I am trying to email a pages doc to a Microsoft Word user. They cannot open the doc. They will also want to edit and send back to me. What do I need to do? Add an app or format it differently?

Basically, how do I interact with MS users for Word? Best to use textedit rather than pages?

Correct for "Export", but Pages '09 has no difficulty opening .docx format files (other than the same incompatibilities that exist with .doc format files. Actually, until we trained the secretary of another organization to send .doc or .pdf files, I was opening (in Pages '09) the .docx files he sent, saving them in either .doc or .pdf format, then forwarding the result to members unable to open the .docx versions on their PCs (using Word) or Macs (using AppleWorks).

Since you've shown us the folder contents it's a good bet it isn't in use (no lock file). And it doesn't look like the file is mis-named as there doesn't seem to be anything else there that would be the .indd file (but just in case, open it in TextEdit and paste the first few lines here so we can see what the file header says), so the most likely case is the file is damaged. Is that on a removable device of some sort?
You can try the tool at Repair corrupt InDesign Adobe files on Mac OS X or send me a link to the file by private message and I'll try the recovery tool I have for Windows.

My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
You may need to go back and start over. Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router.

That'd be associated with trying to connect to the server(s) for one of the Adobe online subscription services.
(Edit PDF or PDF Pack)
These online services are separate and independent of the desktop application Acrobat.
It appears that you have had / are having internet connection issues.

Double tap the Home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar...tap & hold any app until they all start to wiggle...tap the red minus sign to remove every app shown. Tap the Home button when finished. Try to delete the app now.
