While I am loading the data from R/3 I am facing the following error in Production..
Info IDoc 2 : sent, not arrived ; Error passing data to port
when I checked in SM59 every thing seems fine like RFC test connection and authorization check
In BW is check the Source system saying it is Ok.
Only the thing I found here is in TRFC, it is error when opening RFC Connection.
but it is different in SM59 saying every thing is ok, as said above..
Please help me in this regard

Outbound IDOC( Error passing data to port)

Hi,
We have an interface running daily configured such that the idocs are converted to files and placed on a directory path.
All the idocs are processed successfully but for one hour the idocs failed and the error message says:
Status: Error passing data to port
Error at OPEN (Directory path) with operating system error msg.:No such file or directory.
The missed data from the error idocs have been sent via PFAL.
But again after this one hour the idocs were successfully posted for the same directory path.
Please let me know what the issue can be here or how can we avoid this.

*Some times it may happen that IDOC doesnt reach to the port , in case if you are using Transactional RFC port so*
*you can use the report RSEOUT00 for sending the IDOC to port .*

IDoc Status 02 Error passing data to port

Hi Experts,
I wrote a custome program to send customer via HTTP XML port. This program collects customer and send in single IDoc as per specified batch size.eg if batch size is 5 then 5 custome will be send in one IDoc. On devlopment environment it was working fine upto batch size 500. In quality single customer is transfering successfully but while selecting a batch size arround 100 it is displaying error 'Error passing data to port' with status 02.
Please help me to be out of this.

status 02 is Error passing data to port ...it simply means your port setting has some problem. do configure your port setting and also in partner profile

Idoc error -- ' error passing data to port - status 02'

      The IDoc gets created with error status 02. The error occured in the
production system. We have not got this error for the last 7 months since we went live and we have not made any changes either.
      The following is the error message that i get,

Diagnosis
An error occurred when an outbound file was opened with 'OPEN DATASET'. The name of the outbound file is:

Procedure
1. Check whether the directory exists and is linked for the SAP System.
2. If yes, check whether there is any space in the file system.
3. If the file already exists, check the authorization and the owner.</b>
Has it got anything to do with the year beginning ?

    I processed the errored idocs from tcode bd87, it got processed successfully.
Can you tell me how to check,
1. If the disk space is full or not.
2. Authorization for the user.

Reg : change pointer mechanism for triggering the IDOC for delivery note

Hi ,
I am working on a change pointer mechanism for triggering the IDOC for delivery note and will be using this message class DESADV.
So SAP has suggested for assigning the message class DESADV with the function module in MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV in BD60 transaction code.
So I was looking to create this MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV function module in SAP and SAP suggesting that we should create this MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV function module as same as the function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_MATMAS.
So do anyone knows that is there any tool has been provided by SAP for creating this function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DESADV in SAP system for triggering the change pointer mechanism for outbound Delivery.

Hi,
When you are change pointer the system itself will take care of sending the changed master data to your partner system and the user will not have any intervention. If you really wanted to have that then you need to use the change pointers to read the master data which is modified in a custom program and then display that on the screen. Once the user selects that master data records then trigger an IDOC for creating the idoc for that master data and also flag that master data record as processed in the SAP BDCPS standard table, so that the same record will not be picked. If you wanted to know how the change pointers piece of code is written go through the program RBDMIDOC and you can understand how the change pointers logic is written.

Hi Pradipta,
You can use the change pointers for this. Just check for what fields you want to trigger an IDOC. But this can not be triggered immediately. You have to run RBDMIDOC frequently. It will take the input as messaeg type and generate the IDOCs.
Before that please check if the change pointers are activated for this message type or not.

