I am trying to do a factory reset on my macbook air, but when I do the command power button, I am only seeing the macintosh HD option not the recovery hd option previously mentioned.

I am trying to factory restore my macbook air, I tried following a youtube video performing the option + power button and am only getting the macintosh HD option not the recovery HD option. Is there another way to reset the computer?

The proper shortcut is COMMAND-R, not COMMAND-PowerButton. See the following:
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

It depends upon how the other machines are connecting to your MBA:
If the the other machines are also using wi-fi, they can connect directly to the wireless access point (router) without going through your MBA
If the other machines are connecting to the MBA using ethernet you can share your wi-fi connection to them

For security do not appear in code, but once you hit ENTER it has been passed in Terminal ...careful to write the code properly and kaps lock

Trying to use my home sharing on new macbook air, but I physically can't drag the songs into my music. What do I need to do to change this?

Basically, I've set up my home sharing between my macbook air, and our mac mini at home. The home sharing option shows up on both computars, and the music is visable and available to listen to when I bring it up on home sharing from the mac mini, but when I try to actually drag the music over to my music on my macbook. Both of our itunes are completely up to date. Is there any way to fix this?

Hello. Im trying to download OSX mountain lion on 2013 Macbook air but I get a message saying this isnt supported. Could someone advise me please - its my first mac so please forgive the stupidity!

As shldr2thewheel pointed out, a 2013 MacBook would have shipped with Mountain Lion installed. It is a specialized version for that specific model, so a version of Mountain Lion downloaded from the Mac App Store will not work.
If you ever need to reinstall the OS, just use the built-in recovery partition, or Internet Recovery.

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. Why won't it let you sync? What happens when you try to sync it? Any error messages from iTunes? How is your iPod configured to sync music from your iTunes library? In other words, what options do you have selected from under the iPod's Music tab in iTunes? To access this tab, plug your iPod in, select it under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes, and over to the right locate and select the Music tab along the top.
Or are you trying to manually manage your iPod's contents? In other words, is the Manually manage music and videos option enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?

Updating from the iphone itself is ONLY available with ios 5 and above..
You update as always by opening itunes and connect the iphone. If there is an update available it will prompt you to update.
Your can ONLY updtae to the latest available software which is ios 6

It will be necessary for you to install Lightroom from an upgrade installer. An upgrade requires the original serial number from the version that you first purchased, as well as the serial number for the upgrade. The upgrade serial number, by itself, will not work.

On your Mac.......
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click on the Disks tab at the top of the window
Click Erase Disk
On the next window that appears, select the Quick Erase option, then click Erase
The operation will only take a few minutes.
Now you are ready to start new backups of both Macs. Back up one Mac first, then back up the other. Do not try to back up both Macs as the same time.

Assuming this is not the normal startup chime, one beep means no RAM...so something in the path to the RAM has failed.
Best option is the Apple store genius bar to have the techs test the system and see what is going wrong.
