I am trying to create postcards in the postcard template, the "Moving Postcard" to be exact. Do I really have to create all 4 from scratch?

This is just about to cause a major rift between my husband and I! I was talked into getting an iMac after being raised on a PC and I have to tell you I'm not liking this one bit! Please someone tell me that I don't have to try to make all 4 of these postcards look the same? Why will this iMac not apply the changes from one to all 4? Or is there something I'm missing?

You make one, group it and option shift drag the design to the other locations.
There is virtually no software that multiplies the design out for you automatically.
Business Card software does this, but is pretty pointless IMHO as a commercial printer doesn't want you to do it.
What you want is just for people printing out multiple copies on their desktop inkjets.

1. Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
• Use this in Your movie project

Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser

large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provocing it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
• OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

iTunes is no longer syncing my iPhoto library to my iPhone 4. Everything was syncing fine when I first got the phone, but, over the past week or so, it's stopped syncing photos.
Now, after attempting to start from scratch by deleting all the photos on my iPhone, iTunes won't sync ANY photos from iPhoto back to my iPhone. I've restarted my phone, computer, etc., force quit all photo-related apps on my iPhone, and tried various combinations of turning iTunes' photo syncing on/off, switching photo sync folders, etc., all to no avail -- I can't get my iPhoto library back on to my iPhone no matter what I do.
Anyone encounter a similar situation? (I've already sent feedback to Apple.) Thanks in advance.

From what you say, I understand that you already installed Windows 7 on a second volume. Is this correct?
In that case, it doesn't make sense to use VMware Fusion unless you want to run Windows and OS X at the same time. If you do that, you will keep all your data.
If you haven't installed Windows 7 and you want to install it in VMware Fusion, you will be installing it in a virtual machine, so you won't lose anything.
I recommend you to have a look at VirtualBox first > http://www.virtualbox.org It's free and it's sufficient for most of users

Does Dreamweaver CC create the initial html/css from an exported PSD? Or do we have to make that from scratch?

I am experimenting with the new Export feature in DW CC 2014.
In the tutorial, the instructor uses the sample files that we could download from the Adobe DW Homepage, which include a PSD & a HTML file.
The files are named:

Is the HTML file automatically made in DW or did he have to code that manually?

Do I really have to create object instance before jsf can update its value?

I have jsp page with following fragment:

myBean is defined as managed bean of class MyBean:
public class MyBean {
     private MyObject obj;
     public object getObj() { return obj; }
     public void setObj(MyObject obj) { this.obj = obj; }
MyObject is a POJO with getter and setter for property "value".
Now, when I display this jsp page, inputText will be empty, since getter for "obj" returned null. If I enter something in this inputText and submit the page I will get:
PropertyNotFoundException: Error testing property 'value' in bean of type null
This exception was thrown in PROCESS_VALIDATIONS phase. As I see, JSF is expecting getter for "obj" to return MyObject instance, where instead it returns null.
My question is: do I really have to have already created instance of object for validation to succed?
I know that this problem is easy to solve by placing
     private MyObject obj = new MyObject();
in class definition or similar initialization in constructor, but..
What if "obj" is a hibernate bean, that has a full tree of other hibernate beans as properties... In this case, creating a new instance of "obj" and initializing all of it nodes, is no more "one line of code" task, but instead 20 lines of, IMHO, unnecessary code.
So I was wondering why is JSF unable to create new instance of object whose properties is trying to update?

I'm aware of jsf IoC, but this does not simplify my problem.
In my case MyObject is class used by Hibernate and can be something like:

private Residence res;

// ... more properties, getters, setters
So, in order to fully create Employee instance, I have to create and set its Workgroup and Residence properties, and then create and set State inside Residence...etc. Defining all hibernate classes as managed beans, and making dependancies between them cannot solve this problem.
Since I don't want to add constructors or initializers to hibernate classes, the only solution I can come up with is to do manual creation:
obj = new Employee();
obj.setWorkGrp(new Workgroup());
obj.setRes(new Residence());
// ...etc
and place this code in obj's getter to be executed if obj is null. This is the reason I was wondering why can't this be done by jsf automaticly?

I want to create an iPad-Magazine using the DPS. I read all the stuff about the alternate layouts and watched the videos on the channels. Now I ran into what I might call a problem for that I couln't find a solution yet. With my creative cloud membership I can create unlimited app using DPS...but I simply cannot create one app that supports iPad 1&2 + iPad 3 display resolution???

- So if I want one issue of a magazine to be iPad3 compatible then I have to create another app?

