ago now, was WAMCom Mozilla 1.3.1. Download the OS 8.6-9.x version from this page and give it a try:

Synching Address Book and iCal to iCloud with Snow Leopard

My Macbook Pro is not capable of upgrading to Mountain Lion, as it only has a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor. Ever since Apple retired iDisk over the summer, my Macbook has not been able to sync the Address Book or iCal with iCloud's Contacts or Calendar. I am still running OS 10.6.8. Does anyone know of any way to get Snow Leopard to sync with iCloud?

I also found these directions for Princeton's 2010 Exchange that might help. Did he set up the Address contacts & iCal Calenders were enabled when setting up the account in Mail?

New to iCloud and need help please with getting it working

I've got an iPad 2 and an iPhone 5 and have decided that it's about time to set up iCloud on my devices. I have followed the instructions on the website and in the icloud settings on both devices have switched on mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, safari, notes, photostream (my photo stream-on), documents and data, find my iphone, and icloud backup on. I have ensured that both devices have been backed up and automatic downloads on iTunes & App stores have all been switched on.
I have not yet set up my PC for iCloud.
My understanding is that icloud will sync new downloads and photos etc so I have just tried taking a picture on my iphone, expecting it to appear in my camera roll on my iPad and nothing has happened.
Please can someone advise me if I am doing something wrong or how to resolve this.

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Address Book and Entourage 2008 - Problem with sync services in Entourage

Hi, all. Have had sync services working (I think) for some time but had duplicate contacts in Entourage from the syncing between in and Address Book. Turned off sync services in Entourage 2008, deleted all contacts in Entourage, then turned the services back on telling Entourage to delete Entourage info (instead of the other way around or merging).
Now I can't get any syncing to take place. And when I select the lone contact for me (that you have to have) and choose View, Synchronize Now is greyed out and can't be selected.
Any thoughts why syncing isn't working?

P.S. I tried to change the setting to combine instead of delete Entourage info and that had the same (non) effect.

I had a similar issue. I was able to sync my iPhone back to my Mac and that restored the addresses although all the categorization was lost. I have no idea why this happened to you.

Brand new to the Mac World and NEED SOME HELP with startup disk issues

Hello everyone. I am a new Mac user and I purchased my mac on ebay. It's an iMac that came with tiger 10.4.11. I wanted to get a fresh start on the computer, since the person who had it before me did not erase all of his stuff. I didn't know what to do so I got a startup disk/install disk off ebay also. When I go to install it says "software cannot be installed on this computer." Before I bought the software, I had called the apple store and they said it should be fine to buy any install software to put on the computer. If I could get any help it would be appreciated. I had read previous threads that I should hold down c when I start up (didn't work) or that I should select archive or erase and install (I never got these options when I went to install).

What iMac is it? I only ask as the Retail Tiger CD/DVDs don't work on IntelMacs, only PPC, (G3, G4, G5 Macs).
Sorry what you were told by the Apple Store, but if it's a Gray CD/DVD then it is Machine specific as Neil stated.

I began getting popups for Microsoft malware alerts/Mackeeper zeobits/and othe ads. I am on a Mac OS 8.5.
I downloaded virus protection, adware protection and ran them all and got nothing. Then I got a phoney call from the "microsoft technicians, so called Applecare and they told me what files to search for if it was Safari and suggested I contact Firefox. Below are the files we search for on my hard drive, but because I use Firefox

How to remove pound values (#) in bex and need to replace with Blank

In Business Explorer Query Designer ,If the data of an infoobject is initial, it will display as pound(#) in reports.I want to remove the pound(#) symbol as BLANK , what can i do ? Can anyone help me ?
