The iPad does not support Bluetooth Printers. Headsets, Speakers, Keyboards, Hands Free Devices, In car Madia centers but not Printers.
To use a printer it must be AirPrint Compatible and be on the same Wifi network as the iPad.

I came over from a Palm Tre 750. This is my very first apple product; Had trouble pairing my palm keyboard at first. Apple said it was not compatible with I Phone 4. There's a trick to paring it; and mine works perfectly. I have the Palm wireless 3245. Put the keyboard in paring mode, then pair the phone. A notice will appear on the screen; you can't type the required numbers to get them to pair unless you write them down or remember them. The trick is to hit cancel, then "ok" at that point type the numbers on the keyboard and hit enter. Check the bluetooth connection, it should say connected. You need a 3rd party app to do BT file transfer or other functions between iDevices.

Try using 0000 if the instructions for your Bluetooth don't provide a passkey (PIN). Also, see if this helps:

Some external ones do not work with the Mac's although most do. There are some driver compadibility issues with Mavericks, so I would wait for an update.

If there are no drivers for Yosemite you might be in trouble.. HP will tend not to support printers once they are EOL.
Getting it running over wireless rather than USB might be worthwhile.

Well... no help was found here.. so I abandoned the wireless- ness of my printer. I bought a
small 10 port hub because only 2 USB ports really isn't enough with wireless mouse, wireless internet
and any kind of printer. I also bought a long USB cable. I now print--wired since this can be done
as an alternative to wireless with this printer. Because I don't want a cable "hanging around"
when the printer is not in use, I simple disconnect it and reconnect when I want to print.
It's a temporary solution others may find helpful as well. Apparently there's been a lot of
confusion and problems getting this printer set up wirelessly with our MacBooks.
Shame on HP for not helping us out!

Does the printer actually support BlueTooth? If the printer is wireless, then most likely it uses Wi-Fi. Did you read the user guide that came with it? Or contact Canon tech support at their website.

You can connect your Canon 7D to your iPad Air to download photos from the camera to the iPad. You need two items to do this.
1. You need the USB cable that came with your camera. it has the small USB connector at one end and a standard USB connector at the other end.
2. You need a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.

I suspect it won't pair with your iPad, because it's paired with your phone, even though the phone is off. Do you have the instructions for pairing the speaker? If you don't, google them and see if the device can be paired with multiple devices.
