  • I have the newest IPad and want to download photos from my computer to the IPad.  The instructions say to put photos under My Pictures, but I have thousands of photos in that category.  I don't want to download all my photos, just the newest ones.  Help!

I have the newest IPad and want to download photos from my computer.  However, I have thousands of photos stored under My Pictures on my desktop.  How can I transfer just the newest album to my IPad?  I'm afraid that all the photos will be downloaded.  Please advise.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

There's  some apps that will transfer via wifi. Using these apps may be the easiest way of transferring your Photos and Videos to your computer and other iOS devices.

Can I transfer photos from my iphone to my computer for free

Photos taken with your iPhone camera are synced using iTunes. You can see instructions here: iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer

  • When I try to transfer photos from my iphone to my ipad the transfer stops after a few photos and after a few minutes i get a box saying transfer failed (in dutch)

I tried re-installing iphoto and changing the settings for adding location to the photo.
I want to transfer the photos from my iphone 4s to the ipad (the new) via wifi uding iphoto.

You should not do anything else without testing import from your memory card (or cards) when using a card reader and not connecting to the camera.  Connecting to the camera should be avoided when possible, anyway.  See:

  • My iPad is ios8 and my iPhone is ios7. I want to get photos from my iPhone into the photostream. Can I?

How can I get photos taken with my ios7 iPhone into my iCloud photostream which is ios8?

If you look at the link that Old Toad posted and scroll down to the section "Minimum system requirements by feature", you'll see, that you can use iCloud to transfer your photos from iOS 7 devices:
To use iCloud, you need at least iOS 5 on iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPad, or iPad mini; or at least OS X Lion v10.7.5 on a Mac.
iCloud Photo Sharing works with iOS7, see: iCloud: Using and troubleshooting Shared Photo Streams

  • Is it possible to transfer photos from (non-iPhone) camera to iPad?

I need a backup for my Sony point-and-shoot while travelling, but don't want to lug my MBP along just to download photos to it.  Is there any way (without Wi-Fi or internet connection) to connect my camera to the iPad and transfer photos?

There is the camera connection kit (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MjE4ODE2ODk) which comes with an SD card reader and a USB to micro-usb cable for connection to a camera for direct transfer of photos (I have seen some people say that it doesn't work with their camera so I can't guarantee that it will work with yours).
As it's a Sony I assume that it uses sony memory stick and not SD cards ? Some people have been able to use other card readers with the kit, but generally only powered readers work with it (and then not all of them) as the iPad does not provide enough power to the kit for most non-powered ones to work. If the camera has a micro-usb socket then you should be able to use that for direct transfer.

  • Easiest way to transfer photos from my iphone to my ipad?

Im trying to figure out how to transfer the 3000+ pics on my iphone to my ipad.  What is the easiest way to do this?

If you meet the requirements you can use AirDrop. See here: Use AirDrop to wirelessly share content - Apple Support
Or you could use an App like Photo Transfer to move the photos:

  • If i have purchased extra storage on the icould and i sent my photos from my iphone to the cloud can i delete the photos from my phone and still have them available?

    please help me

No.  If you delete them from your phone, they will also be deleted from iCloud.  You can't really use iCloud to free up space on your phone because anything you put in iCloud will also be on your phone (except your backup).  If you want to be able to access your photos on the web without storing them on your phone, upload them to a service that is designed for that (Flikr, Smugmug, etc.).

  • How do I transfer photos from my iPhone 4 to my iPad 3 via Bluetooth?

I want to transfer photos from my iPhone 4 that is still running on iOS6, to my iPad 3gen that's running on iOS7. How do I do it? Do I need to download an app to facilitate the transfer and if so, which is the best app to use?

    Carolyn,
Once again, I see you're giving out false information. Please refrain from replying to threads where you do not know the answer. It doesn't help anyone.
Photos CAN be transferred between iOS devices via Bluetooth. There are dozens of apps in the AppStore for doing just that. Just search the AppStore for "bluetooth photo" to find them.

  • How do i transfer photos from my iphone to icloud to free up space?

How do I transfer photos from my iphone to the icloud so I can free up space?

You can't use iCloud to store your photos in order to free up space on your phone.  The only photos in iCloud other than the ones stored in your backup are photo stream photos.   And when you use photo stream your photo stream photos will still be stored on your phone.  In other words, you can't post your photos in iCloud and view them from there without having them stored on your phone.  There are many other photo hosting services that provide this (such as Flikr, Smugmug, Picassa and others).