- Do I would have to create a diffrent icon for the SD as well as the HD-app so reader could choose in the App Store?
Example: All my apps on my iPad2 of course have 1024x768 but when I recently syncronized the iPad3 with iTunes then I automatically get the update-Info over the App Store icon that I can update the new version of the App optimized for the Retina-Display.
I mean that is a simple feature that nearly all apps are offering. Of course if I would not use the DPS I would have to again hire a developer and pay him for updating my already published app...but at least he could resubmit it supporting both resoutions.
I hope you are getting my point here. That is an important feature that should be build in no matter if I am a Single Edition customer or Business or Enterprise one. If you would do a catalog or something else for your client, he sees that all his apps on his iPad are updating according to his new device. But the catalog app that I did for him not. He would ask why can't you build it that way for me? I would have to explain him: Sorry I cannot create both version in one app, you and your clients have to download two versions of your app if you want to have it look nice. That is not a very good selling argument for me.
I really have to say that if there is no workaround, I am a bit disapointed because it does not make sense to create two seperate apps of the same app. I really would be happy to receive some helpfull advise on how to get both resolutions supported and when that is going to happen or even better...I misinterpreted the whole thing.
And please: NO I don't want to upgrade to business or enterprise edition!

I will try that out. But do you see any chance in the near future that when you create an article out of InDesign, that you can then add multiple layouts with different resolutions? Then I wouldhave one article that contains iPad SD&HD as well as V&H.
So that would be a time saver. Create only one folio that already have the different resolutions covered. I only would have to work with one article inside folio-file for all the devices. Just a thought.

I haven't used my iPod in a few months. Gave it full charge, music showing on screen and in iTunes. But when I push play, it says "Now Playing", but the time isn't moving forward and nothing is playing. I have already reset it and that didn't help.

I've had this iPod Classic for a couple of years, and only use it every so often, mostly when I travel. Just bought a speaker so I can listen in the house. Gave it a full charge. The music is showing up on the screen, and it also shows up in iTunes on my computer. When I try to play something, whether it's a song, artist, album, whatever, the screen shows the name of the song and displays "Now Playing". The time stays on 0.00, however and doesn't move forward; and no sound is coming out whether on the new docking speaker or with a headset. I tried the reset procedure, but still no change. If I cannot "go back" when using a website I cannot close that specific tab and have to close them all. I have had to restart from scratch several times today . Having a choice of closing the last tab only would be very useful. Why can't I?

After I browsed a page in a websit, I could not close that page by using the X in the rt. hand top corner as when I did this Firefox told me that it would close all tabs. It was the only way out so I closed them and started from scratch.

If you’re sure that you have a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU and 2 GB of 667 MHz RAM, then what you have is not a MacBook Pro, but an Early 2008 MacBook (did it really cost £2000 then?) — and with that model of MacBook, you could upgrade to Lion. Whether you stay with Snow Leopard or upgrade to Lion, you might find that upgrading your RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB could be helpful.
You can confirm which model you have by selecting About This Mac on the Apple menu, clicking the “More Info…” button, then clicking on the “System Report…” button, and looking at the “Model Identifier” value in the Hardware Overview section. If you have an Early 2008 MacBook, then the model identifier will say “MacBook4,1”. If it gives a different model identifier, then include that model identifier in your reply, and we can determine which model you have, and which CPU and speed of RAM it uses.
Note that Firefox 26 still supports Snow Leopard, and that Mozilla makes no CPU recommendations for Firefox on OS X other than “an Intel x86 processor”.

When I minimize my email page, instead of putting it at the bottom so I can reopen, it closes it out and I have to start all over. Not sure what I did .

I bought a new computer and did not have this problem with the old one. Anytime I minimized any page I was viewing, it would put a little box down at the bottom on the line with the start and other buttons but on the right size of the screen. I could just click on it and it would open it right back up. Now if I try to close something to maybe work on it later, it closes it out.

SPRO->Business Intelligence -> Settings for Reporting and Analysis -> BEx Web -> Set Standard Web Templates
and execute the query.

Do I really have to create a new account?

When I go to login, I get a screen with my settings (all correct), implying that I have to set new settings. At the bottom of this page is an error message telling me to contact a forum person.(can't remember the exact title)
Without creating a new account, I am able to see my "Welcome Mrs H" message and I can choose some items from the list. But I can't choose "My Questions". I get other error messages if I go to topic page and try to go to page 2. And even if I log out, I came back to the page once and I was still logged in - logged out and came back and I was logged out.
What is happening to Discussions? Is it sick? Even when I was able to navigate fine this morning, it was markedly slower than ever before.
