I am trying to download a variety of files and when it is finished, the Mac freezes up and the task bar continues to blink on and off. I have to go into Firefox and actually quit the application to continue. Any help is very much appreciated

are you backing up files, or doing a Time machine backup, either way, the Time machine will STOP when finished and show "last backup at XXXXXX" meaning its done...... OR if when transferring files, it will show a progress bar on your desktop and vanish when files are copied.
Open up the Hitachi drive (your G drive is made by Hitachi, and the best made by the way).....and see if the files are there.
a MORE VISUAL way is to open the hard drive file, and drag and drop files INTO the Gdrive and you can see them visually be copied there as you do it.
To see your HD on your desktop GOTO FINDER......PREFERENCES....then GENERAL TAB.........check the box marked HARD DRIVES.........then your Gdrive will appear on your desktop........open it from there, and DRAG and drop files from anywhere INTO the Gdrive....... easy visual way to see the files being copied into the Gdrive.

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

I can't see any videos in sites like Youtube. I have Quicktime Mac versions 10 in the application folder and Mac version 7.6 in the utilities folder. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.
*** may have found a fix ? *** Thanks to your post re: GDI objects I checked task manager ( added column "GDI objects")and saw 700+ whereas working 6.18 was 160 ish Got thinking - what could possibly use that many GDI objects ( firefox only uses a few hundred and it's a platform ) Then it hit me - emoticons ! So in tools/ options/ IM&SMS/ IM Appearance unchecked "show emoticons"and also unchecked "show images and other media previews"restarted Skype and GDI objects now only 164 ( down from 729 )and all other windows are repainting fine and are usable again( my problem was RDP sessions that became unusable, as I work remotely ) To be sure, have rechecked the options and restarted skype and see 700+GDI objects ( goes up from 660 when place call to echo/sound test )and removed them again to get only 164have also rebooted a few times and gone through the whole processof unchecking emoticons, restart, rechecking emoticons, restart to make sure itsnot a fluke. pretty sure this has fixed it for me ( so I now have a working 7.6.0.105 on XP SP3 ),and as your problem "sounds" the same I hope it also works for you. I have just had a system update. Safari 5.1.7, a security update 2012-200 and Remote app update and now when I go into a site with flash it says I do not have adobe flash. I have installed it from the site but still no luck? any help would be much appreciated Cheers Dave

Why does it say "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel." when trying to install itunes64installer on my b4 bit windows 7 acer pc? Any help would be much appreciated...
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Did a clean install 10.9.4. on a Apple Stock 1TB Fusion Hard Drive. When I run "diskutil list" via Terminal, everything is wrong. I have "EFI" and "apple Boot Boot OSX" in every dev/disk** Everything is out of place, How can I repair? Im willing too reformat if need be, however thats what I did in the first place. When I copy a CD onto my macbook pro I sometimes get several songs that are "out" of the album. How do I get them all together in one album? Any help will be much appreciated as I cannot seem to find the solution to this problem in the troubleshooting section of iTunes.
Generally all you need do is give tracks from the same album a common Album Artist. See Grouping tracks into albums. The images need an update but the basic info. still holds.

I just checked your account, and see that it's active. Are you trying to sign in via Adobe Reader? If so, please choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader and make sure that it-s up-to-date. The most current version, 11.0.07, should alleviate that sign-in error.

Photo stream pictures can be viewed only on the devices they were sent to. You can't transfer them back to your phone (or anywhere else). If you didn't back up or import the photos to a computer, and they are no longer on your phone, they're gone. -
I used to be able to download files from the Harddrive of my Sony Handycam, but now it won't let me import them while going through "log and transfer." I have tried to update my settings, but this doesn't seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated
Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

Every time I try to access Add-ons, Firefox freezes and I get an "unresponsive script" warning that states, "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding . . ." The script in question is nsExtensionManager.js:623. I reinstalled Firefox, but that didn't help.

Have iPod Nano Shuffle 6th Gen. I purchased it when I had Windows Vista. I have since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate . Was fine with Vista. Now, it keeps shutting off during the song, 3 or 4 times. Have to press power button and then arrow to restart song. I went to my iTunes and ran diagnostics. Passed all until the end. The last test had a red dot failure. It said no iPod, iPhone, or iPad found. Does someone know how I can correct the problem? iTunes is always updating, so I am current.

Is there any way to Sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5? Apple support says that only iTune can only sync contacts from "Contact" which is the default contact of Mac. If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5. Can anyone explain what I need to do. I am buying a new computer, need to de-authorise my old computer and then put the library on a new windows computer. I have my library backed up to the cloud for which I pay extra. I am not at all technical so if anyone could give me idiot instructions I would much appreciate it. Finding the instructions from apple assume I know basic,s and that confuses me!

This started happening a couple days ago. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing. I also disabled my firewall and antivirus to make sure nothing was blocking that connection. I read, in this community, that you could open itunes in safe-mode and turn off the "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" selection in the preferences menu. This stopped my itunes from crashing upon opening but I no longer have access to my movies in the cloud. If I select that option, as soon as it tries to connect, itunes crashes. Is there a fix?

Try Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Cache.
Try signing out of the store and then back in again.
See if you are able to re-engage the "Show iTunes in the cloud purchases" option.
