I am trying to download & install Photoshop 6 but setup fails with "Installer failed to initialize Download Adobe Support Advisor" I then downloaded and ran the Support Advisor; it reported NO problems.
I can still can not load Photoshop 6!
Lw_jr01 to clarify when you are trying to install Photoshop CS6 you are receving the error message that the, "Installer Failed to Initialize." Is that correct? If so which operating system are you using?

On installing Photoshop CC, I received an Installation Failed message (see below). What do I do now?
After downloading and installing Photoshop CC for the first time on a 64-bit Windows 7.1 PC with 8GB of RAM, I received the message: "Installation Failed.Installation completed though some optional components failed to install correctly (6)." What do I do now? Photoshop 6 and Lightroom 5 are previously installed on this PC and I have been a PS user since PS7.
Bonsinger the next step would be to review your installation log files for the exact errors which you received. I am trying to download/install updates. but i get a red "x" under the "status" of the update.
I am also having problems with the printer not recognizing my memory card, but it has in the past. It will spontaneosly display the message "connecting" on the screen of the printer, and I have to turn it off or unplug it to print. I am assuming these problems are due to not being able to update the printer. Please help! Is this update issue b/c of a firewall? If so, how do I turn it off?
HP C4795 wirelessif its anything like my Sony, theres a button top left corner that upon each press i get an audible bleep and the AV inputs come up on screen, i then cycle down to whichever input i wish to select!
in case your remote is different, the button on my remote has a square with a slightly smaller square just overlapping the first square.

I am trying to re-install Photoshop CS6. The files have downloaded but I get and error message that the Adobe Support Advisor is required to determine what the installation probIem is. I click on the link that says "get the Support Advisor here only to be told the Support Advisor no longer exists!! A blind loop. I need to have Photoshop CS6 installed...what do I do from here??
The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. Is there somewhere on the Adobe website that I can download it??

I am trying to install my CS4 Suite onto new PC with Windows 8. It installed Photoshop but nothing else. It is asking me to "Install with 'setup.exe'" Which i dont think is on there. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance.
Run the cleaner tool and reinstall with sufficient user privileges and security stuff turned off. Your install went wrong because you didn't consider this.

You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

I downloaded the 32 bit version of photoshop cc 2014. When trying to install I get the message that installer failed to initialize and that this could be due to a missing file. Has anybody a solution>?
Did you unzip the entire contents of the download zip file onto your hard drive before running the installer? You need to do that.
I have installed it myself and it went in just fine.