Triggering an idoc for Quotation

Dear experts,
I am beginner to ALE & idocs.I want to see how ALE works by triggering idoc for quotation viewed through VA23.
I want to transfer a single quotation between y Development logical clients.
Configuration is done in SALE.
Basic type is ACC_SALES_QUOTA01
Messagetype is ACC_SALES_QUOTA
E1BPACCRSO and E1BPACSQ00 are segment types.
I can also see the documentation of same in WE62
Function module in WE57 is BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 and BAPI_IDOC_INPUTP ie two different for same basic and message type .
My first question is why so ?.Which will triggger .?
in WE41/WE42 how will i know for given functionmodule which process code is assigned?.
How can i know whether this basic type is an inbound idoc or outbound idoc or any idoc basic type can be used as outbound and inbound ?.I am little confused as i am new to ALE & idocs.
If i assume that any idoc can have any direction ie inbound as well as outbound then i should have process codes in WE41 as well as WE42 ,which is not true here.

WE41 refers to outbound process codes and WE42 refers to inbound process codes.
for quotation use SD12 process code for outbound.

Problem monitoring idoc for some interface

Hi all
I have implemented the "Business process Monitoring" to monitor 10 interfaces.
The communication is between SAP Pi and SAP ECC. SAP PI send idocs type acc_document to SAP ECC. I would to monitor the status of inbound-idoc in SAP ECC System for all interface so I have created 10 Customize Monitoring Object in SAP ECC with transaction BDMO using for the filed
u201CMessage Typeu201D acc_document. The problem is that all interfaces use acc_document so if the idoc of interface 1 generate the error this error is detect to all interface. So, how can I monitor those interfaces correctly?

Is it impossible to distinguish IDOC content by partner number ?
By the way, it seems you use old technique. In latest BPMon, you can use application monitor for IDoc monitoring.

Problem in triggerring EDI idoc for Purchase order..

Hi experts,
I am trying to create an outbound EDI IDOC for a PO.
I have configured the partner profile in partner type LI with message type ORDERS in outbound parameters. I have created a new output type ZEDI for EDI, and entered in a message control, as application EF, message type ZEDI and process code ME10.
But when i go to the me23n and goto--> messages, but when i click F4 for output type i am not able to see the new output type ZEDI i have created.
And if i also enter NEU with medium EDI, and Partner function VN, and partner 3000(where i configured the parnter profiles), its giving an error as, "maintain outgoing EDI-connection data for partner 3000".
Kindly help me out. please experts reply me..

Hi varun,
in SAP you have a few keys that not only have a description depending on language but also the key itself varies from language to language. You can see that if you double-click on a unit field like i.e. MARA-MEINS: On domain level it will show a conversion exit. If you try the conversion exit function modules, you will find out that i.e. PC english pieces will be mapped to internal ST wich comes from the german Stück which is the translation of pieces.
Be aware that this special logic may apply for document types, partner types and a few more (?).
So, in IDoc processing this may cause harm. I did not analyze DELVRY03 structure and processing, I don't know any of your data, I haven't seen any line of your code, I don't know what you actually implemented.
So now it is your turn to check what you pass in the unit fields and how this is handled.

Idoc to SOAP Interface error.

Scenario is Idoc to SOAP ..
New to SOAP scenario -- so could anyone please help me out..
Here everything is good at PI, the problem we are facing is at the target system the payload is not getting delivered at the specified URL in SOAP receiver communication channel.
When i trigger the Idoc from ECC it is successful when i see in SXMb_moni of PI and when i see the status of receiver comm channel (RWB --> Adapter Engine --> Communication Channel Monitoring --> Receiver SOAP Adapter ) there the status is green and i could see the message id.
Here my doubts is there any possiblity of getting that URL from the message id which i see in the RWB --> Adapter Engine --> Communication Channel Monitoring --> Receiver SOAP Adapter
How to check whether that particular URL is working fine or not.

Is URL present in the message id ..
i see the message iD in RWB--> Adapter Engine --> Comm channel Monitoring --> SoAP Receive Adapter..
When i open the message id there i see the message content tab in that we have 2 options soap conent & payload.
payload is the data which will be delivered to the target system..
Soap Content has the sender system and Receiver system details -- But i just want to know whether this soap content will have the target URL..
and when i checked in SXMB_MONI even i couldn't find the target URL anywhere.
But client is asking me to get the URL from the message id.

I have checked MATMAS0x but I am not sure if those IDOCs match with my requirement.
