I am trying to finish an online class and Google keeps popping up on my screen telling me it can't find the page I'm searching. Get Google OFF MY COMPUTER!!
I am using Firefox while watching online class. I attempt to go to another page and a Google page pops up telling me that it can't find the other page.
First of all, we are talking about something common like facebook.com or youtube.com.
Second, I'm not using Google for anything; my search engine is Bing.
Third, I despise GOOGLE.
How the heck do I stop having anything Google interfere with my browser?
I am ready to use another browser if it will get Google off my back.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Hi to the Mac Folks,
I have 10.6.8 and have installed two new printers HP 8610 and an Epson 7880 and can not find the Page Set-up menu anywhere in the applications I a trying to print from. This is regardless of either printer selected.
I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5. The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?

if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders. You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

I am trying to use Acrobat Pro version XI to crop my PDF but can't find the "PAGES" tools
I have a 1 page PDF that is 9.5 inches wide with about 1.5 inches of margin. I want to crop off the extra white space and center the image so that it fits on a normal letter sized page. However, I can't find any sort of crop or trim command in Acrobat. When I google cropping a PDF I find references to a crop command that is in some sort of "pages" collection of tools but I don't have any pages menu either. Is there a way to use Acrobat Pro for cropping ? How?
I also have photoshop and have tried importing and cropping there but when I export the image back to PDF format I find that its 10X the size it started. Its important for my purposes that the file be small.Well it was installed yesterday and I spent hours trying to find the option as virtually the first thing I did when I launched it, so I'm quite sure I would have remembered if I changed it. However it was installed by a push from our corporate software distribution system so maybe that has a way of reconfiguring some options. Why they'd bother is a mystery to me though. I have checked calendar is correct and time on top of screen is correct?Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On. If that is set correctly - try a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

Can anyone help me get a new(er) Macbook that's running Mountain Lion migrate data from an old PowerBook G4 running 10.4.x?
I've restarted the G4 holding down "T" and have the Firewire icon floating around its screen, started Migration Assistant on the Macbook, telling it to get data from a Time Machine back up or other disk, have Firewire cable connected to both laptops, continue and the Macbook is just endlessly "Looking for Other Computers"....
Any ideas?
Anyone?Additionally, When I have the two laptops connected via Firewire, I do see the disk from which I'm trying to migrate data and can copy files, etc.
Not sure if this is helpful or not but thought I'd throw it out there. -

Hi I've an applet in a JSP that runs on a Tomcat 5.5 under Windows Vista. My problem is that my page can't load the applet because a connection refused exception.

basic: Excepci�n: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.syc.client.ScanAppletmore....The strange thing is that if I copy &paste the url in a browser window, it finds the jar and ask to open or save. So I suppouse is something on the sandbox of the applet or something like that. Why I can find the jar using the URL, but why the applet can't? Other thing that I don't know if is important for this is that I can't find the page using my IP or 127.0.0.1, it only works using localhost.
And yes, my jar is signed. In fact it works perfect on a non Windows-Vista machine, so I suppouse is something with the browser here or something like that. The port is on the exceptions list of the firewall but I've even disabled the firewall with no changes. I can load applets from other hosts, but I can't pointing to my machine, so I don't know if is windows, tomcat, or whatever. Please help!
I'm using Tomcat 5.5, JK 1.6 and Windows Vista as server. Using the 2000 port which is on the exceptions list in the firewall. I have also IIS7, but it gives no problems. I mean if I do http://myhost (port 80) the IIS7 initial page shows, but if I use http://myhost:2000 (which is the port configured in Tomcat) then can't find the page. I don't know if is something on the firewall, on the tomcat, or what ever.
Please help!I've seen this sort of thing happen when the server is misconfigured and reports the content MIME type incorrectly.
I'd suggest using a tool like curl or the Firefox LiveHeaders extension, to confirm that that's correct. -

You didn't mention what web browser you are using so it's hard to say.
One quick thing you can try if you need to log into the class right now is to download a different browser. Assuming you're using Safari, some possible alternatives include Firefox by Mozilla, and Chrome by Google.
If you continue to experience problems please provide more information about the iMac, version of the Mac OS, and which browser version you are using. Most browsers have the ability to block pop-up windows. You just need to check your options. Here's what it looks like in the current version of Safari. -

I recently began taking an online class. We are required to watch multiple videos. I was able to watch the QuickTime videos before, but now whenever I launch the videos in QuickTime I get the Error code 401. My teacher does not know whats wrong, because I do have authorization to watch the videos, I am just not sure how to go about it.
