I am trying to get my computer authorized to download itunes. The instructions aren't clear as there is nowhere to link or this???
I have tried but failed to get my computer authorized but when following the instructions, there is no link to do this? Need to get authorized to purchase and download itunes??
You can authorise your account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of the iTunes screen, if the menus aren't showing then control-B should them to do so

never mind... found it after finding someone else's answer to the same questtion. I liked the Alt S information, that was the greatest help. I was looking in the wrong place. That must be a common occurance.

It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone? I am trying to get my computer to print on HPC310. It was working until 2 days ago and then stopped working. I uninstalled the HP software thinking I could just reinstall and it would help but I cannot now install that software from the disk. How do I go about getting the old software I had on the computer and how do I get my computer to print. It gives my messages that it cannot find the printer or printer unknown.
Your operating system, Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6), does not support AppleTalk. Instead, in Snow Leopard the HP 4000 series printers need to be set up to communicate via IP.
Go to System Preferences and open the Print & Fax item. Is your printer listed in that pane? -

Assuming you have iTunes open and your phone connected by a usb cable to your computer, have you clicked on the sync or apply button in the bottom right corner?

2nd day w/my ipad2. Have spent 5 hours trying to get my ipod music to play on the ipad..it has been downloaded and synced. When I click on itunes , I get a window that says "Apple mobile device service is not started." I get music symbol when click ipod.

When I go into itunes to sync my computer with my iphone I keep getting message that I must download itunes 10.5, so how come I keep downloading it, but it keeps giving me this message and I can't sync?
What version of iTunes are you currently running? To check, in iTunes go "Help > About iTunes" and wait for the version number to scroll up from the bottom of the screen. For example, I see:

I reset all the settings last night, now I cant get any icons up, plus I'm on a local computer that cant download itunes, anyone know how i can get my screen back to normal? All it shows is the itunes sybol with the usb cord connecting to it.
Your only option at this point is to connect the device to a computer running iTunes so you can restore it.
