I am trying to creating a multi provider using four ods ? can anyone let me know how to optimize my query performance. Since my query takes a lot of time to get executed.

Dear Haritha,
You can create dimensions.But you will not be using these dimensions while running query. As you know multi provider doesn't hold any data.
When you create multiprovder using info cubes.While running query based on multi provider in turn it will use info cube's dimension...
As there will be not be any dimensions in ODS.
So while creating Multi provider based on ODS only, you need to create "ZXXXX" dimensions.. just for the sake of creating the dimension ...because if you dont create dimensions in will not allow you to create MP.

There is no standard bussiness content multiprovider for this.

Dear Mohan,
For creating a Multiprovider first you have identify what key figures you want to see and what characteristics are common in the both the infocubes , and then create a MP , with the two cubes, select the characteristics and key figures , then maintain the dimensions , Maintain the Indentification ( in the sense the common characteristics , how they should be picked from the base infoproviders ) and the last step is to select the key figures , from which target they should be picked in the query. if you require from both , select from both and maintain the restriction in the query with the help of infoproviders..

An infoprovider is an SAP BW object you can use to create and excute queries . Info providers include objects that physically contain data , for expale ... data target like info cube , ods onjects , and info objects ( char , att, text or hier ..)
They also include objects that do not represent physical data storgae :
Remote cubes , sap remote cubes . and multiproviders.
info providers are objects or views relevant to reporting ..
info providers can include
info cubes ( basic cubes and virtual cubes )
ods
char obj ( with attt or text )
info set
multiproviders

When creating a collage, how do I get rid of the sample picture frames in the background?

Which version of PSE is this? if it's 11 or 12, you could choose a single photo layout from the layouts panel (click button at bottom right of screen), but generally speaking for these versions there is no sense in using Create to make a collage at all. It's not like some of the earlier versions where there were things you could do in create that you couldn't do in the regular editor. Anymore, for collages, you're better off starting with a blank file in the editor and the graphics panel.

Unable tp create multi provider for ODS objects

Hello Gurus,
I want to create a multi provider or an Z ods object. When I do the same it does not show me the Z ODS objects. But it shows me the Standard SAP ODS for creating multi provider.

Hi,
For the ODS that you are trying to use, check if the BEx reporting has been turned on in the ODS object settings. If it is not, then you cannot use it in a multiprovider.

Creation of Multi Provider, using InfoCubes | Error in assigning dimensions

Hi All.
I am tryin to create a multi provider using five Info Cubes, sat A, B, C, D, E. Now all of them have chars and KF's. some of them are common.
I selected the relevant info providers, then in the Identification part, I selected "Select All" for Chars/ Time chars as well as KF's.
now when I am trying to Activate the Multi Provider, it says " No Dimension Assigned to InfoObject x, y, z and so. on ".
its clear that there is problem in assigning dimensions fr chars/kf's.
So in the Edit Multiprovider screen, I click on Dimensions. Then it prompts me to select "One" InfoProvider.( The options being from A, B, C, D, E) and if i select any one, (say A),the chars/KF's present in A, are getting assigned the dimensions, but the chars/kf's from other Info Cubes arent geting the dimension assigned.
what to do now? can any one help me out.please

2. Select the characteristics you need
3. Select the identification criteria
4. Select Dimensions and assign characteristics

Input Ready Query is not enabling on Multi Provider...

Dear Folks,
I have created one Multi Provider which is having 3 info cubes, out of three info cubes. 2 Planning Cubes & 1 Normal Cube.
I have created one Aggregation Level on top of Multi Provider and created input ready query which is not enabling as a input for key figures.
Do you have any idea on this.

Check the following points to make your query as input enables,
1. Drill down or filter all the characteristics present in the query.
2. Check whether the "Open query in Change mode" is checked in Query properties.
3. Check whether your real time infocube is in "Plan mode"
4. Make sure that your planning cube is not locked by any other person when you are trying to open your query.

