  • Enocore CS5 error when trying to burn to blue ray disc

My project consists of 4 AVCHD clips imported separately into Encore as timelines and then I deleted the timelines to keep just these assets.  I built a new timeline and added these three clips to this timeline.  Three of the AVCHD clips are on the timeline with a total time of about 3:30.  The fourth is a 30 second clip used for the motion menu  background.  The file size is 22.95 GB.  There are 39 chapters in the project, the top page (page 0) has three buttons linking to chapters 1, 21, and 30 (the start of each of the clips).  The other pages of the menu have 6 video buttons per page linked to chapters.  All of the clips when highlighted will lead to the project setting "Do Not Transcode" (which is what I want) and I am buring this to a 25GB blu ray disc.  When I checked the project everything seemed okay- no error messages.  I then went to build the disc and after about 20 minutes I got the following error message:
    "Blu-Ray Object: "<Menu>NTSC_FISH top menu",Error:"device error",Code: "2",
Note: "Too many primary video streams in clip (Spec Table 9-3,Annex B)"
The menu name is NTSC_FISH topmenu.  Any ideas what the problem is and how I can fix this?

I went to the original motion menu source and saved it as Microsoft AVI (file name:    Premiere pro avi for menu.avi) instead of AVCHD hoping that might help and then brought that file into Encore and linked that as the motion video for the top menu (the other menus don't have a motion background). I tried to animate the buttons for all the menu pages.  When I click on the Premiere Pro avi for menu.avi asset the options show for DVD Transcode automatic and for Blu Ray Automatic (for transcoding).  The file shows as 720X576 and it is 34 seconds long.  The top menu is checked to animate buttons and I can uncheck it if I want, the submenus-start at page 1- have the animate buttons grayed out but checked and I can't uncheck these even if I wanted to. When I tried to burn this to disc, it got further along- burning 13.15 gb to disc and then I got the following error message:
Blu-ray error:File already exists",Code:"6", Note:Video buffer underflows. Total bitrate is too high near time = 1321.253267 seconds-
I am running Windows 7 64 bit, 2.4 ghz processor Quad core, 6 gb of memory and 69.1 gb free on my external hard drive and 29.7 gb free on my c drive.  I have an NVIDIA GE force 8500T card.  Any ideas?

  • No option to select Blu-Ray folder as source when trying to burn to Blu-ray disc

    Hello,
I've created a project at home that I want to put on Blu-Ray. At home I don't have a Blu-Ray burner so I created a Blu-Ray Folder in Encore and brought over to a friends house to burn using Encore. But in Encore it doesn't have the option to select Blu-Ray Folder as a Source, only current project or disc image. I know when doing this with a DVD it gives the option for current project, disc image AND DVD folder. Why not for Blu-Ray? Anything I can do with out having to redo as a Blu-Ray disc image? Thank you

Can't speak for Blu-ray, but with DVD, it is very important that the disc be burned as "DVD Video". For instance in Windows, if you simply drag the VIDEO_TS folder to a blank disc and burn as "Data", it is not going to play in most DVD players.
A computer will usually recognize the content of the disc as being DVD material and will likely play it. But DVD players are expecting a disc formatted a certain way, which a data disc is NOT, and therefore will not play the "data" disc.
A lot of the newer DVD players will play more types of media, such as MP3 and stuff, so possibly more of them would now recognize a VIDEO_TS folder on a data disc, but to do it right, you must burn as a DVD Video.
Most disc burning software will offer options of "DATA" or "DVD VIDEO" because there IS a difference in track layout, and there is special info written to disc that identifies it as a "DVD" also.
In the case of creating a Disc Image, or .iso file, from Encore, then that is a "snapshot" of the DVD with all the right stuff in place, so any software that can use an .iso will make a proper DVD. But again, you cannot just burn the .iso file straight to a disc as data, the software must be capable of creating a disc from an Image.
    Hope this makes sense
    Thanks

