I am trying to install adobe 11.3 and adobe keeps unexpectantly quitting before the install is complete.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for Install problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it stll crashes installing...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

I'm trying to install a cd application and I keep getting the message 'you do not have permission to use the application FSP OS X' Even after selecting always allow and entering my login details it still won't accept it. Help!!..
Please repost in the Final Cut Pro forum. Have you considered upgrading your machine, if you are still running Leopard your machine may be as old as 5 years old. While this should not matter you probably won't get the performance you want out of a demanding app like FCP.

Trying to Install a plug-in and it keeps opening Terminal instead of Installer
When I go to the file and right click, I go to Get Info>Open With it says Terminal. That's not right and I know that but I don't know what is supposed to be there. Isn't it supposed to be some type of installer? There's a thread for Lion that says go to System/Library/Core Services/installer.app, well I have Mountain Lion and that isn't there, so any suggestions?

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

I fear that you are trying to download OLDER Software on a newer Operating Sysytem Meaning that you need to Install the Latest Version of Adobe on the Newer Operating System for it to work Properly. Be sure to always check the minimum System Requirements.

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended and an error occurs.
I am trying to install the above program and Error 30: The system cannot read from the specified device. My DVD drive works so I don't understand why it is not finishing the install. Then on my programs it says that I have Adobe Photoshop CS4. Any ideas?

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop elements 8 (that I bought a while ago and never installed) on my MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.6.8.
When I insert the PS Elements Disk, a PSE page came up with Read me etc which I read. I clicked on the blue PSE folder and a window with Bootstrapper.dmg came up. I clicked on that and a window opened asking me to type in my administrator passsword to allow Setp to make changes, which I did, twice... and then nothing happened...
Is there something else I am suppose to do? OH, another mounted drive appeared in Finder with a long name... "EFBB...........". When I opened it, it had an assets folder and two .js files (whatever they are)...
What more do I have to do?I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.

Still the same problem. How can I continue to install when it keeps asking for a password it doesn't recognize over and over again? How many times do I have to reset it then? Advice please
You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

Error 2330 when trying to install adobe reader 9.1
Trying to install adobe reader 9.1 on an hp laptop (pavilion dv6936us entertainment notebook pc...to be exact). It has windows vista home premium 64-bit os. when i try to install i get error message that says "Error 2330 Error getting file attributes: c:\Program file (x86)\Adobe\Reader9.0\Reader. Get last error: 1392. Please help.
Did you look "manually" for remnants of an old Reader installation ? (you could eventually try searching the drive for files and folders named Adobe )

Trying to install Adobe Air on Windows 7. Error: Application descriptor could not be found for this application (301).
AIR isn't an application, but a runtime that other applications use. It's similar to Java. You don't run it directly, it's just something other applications need to have present so they can run. You won't see any reference to it in your Start menu, though it will appear in your Uninstall control panel. The applications that use AIR (like Tweetdeck, BBC iPlayer, etc) will have links in your program list.

I'm trying to install Adobe PS CS3 for my boss on an other computer. I put the Program on a hard disc and copied it to the other computer now it won't open and says it needs the license. What can I do to make it work on this computer?
Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

run the cleaner (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then retry installing.

When it gets to "Installing required Shared Technologies" stage it gives errror "Setup has detected that Adobe Bridge CS5 (Bridge.exe) is currently in use. Please close all running exe(s).