Created a multi-colored brush using pantone colors

Hi, I am trying to create a multi-colored brush comprised of a single pantone color at different opacity settings, i.e. 100%, 75% and 25%. All of the multi-colored brushes I've seen have a variety of different colors, this is not what I need. Is this possible, or perhaps there are already brushes that will allow me to alter the color patterns. I would like to change colors and their respective opacity if possible.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

As I (mis)understand it, you may create an object with the desired colours and transparencies and shape(s), and then turn it into an Artbrush, which will then be stretched to fit the path and adapted in width through the Stroke Weight, or proportionally adapted, depending on your settings.

Incorrect Non-cumulative values in a Multi-Provider

Hi everyone,
I have created one Multi-Provider using Info-cubes 0IC_C03 & ZSD_C03.
The requirement was to get the "Invoice value" instead of the "Stock Issued Value" in 0IC_C03.
I have used the characteristics 0CALMONTH, 0CALDAY, 0MATERIAL, 0PLANT & 0SOURCESYSTEM in the MP.
However, when i execute a query based on the Multi-Provider, I notice that all Cumulative Key-Figures are showing correct Values, but the Non-Cumulative KFs (Val Stock Qty etc) are showing incorrect values (Large Quantities are displayed).
I am not sure why its happening? Please Help

Hi Ram,
Previously i was using a variable on 0CALMONTH for restricting the data which resulted in Incorrect NC values.
Later on, when I changed the Restriction based on 0CALDAY, the query was working fine.
Moreover I also included all the Characteristics present in the Validity Table of the Cube 0IC_C03 in the MP which i didn't initially.
I guess those two changes made the difference.

Multi provider not pulling data

Hi All,
I have 2 data targets ,1 is 0PA_C01 cube and 2nd is a custom DSO.i created a multi provider on top of them and made the identification process properly for chars and keyfigs.in my case 0HRPOSITION is the common char between the two data targets.when i see for the data in listcube transaction it is showing only data related to the cube it is not showing DSO related data.
In the list cube transaction info provider column is showing only 0PA_C01.
Please suggest me if i am missing something.

both of your suggestions are valid but no use in my case,0hrposition is having data in both data targets.if i copy 1 position value into another data targets it is showing values,it means there is a problem at multi provider level.
**the multi provider not at all pulling the second data target values ,i tested with some other data targets in all the cases values for only one data target are coming.
i am in BI 7.0 SP20.
can someone suggest more inputs?

Multi-provider can't add one time dimension

I have created one multi-provider, saved. I can't activiate it, so I try to add one time dimension characterstic,. for example :
Calendar Year/Month
I right click the "Time" dimension, only I can change description. the " insert" menuitem is greyed out. so how to add one time characterstic?

The MultiProvider definition contains an InfoObject that has not been assigned to the relevant InfoProviders.
Procedure
Choose Identification and highlight the assignment for InfoObject 0VALUE_LC, or remove the InfoObject from the MultiProvider.
but I can't find "identification" , where is it?

Trying to create a property that has a structure to it

Hello:
I am trying to create a property that has a structure to it. Specifically, I am trying to create a multi-valued property called checks. This property is composed of check number, check date and check amount.
The data for this should display like the rows in a table, like an Excel spreadsheet.
I realize this is a tall order. However, is this possible? I have tried the composed of feature, but did not find this to work.
The best I could come up with so far is to have three multi-valued properties each for check number, check date and check amount. The user would then need to ensure that the first entry for check number applies to the first entry for check date, and then the second entry for check number applies to the second entry for check date, and so on, and so on...
Any ideas?

Hi,
You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

Multi provider is not getting exact data.

I am working on BW, I have created a Multi provider with three cubes and one ODS, I have added total 16 objects in this Multi provider, while I am executing this Multi provider in LISTCUBE it is showing only four fields data, all fields are having data but in listcube 12 fields are showing empty.
How can i get the remaining fields data also,
Please help me to get the data,

Hi,
Check that there is data in the cube that is available for reporting.
Try to include 0INFOPROV in the query to verify the InfoProvider from which data is being pulled.
Try a LISTCUBE on the cube to see that it contains data as per the filters, or selections in the query.