  • Trying to Burn a Blue Ray dics.  Debating on Buying FCP package

I am new to Mac this year. I left the PC world because I thought Apple was supposed to be dominant on the video editing/authoring front. I learned how to Burn a blue ray disc about 1 year ago on a pc in about 1 day. Used My Sony Viao to import Sony HDR-HC3 footage. Edited with Vegas Movie Studio and Authored a yes......actual Blue Ray Disc with DVDit Pro HD. So simple; but slow. My laptop was one of the 1st to have a BR burner. So I bought a new desktop this year and switched to Apple. Why is this such a mystery to make a Blue Ray Disc with my new IMAC. And then I find that my FCE coverts my imported files to Apples AIC codec which are just huge files. This is so frustrating. I am not George Lucas or Steven Speilberg over here. I just want to burn my HD content to Blue Ray. I have waited a year for the technology to get better. Should I Go back to PC?? Should I put my HD Tapes away for another few years and see where technology is then? I am so frustrated. Any advice would be great. I will even pay the $1000 for FCPro. But from what I am reading out there I think I will end up regretting it. Everyone talks about burning your HD content back to DVD!!!! WHY!!!!!

First, the net doesn't have the infrastructure to support file sizes like that en mass.
10 years ago, the net didn't have the infrastructure to move significant video, now it streams it quite nicely. In 5 more years, it will stream most anything you want. Perhaps not in real time, but with a little buffering, it will easily work.
Let just put this rumor that we physical media will be obsolete in 10 years to bed right now.
Why? What real evidence can you put out there to support this premise other than giant media companies have a vested financial interest in maintaining the status quo. We know how well THAT has worked for <name your industry> where the world changed and they did nothing to stay ahead of it.
The Studios dictate what and how we will watch....period!
Yes, they do right now, and so did the record companies then. And now the record companies don't.
And whats wrong with Blu Ray? If you buy an HD set why not buy a BD player too. I waited too long for HD to come to the living room.
I'm still waiting for something worth watching to show up in my living room. Watching bad acting, indifferent lighting and skin problems writ large (which is the staple of most content) is not my idea of an enhanced viewing experience. A small screen (or YouTube) is a much better (more appropriate) venue for most of this stuff.
If I want a "cinema experience", I go to the cinema.
    Enjoy your big screen.

  • Can not burn a Blu-ray disc

The problem: Can not burn a Blu-ray disc.
I open Premiere Elements 12 and load my project and then go to “publish and share” my project, I select "create Disc – Burn DVD, Blu-ray and AVCHD disc", I select "Blu-ray", the disc location and settings box opens and the “status” setting indicates "Media not present”.  I know the Pioneer Blu-ray BDR-2208 drive works properly because I have already published regular DVDs in it and had no problems.  I thought perhaps it was a problem with the initializing of the disc whether you choose (Mastered) as opposed to (Live File System). Neither works. I tired Phillips BD-R disc & Memorex BD-RE disc, neither works.  The only thing I noticed was the burner location setting is indicating a Pioneer BDR-208M burner rather than a Pioneer BDR-2208 burner. Could this be the problem? Remember that burner will burn regular DVD's.  Does Premiere Elements 12 require some other additional software on my computer to burn a Blu-ray disc?  Also is there a list of compatible Blu-ray burners? BTW I am using Windows 8.1.

Attached is a screenshot of the dialog box that opens up when I place a regular DVD or Blu-ray in my desktop computer.
In order for me to burn a DVD project in premiere elements if I do not initialize the disc with the above procedure I receive a media not present in the settings box of premiere elements.  I assumed I have to do the same thing with a Blu-ray too.  I've tried following this procedure, also tried using the live file system.  Also tried putting a fresh disc in without doing anything to it and always receive the media not present in the status setting.  One suggestion has been that another program is interfering with premiere elements.  I will also go out and purchase some Verbatim BD-RE disc, whether they work right now or not I can always use them later after I solve my problem.
I Have a lot of great suggestions from you guys and I really appreciate it.  I'm going to work on some of those today starting with loading imgburn and see if I can indeed burn a Blu-ray disc with my system.  I have already created a AVCHD BDMV file on my computer and I will start with trying to work with that and see if that is successful and then come back to premiere elements.  I appreciate the input regarding Cyberlink software.  I have version 8 (came with my Pioneer Blu-ray Drive) and was thinking about upgrading to the latest version but with your input regarding Power Producer I will save my money.
Another thought I had, with Blu-ray disc burners being as cheap as they are purchase one that has been proven to work with premiere elements 12.1.  Time is money, the cost of a new Blu-ray burner is insignificant.  I will consider this option later.

  • How do I burn a Blu-Ray disc with menus?

I have a 38 minute project comprised mostly of HD clips (.m2ts, .MP4 and a few .MPG). I try to render the project to Blu-Ray with Premiere Elements 12, it takes approximately an hour to reach 98% with message "Encoding Media", then switches to "Compiling Media" and freezes there (I let it go for 6 hours with no end in sight). Task Manager shows that it is not using any CPU cycles anymore, while it was using up to 96% of the CPU before it reached that point. I've been able to render this project to a DVD, to Folders on my HDD and to AVCHD successfully on a DVD.
For a test, I tried a 1 minute project with the same results. It wasn't until I removed the disc menu that I was able to burn a Blu-Ray disc. I am running project on a PC with Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit, an AMD Athlon II x4 635 Processor, 2900 Mhz, 4 cores, 4 logical processors with 4 GB of RAM. I have found a number of references to the 98% completion but no real solutions. Any assistance would be appreciated as I would like to produce a high definition disc with menus...

ATR and jerry9146, thanks for the replies. I am using version 12 of Premiere and, when I attempt to update, it tells me that I have the latest version. I am fairly new to Premiere although I have used other video software before. My motherboard supports up to 16 GB (4 slots) so I could try increasing the memory which would probably speed up the rendering process. I'm not so sure that not having enough memory would prevent it from completing the rendering process but who knows. Task Manager shows CPU usage in the high 90% and shows physical memory in the mid 50% during the rendering process...
My software always finds the media and lets me know if I have the wrong disc in (I had inadvertently inserted a DVD instead). I have tried both H.264 1440x1080i NTSC Dolby and H.264 1920x1080i NTSC Dolby. It does not have a choice for 1080p full HD.
I always cancel out of the Windows popup asking "How do you want to use this disc?" as I assume that Premiere will let the system know. Is that correct?
The movie menu that I chose for this project is a fairly simple one, Faux Widescreen from the General category. It contains 1 main menu and 3 scene menu pages containing a total of 17 scene markers which I inserted myself with Add Marker.
I had already taken out the Stop marker as I had read that it doesn't work for Blu-Ray anyways (and thought that that might have been the culprit). Spacing is good and there is no button overlap.
jerry9146, I have successfully burned an AVCHD file to a DVD thru Premiere and the quality is pretty good. Does the workaround that you suggest produce a Blu-Ray quality file?

  • ENCORE CS6 gives error message during the burning of Blu-ray Disc

I did it again - upgraded my Production Premium CS5 to CS6.
I will not forget CS4 that never came to work. It was not a workable version, but at best an Alfa or maybe Beta version.
I was therefore naturally afraid to upgrade my reasonably well functioning CS5 version, but did it anyway.
My fears kept unfortunately connectors. Audition CS6 scratchy and crunches a lot when I change Audio Device from MME to ASIO. It should be noted, that none of my other programs have this problem neither my Soundbooth nor Audition 5.5 which I fortunately still have installed. So it is only Audition CS6 that crunches with ASIO4ALL.
Encore CS6 is also a problem child. When I try to burn a Blu-ray Disc I get, in the final phase, following error message: Blu-ray Error: "device error", Code: "CreateStcSequence: Fail to write M2S file"
Fortunately, I can open the project file in my Encore CS5, which do not have the same problem. Encore CS6 cannot be used as a standalone application - I still need to have a previous version installed to complete my projects. It is not fair.
Unfortunately I can see that many others have the same problem. Even worse, however, that Adobe still has not come with an update or fair solution of the problem - after so long.
It annoys me infinitely, I every time have to spend so much time on the Internet in an attempt to find solutions to remedy Adobe problems. These are programs I have paid dearly for - exactly twice as much as others living in the U.S. pay - just because I live in Europe.
If there is a user who has some useful suggestions I would appreciate it very much.
I must complain about my bad English.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Jim,
ISO files also works for me, but that's not what I paid for.
So far I use just the previous version CS5, but hope at some point to get CS6 to work.

  • Has anyone burned 1080p blu-ray discs using Final Cut Pro alone?

I am in the market for a new computer. Currently I am a PC user who has burned Blu-Ray discs using Pinnacle. I am dissatisfied with that software because it hangs and crashes at critical moments in the rendering and burn process. I am considering switching to Mac but will only do so if I can burn true Blu-Ray movies which are playable in an ordinary Blu-Ray player.
I have read some of the discussions on this board and it is not clear to me whether it is yet possible to burn 1080p Blu-Ray discs playable on any Blu-Ray player using Final Cut Pro alone. Can someone confirm for me whether they have done this? Some users have indicated they can only output 720p using Final Cut Pro (which is not very satisfying). Others have indicated it is necessary to use Adobe Encore. If you have to use Adobe Encore to burn, why use Final Cut Pro at all? Why not use Adobe Premier Pro for editing and Encore for burning?

    David S. wrote:
And yes you can author single track 1080p blu ray discs with Compressor 3.5.
But that's not what the OP asked, "using FCP alone."
Why not use Adobe Premier Pro for editing and Encore for burning?
Well, why not just put CS4 on your PC, especially considering you already have the BD hardware?
There is no truth to the rumor that applications running on Macintosh are any more stable than the same apps a PC; all systems crash.

I want to burn a blu ray disc from PP CC 2014 and do not have the Encore application. Is there a way to do that?

Here's a free non-Adobe solution as well.  It's definitely got a steep learning curve compared to Encore, but from my understanding so far, it may also be more capable.  (And it's still being developed, unlike Encore which is dead software.)

    You cannot use DVD SP to burn a Blu-Ray disc. But you can use the latest version of FCP to create Blu-Ray discs. There is a tutorial here;

  • Burning to Blu Ray disc (25GB)

    Hi,
I'm not understanding some of my searches on this.
I am trying to burn files from Arpeture and iPhoto....they both are around 80 GB and I have 24GB discs.
However when I try to burn to the disc the first time (with 24GB of data) it stated a warning: Too large to fit on disc.  Remove some files and try again.
I did that and it still gave me the same warning.  I tried on a few of my computers and I received the same warning.  I'm using a External ODD&HDD device to burn.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for your help.
    G

I used Virtual CD to emulate BD burner and burned to iso image. I burned the iso with Imgburn at 4x on same brand BD disc and its all good. Used Premiere's same session to burn directly on a TDK rewritable BD disc and it went smooth. Both discs can be read by Windows. This time I disabled anti-virus on next Windows startup. I also disabled firewall, stopped Windows automatic update and Windows automatic maintenance. Sometime they do thrash the hard drive and cause failure when burning disc. Those two discs that had failed were I guess due to buffer issue as I got few "waiting for buffer to recover message.." in Imgburn and also maybe it was burning way faster than the disc could handle. I saw it burning whole 18 GB in just under 15 minutes for a 6x disc. My latest burning to BD discs have no issues reading by Windows.
Windows did see the blu-ray burner when I had issues with first two discs and I burned on DVD disc as well for same project. It could play dvd fine but I had problem with those two discs only.
The only thing is I am yet to test the menus with blu-ray discs. I download Powerdvd and WinDVD trial version but Powerdvd gives black screen and WinDVD won't start after the splash screen nothing happens and it disappears. I tested with Leawo and it does show the main menu with background music but the virtual remote doesn't work. I will try on someone else's computer or PS4 to test the menus. I think it should be fine with menus.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Premier Elements 12 - Exporting trimmed AVCHD files from the project timeline, to a separate folder for burning to Blu Ray disc with other software?

Hi, can anyone help please.  This is the first time I have used this forum.
I use Premier Elements 12, a PC, 64 Bit, Windows 7, high powered computer.
Just started trimming AVCHD in this software.
I would like to know if it is possible to export trimmed AVCHD files to a folder elsewhere (files which were originally imported into the project timeline), so that I can burn the trimmed AVCHD files (not in 'Project' form)  to Blu Ray disc (using another software which I know that works to burn video files to Blu Ray disc).

    Kathy
Thanks for the update. Your progress sounds very good.
Premiere Elements 11, 12, and 13 are similar. But, version 13 has significant feature removals and a new Elements Organizer.
So, when viewing or reading tutorials, try to determine the version of the program being used for the tutorials. As I typically write
principles tend to remain the same from version to version, but the features tend to move, change, or be discontinued from version
to version. And, it is frustrating to be armed with principles when you cannot find a feature.

  • Burning to blu-ray discs

I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 to burn videos (PAL format) to Blu-Ray discs. When I use the maximum number of files permitted, the final disc is only about two-thirds used with about 8 Gb left. This happens whether or not I tick the Fit to Contents box. Why is this happening? Am I doing something wrong?

By "files" I mean I just keep adding video clips until I am told there is insufficient space then I remove enough files to enable burning to take place ie I presume I have used as many video clips as I can
